Why did you had to tell me about this orange harpoon piece? Now I need to buy it 😂 I had no idea it has glitter in it, which as you're saying makes it only piece in this color ever existing. Awesome video, love your content about cool unknown lego facts.

hey man, i have a question. is the color light mint green rare? if you see this please respond bcuz i'm very curious
I love the pastel and vibrant colors, and am glad that LEGO has been producing some of these lately! The Flamingo Pink is very pretty, it's awesome that it glows! 😍

Check out my comment above about my unique relationship with color. To me pink, purple, blue, and stuff are impossible to distinguish. They're all different shades of the same color. Love talking about color though, even though it's all book learning. I've read tons of books, encyclopedias and other reference material about how we perceive, classify and measure. Color. Did you know that before computers there were only 255 colors on a kind of 'table of elements' looking chart? VGA monitors in the '80s bumped it up over two million and now HD HiDef 5G screens allow billions! Too many to possibly name all of them, computer capability allows changing the frequency of the three primary colors in subtle ways making it possible for almost infinite variation! Amazing stuff!

Glad to say i have a chrome Vader in very good condition. And it was a steal. I honestly feel kinda bad for the guy i bought it from in hindsight.

One rare piece that I tried to find (and eventually did for a yellow lightsaber for the Rise of Skywalker Rey) is the translucent yellow rod in the Lego DC set Green Lantern vs Sinestro. The rod is part of Sinestro's staff. As far as I know, that is the only set to ever used it. Not an easy peace to find.

@Steve Gallo so she does usually come with green, blue then there is another one thats like greenish yellow but definitely not the same yellow as the sinestro set

The newest solid color introduced before Vibrant Yellow was Vibrant Coral. Flamingo Pink was used for part 4278579.
Fluorescent colours, like that Flamingo Pink, would be an amazing addition
3:43 I heard from a thumbnail and video title that this series actually saved Lego from going out of business! Apparently it was a full documentary…
A metallic red Iron Man would be really cool.

I love that the most common Lego color is lime green, because lime green is my favorite color! Nice video SpitBrix! Keep up the good work! 👍

I really like Lime green, too! Power Miners had a great color scheme.
Was surprised to discover that vibrant green is that common. One of my favorite colors and I thought it's pretty rare, lol.
I have had the idea for a video like this for over a year now but other KZreadrs wouldn’t do it. Cool to see it done
I stopped buying Lego pieces, I just get bricks from different manufacturers and since Lego has been on a massive cost cutting trip over the last 20 years they don't even have the quality argument anymore.

I'd argue that Lego pieces are of MUCH higher quality than they were 20 years ago. As nostalgic as I am towards the old sets, the brick quality was HORRIBLE. Pieces frequently got discolored, cracked, broken, or otherwise damaged. And it wasn't even limited to Brittle Brown either. Minifigure torsos and arms cracked all the time.
Great video I'm surprised that the black chrome Darth Vader is only $450 don't get me wrong that's a lot of money but I would expect it to go for more especially because of the low quantity.
The original colors of Lego are red, blue, yellow, black, and white. Green was only used for trees and baseplates. Transparent was special, and grey came later. Rails were blue, and jumpers were white 2x8 plates.
I would love to see a second video about obscure lego colours; for real!!
Weird fact the LEGO modoc has a trans green minifig head in side the head
Great vid! It’s weird, I have a ton of the rarer colors that appeared in older sets, but something as common as lime green is foreign to me, since it was produced more in the 2010’s when I took a break from lego during college.
I love all these videos that go into obscure things, like colors ^^
Thanks for your research. This was very informative! Love your content. :)
I like all your LEGO videos, but this one is essentially fascinating to me. I like talking about color and I know a whole lot about it but it's only book learning! You see I'm colorblind. And not simply red Green colorblind like 80% of the worlds colorblind population...my retinas are so devoid of rods and cones that I barely see and differentiate primary colors. Secondary and tertiary colors are really hard for me to tell apart. I remember, back in the 1980's, there were like nine or ten Lego colors. Only totally clear for transparent ones, no pinks or purples, no orange, no brown, one green, one blue, one red, one yellow, one grey, you get the idea. My first best most favorite set from those days was the now classic airport. It had like five or six of them. I already owned some inheritance Lego from the late '70s and I had some old pieces, but even as more colors were added I had no friggin' idea how far they were gonna go. When Blacktron came out I had to ask my dad about the transparent yellow ones. " Is that green or yellow" I could not tell. Then pirates with brown and dark grey pieces. Then later on more blue pieces including the transparent blue. Then high school, culinary school and life without LEGO for over twenty years. I got back into Lego in the last 18 months and I currently have more LEGO than I originally gave away back in '95! Went to brickfest Denver back in October...that mosaic thing they did was super cool! I was almost completely useless though! So many colors now that even normally sighted folks were having trouble. I don't seem to have trouble with black and white pieces and I was walking around the group asking the participants for the colors of tiles the others were looking for. So that was fun! I noticed some stuff there about folks having trouble with certain pinkish and purplish colors between the guide sheets and the actual required colors. I remembered that a couple hours ago when I saw your video about pink LEGO. Absolutely fascinating info. I love LEGO, even when I owned none, I still purchased for friends kids! But really, aren't there just too many colors of LEGO now? I realize my just not having the ability to look at a piece and tell you what color it is. I pretty much guess based on what it looks like compared to other things which somebody has told me what color it is. I always thought cantaloupes were green throughout because I asked someone " what color is cantaloupe?" They said green. I remembered then later when trimming the peel off one the Chef said " you gotta cut off the green stuff." So, that pretty much demonstrates my relationship with color. I I love talking about color though. It's like a magic y'all have that I will never understand!
my local lego store sells like cups of lego bricks of choice and one of the choices were 6x1 sandgreen bricks and when I bought them I didn't know it was rare so that's nice
the Darth Vader pieces were not the only ones to use black Crome, I remember getting a brick keychain of the same color.
Now I know what to make the primary color for Mana's (an oc) partner build when I get that far
You are unique because you are showing pictures off and not building in purpose and I love it🙂
Wonderful colors!
Lord of the rings and Hobbit sets feature a lot of sand green pieces. Also Ninjago has been using them a lot recently
Slight correction: There were some events that gave away chrome Vader polybags. I actually got a couple from LEGOLAND back in the day during a special event
I remember that crystal, my brother had one. He also had that big chunky bottom of the rocket that made sound effects.
"Lego only uses 40 unique colors" In 2023, there are 44 standard active colors, 11 transparent colors, 6 metallic colors, and glow-in-the-dark white, for a total of 62 unique colors. That's ignoring the 7 satin colors and 4 glitter transparent colors, which bring the total up to 73 if included

also, I'm pretty sure Medium Tan and Medium Brown were introduced a few months after Neon Yellow.
A colour I think Lego needs to reintroduce is Pearl copper. Much like it much more common colour pearl gold, pearl copper is a metallic colour that has a glitter like shine to it. One common source of this colour back in the day was the arms and legs of the bad guy robots from Lego Exo Force. I know the steam punk community would wild over a proper copper colour to work with.
I actually haven't sold my 2010 Hogwarts castle because of the sand green
I knew I recognized that metallic green mineral, I still have that classic space set at home !
1:02
i don't remember if i had the chrome vader, but when i was really young, i went to a daycare ran out of a house in my neighborhood and i'd always bring legos to play with and one of the daughters of the people who ran the daycare (who was probably more than 5 years older than me) would play with me. one day i realized my vader minifigure was gone and to this day i believe she stole it from me. was my favorite miniature just for the cape
I would kill for Metallic Black. I build mechs and robots and that is a great color for dark metals
Great vid again but what happen to lost but not forgotten series those were great
I'm kind of surpised lime is such a cheap color. This color is ideal in a lot of builds to use as 'hidden' parts.
2:54 old yoba has left the chat
I remember when me and my bro were hyped to get purple brick
We got one of the black chrome Darth Vaders as a kid and we totally ruined it being kids. I wish my parents had taken it and kept it safe for when we were old enough to appreciate it. Have a few of the parts lying around somewhere but their condition is very poor.
I think we can conform Spitbrix lives ether underwater or in low gravity. Spitbrix keeps saying: “LEGO pieces floating around”
Most people: It's just bits of plastic, what's the big deal? Me: OOGA BOOGA SPECIAL COLOR MUST HAVE IT
The newly proposed Dark Saber is somewhat more fitting than its predecessor. It's not great but it's good.
0:42 a lego brick Puts brown plate on top: PERRY THE LEGO BRICK Send this to Dr doofinshmerts
Great video
The Time I’m at is 2:37
I love how they’ll throw a random odd colored brick hidden in there sets lol 😅
let's not forget about bionicle gold and copper those are only used in masks
Thanks! I am now realise how valuable my parts are.
the most recent new LEGO color [to my knowledge] is the Galaxy color used in the new Space series sets
Oh man.. I've got that Darth Vader twice 😅.. Both in great condition. I wonder if it's worth to wait until they become even more expensive and sell one 🤔.
I think have a dwarves mining set with some sand green love that color.
I feel very old now, i have tons of legos sets and none of than have these fancy colors, not even standard green.
The vibrant yelow also react under uv ;)
Color me intrigued.
5:28 These would be best served in Superman MOCs
Wanna give Bionicle fans PTSD? *Lime green joints*
Today, there a so many colors. Unfortunately, there are also so many off-color pieces that the Lamborghini Sian never has two pieces with the same shade of lime green. 😆
in very old lego sets you had yellow blocks you could look trough
I’ve got chrome, swamp, lots of clear colors
Oh my
Those sand green Marconi bricks come in two different molds. The ones used in Ninjago City are the common ones, so don’t get all excited like I did at first, lol
Chrome needs to come back but which the meatal color is underneath to keep looking better.
I have both of the sets with the chrome green gem.
Yes
earth orange - brown Light Bluish Green - turquoise
Wasn't the most recent addition prior to the yellow vibrant coral, not teal?
Chrome green crystals, got one or two of those.
I actually just used the chrome green gem in a castle moc 😮
I hate videos like these, they remind me of all the now-valuable stuff I had as a kid that got thrown out or lost. A couple hundred dollars for a Lego brick here, a few thousand for a Ninja Turtle there, I could’ve been set for life.
I want an army of metallic black frogs.
8:14 i have that colour from lego friends/lego city sets
8:14 Ironically, I don't. Seriously, I only have like 10-15 of these color bricks in my collection lol
only if my 11yo self realised how rare my 5th darth vader was... 💀💀
quastion, where can i find the cmyk or pms colours lego uses?
What about the trans neon green/yellow crystal I wanna know if it’s rare
5:50 and purple
Did you know on the colour palette they also included the transparent ones
The LEGO Overwatch Wrecking Ball set also contains a lot of sand green.
2 words sand red
I doubt this one is that rare, and I don't know what it was called, but one color I've only seen in some older sets was like an ultramarine/cobalt blue. I have some pieces from a "Knight's Kingdom" set (which I believe include the King's torso piece), but I haven't seen them in any newer sets since that theme.

Check set 70835. It released with plenty of cobalt blue bricks
I built the Statue of Liberty set what color was it? I think it was in the line of landmarks sets.
Hi
No chrome black was used in a Lego 2x4 brick keychain
I actually have one of the metallic green crystal
I have sand green Lego pants!
wow nice
Yo the light blueish green one also came in the monkey kid drone ship
Cool i hope i can find one of these...
I'm surprised that metallic red has not been used for Iron Man in any way. Don't you want our money TLG?
RARE
I got a golden chrome pizza piece
I've got that darth vader
flamingo pink is cool
>Lime green is the most common piece colour *Bionicle socket joint PTSD intensifies*
Занимательно и информативно 👍
I completely forgot about the chrome green crystal I have hidden away in a lego rock from the spaceship set! 5:25
Wasn’t there a lego keychain that had black chrome paint?
What about Maersk blue?
