The Ranch bred specifically for this. The one at Yellowstone was born without intervention.

Possible have to wait to see if either or both of them grow darker as they get older. Some animals do. Lippizaner horses are born black and turn completely white when adult.

Selective breeding or not,2 weeks later another white bison calf was born in Yellowstone. This year Pluto leaves retrograde for the 1st time in 248 years. The last time this occurred was in 1776.

NOOOOO Bison are not "peaceful like cows"! That is TOTAL IDIOCY from a person who has never studied human/bison interactions. Heaven help fools who "Disney-ize" a bison. They are really big, very fast, very territorial about keeping AWAY from humans. The ranchers who raise them KNOW HOW DANGEROUS bison are and keep their distance. The park rangers where bison live have to force dumb tourists not to get too close. And as an American I can tell you that incidents about humans harmed by bison because the humans invaded the home of the bison for a selfie are rarely reported fully, especially overseas. Just like shark attacks are bad for big tourism, so are bison and bear attacks bad for tourism. Phone videos are really the only way the stories get out and get seen. Bison area very undomesticated, very wild animals who have survived for millenia because people were afraid of them and got out of their way and STAYED out of their way.... Bison were only hunted by desperate but skilled hunter-gather people. They NEVER PRESUMED they could walk up and pet the "Beautiful Gentle Creatures like Cows". They saved that kind of idiocy for people like you, sad to say. And the calves get weaned by their mothers and then they both go their own way. No lovey -dovey, moms being involved in how the calves grow or have birthday parties for one another. THEY WOULD KILL YOU IN A HEARTBEAT JUST FOR INFERRING THEY ARE COW-LIKE.

I hope these white leucistic buffalo aren't hybrid , many are, but a leucistic bison without cattle dna is very important.

This one is albino with pink nose, white hooves. The wild one is born to wild herd and has black hooves, eyes and nose. Just like the white lions in South Africa ‘breeding them on game ranches is a perversion of the sacred.

I would keep all those blonde and white bison and calves....the mothers too. They're sacred. I wouldn't get rid of any of them.

I’m disturbed there are no native people included in this article. Purposeful breeding does not make for a rare occurrence. This is just an advert for the ranch. SMH.

Wonderful just praying that this ranch isn't a pay to hunt destination. There were reports a few years back, of another Texas ranch having sold a hunt, and the death of, a white buffalo.
