Yup. I think this was after only one of several nose jobs. She has always been beautiful, regardless of cosmetic procedures..

See and people got her fucked up because they said she didn’t have fans and look her and all her fans she’s a icon in her own right to just like the rest of the members of her family. I love Latoya Jackson.

With Latoya I just think she didn't have great production. She needed to do what Janet did and find a team who really knew her voice. I love her song #JustWannaDance. That whole Starting Over album is 🔥🔥🔥 and very underrated. She just needed great management as well. Joe wasn't great for her nor was Jack Gordon. She's an excellent business woman who had the wrong team back then

@@lauras.2347I do think he did a good Job in helping her to rebrand herself after the whole Jack Gordon debacle. She was able to regain her integrity and she was able to regain the favor of the general public. The reality show was a great move. The 2nd autobiography was great as well. But he definitely could have done a better job. I just hated the fact that he tried to turn it into Romance and then he ended up stealing items from Michael's home after his death unbeknownst to Latoya. I'm sure she was devastated by that. She no longer associates with him and I just hate that she probably felt like "damn another man who I trusted with my life and career has betrayed me". I just wish she could've had solid management that was truly 100 percent behind her. Latoya could have been the Jackson with a makeup line, hair line, fragrance line, beauty products.. hell she could have a candle line, home interior decor line etc... Oh the wouldve, should've , could've(s) that come to mind 🤦🏿‍♂️

@@true90skid trust me I know a lot about Latoya Jackson I’ve read both her books she’s truly talented, but her husband JackGordon abused her. We all know that but people don’t realize she’s truly a queen just like Janet

If Latoya find a better manager then jack gordon she should have a successful career in music or acting or fashion designer

Thank you for posting! Seeing this makes me upset....why? Because Papa Joe REALLY dropped the ball when it came to La Toya. There was a goldmine with her marketing wise and he didnt pursue it. She shouldve been doing movies, television shows, hosting award shows, etc. Not to mention a perfume line, clothing line, jewelry line, etc etc. In addition to music but finding the right producers for her. I think she would've succeeded if she were marketed more for an European dance audience. Again, he really dropped the ball of what could've been for La Toya....just saying...

She basically ended up being marketed for a European dance audience by the end of the 1980’s. She was signed to a German production company. The reality is the money in Europe was paltry compared to success in America.

@@RocStarr913 I hear you but her being marketed at the end of the 80's in the European market was overshadowed by a controlling, abusive madman that she was forcibly married to....and I was always told the potential to make more money in Europe was always greater than it was in the US...

Thanks for posting this CJ. I remember seeing this years ago. It was amazing to see it again. Heart Don't Lie had so much exposure that I think there was some shady things going on with the charts on that part. She had good size turn outs in terms of fans and was promoting the hell out of the album nationwide. I would think that she would have had a top 40 album. I have always argued that there was a shady deal with La Toya and the charts. She has sold more albums that she has ever been given credit for. I will argue that to the grave.

The Heart Don’t Lie album only charted at #149 on the Billboard 200. The album didn’t even sell 500,000 copies. She was a cult figure at best, largely because of how campy her image was by this time and because she was Michael Jackson’s sister.

CJ, I'm sure you noticed the conspicous difference in her vocal quality here, as opposed to 1987-2002-ish. It is way more full-throated. Interesting, no?

Yeah I've noticed, definitely interesting. I wonder if it has to do with her still being sheltered and a JW in 1984...
