Does it have an advantage over the Raspberry Pi5? Q2: Can the OrangePi run without an external cooling module (heat panel or fan)?

Hello, the benefit of the octa core is roughly 50% more CPU power in a CPU contrained situation. The question is of course, if you need this raw throughput. As for the OPi 3B - yes, definitely!

Seems to be a useful little thing. But it isn't available now. We have to wait untill the end of October.

Hello, I fully agree here. Their documentation is quite good - but they have many weaknesses also. Plus, competition always is good for the market!

Hello, sadly not. I am not salty. I am just an honest observer, and I dislike people who claim things which are wrong. The Raspberry Pi Foundation always claims Shenzhen Xunlong and everyone copies from them, but it is untrue. Thanks for talking back BTW!

And you sound like a fanboy that has no clue about how to create computing solutions unless it's on a Raspberry Pi, and presumably only then because someone has made a step-by-step video on how to make the thing anyway. The Raspberry Pi shortages that you fanboys were the ones getting "salty" about anyway never affected me because I have enough skill and experience to build my own solutions on other SBCs or used SFF PCs - so when Raspberry Pi's weren't available, I just bought an Orange Pi or a small and used Dell or HP PC on eBay for the same retail price. It's your lack of knowledge and adaptability that means Raspberry Pi is a single point of failure in you building any solution, hence you're a fanboy about it - and therefore the one getting "salty" about criticism of it.
