I love blogs like these, I really wanted to go but I was on a business trip in New York, but being NYC wasn’t all bad, just had some FOMO.

I’m really glad you highlighted the Harry Potter builds around @13:35 as you showed a lot more detail than other creators. I definitely feel like you can get a lot of inspiration for your Mocs which was what brought me back into the Lego fandom after only originally being there for the first two waves of the 2000s

Speaking of rare i just built set 6692 last night. The 1983 Lego truck and trailer. I can't even remember obtaining it but i found it in my collection and all the stickers are still intact and the original driver parts complete with his hat were still there. There are 4 pieces missing from it that i am still looking for amongst other junk :). I was more surprised all the Lego labels are fully intact for that old though. It is amazing how resilient Lego stickers and pieces truly are . Especially when they were just tossed in with tons of other pieces in no particular order. Another set i built was 6654 which was a truck , trailer with a motorbike on the back. Apparently the motorbike is worth a fair bit. I am missing 3 pieces from that one too but nothing that stops it for display purposes.

Brickworld was a ton of fun. It felt like a reunion. I'm sorry you thought the convention was cold, I was over heated at times. 11:22 That was Caleb from season 2 of the American version of LEGO Masters. I only get to see maybe 5 minutes of each show of the Australian version.

AMAZING Video !!! Was so cool seeing some of these MOCs up close for longer than half a second. This has to be one of, if not the, best BW Chicago videos this year. Bad take. All because people can’t afford it doesn’t mean no one should be able to. When I was a child I got 1-2 sets a year, and I didn’t look at others in envy.
