Just as a side note - black tigers are melanistic, so the concept of 'only X left' is not really there. It's not like melanistic tigers would go extinct. It could be that right now there are only a few numbers spotted (since this is a pretty rare genetic condition). And they might all die off considering the average lifespan of a tiger is only around 10 to 12 years in the wild, but they could again spring up in the future. In any case we should strive to always protect these majestic animals and all other wild life :)

I am a wild life enthusiastic from odisha, what I have observed and noticed is that, Every year one black tiger video is released from odisha and all starts saying wow wow, but it's a diversen tactics from actual fact. Odisha has the wrost track record of protecting tiger, elephant etc. Tigers are almost finished in odisha ,you will hear tiger news of Odisha from simlipal national Park only because of few black tiger, nobody exactly knows the actual population, exerated number numbers released but that are all doubt full. Odisha others Sanctuary has no Tigers left, all dead or poached, that news media never covered, there's a whole network of poachers is present, I think in all odisha, recent strings of elephant death in odisha due to poachers bullet wound is example. Wild water buffalo is extinct in Odisha. One inter state tiger reintroduce project failed miserably at satkosia,,,Odisha government should first realised the importance wild life and its potential in odisha, state government is not serious enough here, too much politics here. It the sad reality of Odisha wild life. Other states like Madhya pradesh has developed a huge wild life tourism but Odisha government is just sitting and watching its wild life to vanish one day,,very sad.

It's more likely that it's a result of inbreeding or the conditions in the forest allowing some of the cubs born with the recessive gene to survive to adulthood. It most likely has adapted it's hunting tactics to it's color as it cannot blend in like a regular tiger. It might be hunting more like a leopard, relying completely on ambush hunting from the shadows.

What a fantastically dumb comment !. This is a colour morph and that condition accurs on several animals across the world. But yes use your half baked knowledge to claim glory for India. India is glorious for other reasons, not bcos is some black coloured tiger. Bcos guess what there are colour morphs for jaguars and other big cats. For fucks sake there are white African lions as well. Educate yourself !

@@jellalfernandes1309 no they are not weak but let me tell you some that guarding a forest is not like guarding a small house it's like guarding an endless land with 100s of entry point so sharing these type of videos can attract many hunters mainly for skin

@@nikhil..1234 even guarding a country is not like guarding a small. Country has even more land than a forest. When 26/11 happened did you give this same excuse or did you ask the the coast guard to guard out territorial waters from terrorists entering in. Imagine if the coast guards gave this same excuse that the oceans are big and not like guarding a small house.

As beautiful as the animal is, it was irresponsible on the forest department guy to share that video on social media. Poachers are just looking for hints to kill these beautiful animals, and by providing a live video of the animal, it only allows these brainless poachers more access to the beast. Please let the animals be and especially with these rare species even if seen let them be, because there are some foul minded people in this world who just want to end that animals life for their skin.
