I have never realized how lucky we arabs are to understand directly those words ... We r so ungrateful to God ... While non arabs r struggling to memorize just a small surat.... How many arabs don't open the quran but few times a year?!! 😢

as a paksitani we have to consider multiple translations in urdu so that we might not get biased but get the true meaning. I wish someone had told me earlier And I would have learned arabic.

I think they just had a different style of recitation. While Qari Minshawi and Qari Abdul Basit are in a league of their own, Sheikh Yasser or Sheikh Sudais definitely are a few of the top modern day qaris. 50 years later the next generation will argue that there is no one like sheikh yasser😄😄. So we should be happy with a touch of a fingertip we can listen to any qari we want and therefore appreciate them all.

This reminds me of the other day, even as I write this, the eyes full up. I was in a market place in Morocco, it was busy , hustle and bustle. All of a sudden I hear and see this old man, about my nans age. Reciting in this majawwad style. It was if my heart and chest found rest amidst the nonsense. I could physically feel something and also anxiety was leaving my body. This is the word of our creator. FACT

This is why progress is important (humans). Without progress we could have missed this beautiful recitation.
