Peace & Blessings to everyone who happens upon this comments page. I have been searching for what I remember as Lonnie Liston Smith instrumental which I've had no luck finding since around 1981-82. Yeah I know that's nearly 40 years yet I'll search til I find it or die first. I first heard the song when I was a teenager around the end of the seventies to early eighties. It use to be played on WABQ 154O in Cleveland which is no longer. I enlisted into the Army and was stationed in South Korea when I was able to record the song from an 33 rpm album to a cassette tape. Somewhere between South Korea and several duty station I lost track of the recording. In the late eighties I was driving trucks, mainly east of the Mississippi and especially up and down the I-95 corridor. There were stations that use to broadcast the syndicated radio show called "The Quiet Storm" at night that use to use the Lonnie Liston Smith sing I'm looking for during breaks from songs while the DJ ( either Mel DeVaughn or Vaughn Harpe ) talked over the song playing in the background. The song began with a 20 1/4 note cascading keyboard and triangle. This repeated 4 times then a soft flute started to accompany the song. It was a hypnotic, mellow and mesmerizing soothing sound. It for sure was not the song; Moments In Love by The Art of Noise which was also used on quiet storm shows. Can anyone help or give me any leads as to I have covered Lonnie's discography and have come up short. Thanks and peace.
