Dear Ardehsir Khan, First thank you for psoting this invaluable piece of music. The Peshawar ensemble were known in the mid 30s and they were very famous in Hindustan (India and Pakistan). I have heard their songs on tapes only so this is awesome! The song they perform is akh Im Yar which is an old Armenian song. It was written by BerberKhan a decade before. Great Job guys and I would love to see more.
Long live Vahe! Thanks Hairenakitz for sharing.Akh im sirun yar, inchoo heratsar, inchoo heratsar intzi moratsar"
wow.. a 1937 camera that can zoom in and out.. truly amazing

akh akh akh vahe mi zarner martou akh
I think your RIGHT
As naregseferian noticed, the guy in the back with glasses is Vahe Berberian himself, the comedian that is still alive today and was born in late 1950's. So the clip is definitely a recent Armenian creation in Los Angeles. I would say between 2005-2007 period and performed purely by Armenians. Note that Berberian is a comedian...this might be one of his acts.
vala asiga berberis yrkne amen mazes gdreloun gerke
How many members are still alive? Do they still perform? Is it true this footage was smuggled out of the middle east? Amazing footage. I saw them when I was very young and living in Cairo.
Good Job man, but can i know that from where u get this Video
This is a bunch of modern-day Armenian comedians. The guy with the greying hair in the background is famous in Armenian circles; his name is Vahe Berberian. I can't believe so many comments were made on this band's authenticity! Well, perhaps there was a Peshawar Ensemble in the old days, and perhaps the University of Bologna will be interested, but this video does not have much academic value. Yet. :-)
This must be Peshawar,a'la L.A. California USA. The singers con-artists, including Mr. Vahe Berberian. The accordeons are of recent make, and the eye glasses by armani or gucci design. However to top it all the rope lighting at the edge of the stage a 5-7 year old innovation used commonly during X-Mas time in where did you say? PESHAWAR.....PAKISTAN....Ha?
vahe lav ngareir sefilim bf
lavek yerkoum loooooooooooooo
I think I can help you with that. Where do you live?
Anybody know of any motion recording cameras back in 1937 that could zoom in and out? lol
Was there a "Peshawar Ensemble"? What is the connection with Pakestani (Peshawar=a Pakestani name) and Armenian music? Enlighten me someone, because I never heard of this group before this.
Is this true or what... they did a facinating job
ovqer en ajs ergoxner@. ev vor erkrum en aprel/aprum?
But why is this called Peshawar Ensemble? I am honestly lost. What is the connection. this question from a Peshawari.
tata has a good version
The song is a ok. Look at quality of the video and at singer's glasses-they are not made in 1937. Some of armanians like to offer everything armanian more older than it is in reality! lol
berberianin dedene
these guys seriously look talibani
i dont think this is peshawar,, that guy in the front has those long arab like clothes,,,
