This song and I'm movin' on are very powerful roadmarks in my life. I chose to believe God was always there for me and said no more to the negativity and things that were pulling me down. This song for me is spiritual. Unfortunately, other than my dear sweet Momma who is with the Lord, I never felt that kind of unconditional love from a human in my life, so I see this as Jesus saying, I got you. No power can snatch you out of my hand.

I am commenting a little late, but this song was actually played at my dad's funeral. He passed away when I was 10 years old, and I'm now 22 an still haven't let go of him. I Love You Daddy, I'll see you again someday!

This song holds a special place for me as someone who fights depression every day!!!! I have an amazing man who is my strength when I have none left, who holds me when I need comfort and who lets me scream and cry when that's what I need to do. So for me this song is about being there for someone in whatever capacity they need at any given moment.

Billy rascal flatts does not have a bad song. This song helped me through the darkest part of my life. You're right if someone tells you the words to this song you believe them. I know I did when my daughter passed away at the age of 6 and I was in a very dark place and someone wrote the words to this song down and gave them to me and he was able to pull me out of that dark place. Everytime I hear this song I remember just what he did for me.

I commented on another video this was my father/daughter dance with my dad when I married my current husband. My dad helped me survive losing first husband I wasn’t sure how I would get through the funeral let alone day to day... I know it was my dad being there for me.

This song is actually about addiction ! Absolutely beautiful lyrics and his voice is incredible

Rascal Flatts is amazing. Each album has "that song." The one that just reaches straight to your heart and either heals it or breaks it. Some of the best include Why, Sarabeth (Skin) and Changed. Then they have their "power" songs like Stand; and their "fun" songs like Banjo (with Steve Martin) and Rewind. They're definitely a group to explore further.

The lead singers roommate in college was jamie foxx ❤️

My family laid my Brother to rest yesterday...i am sending this to my sister in law.

My 15 year old daughter has been estranged from me for over a year due to her mother's brainwashing (Parental Alienation). She moved to Florida from Atlanta with my ex-wife, and I moved to Utah to purchase and run a business. Through a whole series of false allegations over 12 years by the mother, (Proven false by multiple courts and Child Services investigations) my daughter has decided she no longer wants a relationship with me or my family. I love this song, and I sent this to her phone, to let her know, that I'm here for her and will always stand by her. Thanks for this reaction. Makes me bawl every time I hear it.
