I cannot recall any dad who already was a champion... All of them were mediocre fighters, that's probably why they were still hungry for glory

Certain people you respect just at first glance. Even if you did not know this was khabib's Dad you would instantly know this was a great man worthy of your respect and worthy of listening to everything he said if he decided to impart knowledge on you. The respect He commands in that room is deserved and inspiring. What a shame too soon for a great man. God bless him and his family

obviously strong, he is a retired military russian army, he practiced judo and sambo when he was in the military, when he was a coach 18 of his students became world champions in the event  .

This great man passed,big respect to him,he trained his son to become the best in the world.god bless you.

You can see khabibs gameplan is built by his dad, fathers plan….. rest in peace, your hard work and knowledge will not be forgottten.

same here... I was like - fuck - what would it be like training under him your whole life? That move to turn over your opponent by taking his post with your striking was so simple it's genius. You just don't think of it - when you're there you just keep hammering away but it's so obvious you can turn them over.

The best coaches were not necessarily the best fighters (often they were not, and that's one of the reasons they had to think more about the game and thereby have a better understanding than naturally physically gifted people) and the best fighters are not necessarily the best coaches. Luckily, Khabib's father found his true profession in coaching some of the best fighters in the world.
