@@jellyrolls2765 A version got added to the regular tree which anyone can fly. The one they were referring to is a premium that came first. Rather than an attacker its classified as a bomber and has a bomb sight in game.

+MrBboy Russians complained too much, their CAS is mediocre compared to German and American CAS. Now we get stuck with unrealistic bomb fuses... and for what purpose? I suppose the only purpose for me was to make me quit playing the game

Yeah man, the Gladiator Mk.II (or were they Mk.III ?) F and S are so damn rare. The A-26 too, special Ki-10 and etc etc etc. That damn XP-55.... I encounter it every damn match. Same with Arado.

+Lars Sassen Wait, the XP 55 is good now? I bought one about a year ago and it was more or less terrible. The average game was climb to altitude over half the game then get one, maybe two good passes before you're out of energy and dead.

The wirraway is useless? Are you kidding me. It's one of my favorite planes to use. What they didn't mention is once you ditch the bombs it becomes a good turn fighter. And with a gunner that helps cover you as well.

I'm waiting to get the A-26. I've been playing for over 2 years and I still don't have it. It's the only aircraft in WT that I'm desperate to get at the moment.

Interesting. When I saw this list, I thought it would feature planes that are only available in events and no premium ones.

Actually, I do quite well in the Wirraway. Yes, there are definitely better fighter planes out there, the 7.7mm can seem like they're firing Nerf Darts at the enemy planes, but that thing can turn just as well as a bi-plane and when those 7.7mm's decide to work their magic, it is a beautiful plane. Also, since it was originally an advanced trainer, it is very easy to fly. It would be a good plane for pilots with little experience to fly. Yes, it does cost a couple GE, but it's not that many. My main complaint would be the lack of a bombsight, but again it was originally an AT, not a bomber.

*talking about night battles without marker* "this is where this plane shines due to its silent engine and small size". Yeah, both the germans and the night witches can confirm that the Po-2 is very effective during the night.

i sometime fly the arado. the technic is easy. go over a base, drop the base, land and go bomb again. if you are engaged in a dogfight against a jet fighter, you don't need to worry, the arado turn very well, just dogfight a bit the time that some allies come to help you

5 of these are rare only because Gaijin walls them off behind seldom run events (Po-2, TB3, XF5F) or they have been pulled from the game (La-174, P-39Q-15). The rest are rarely seen mainly because most players would prefer to have a fighting chance. I enjoy taking out my BTD and XP-55 since they are both excellent bomber hunters for me. And the Wirraway is often fun in low tier games. The Arado suffers from a limited bombload and no defensive armament while few jets it matches up against have trouble catching it. Otherwise, most are rarely seen simply because they seldom get matched up in ways that allow them to be competitive. Personally, I have everything on this list except the XF5F, TB-3 and P-39Q-15 and fly them all out with the exception of the Yak-17 (it's just not fun, even when spaded).

Look how all bombs shown in this video are NOT using the now mandatory new 5 sec from drop assault fuse or min 5 sec time fuses. The damn arcade user base have so much influence on the developers (most of them are arcade players I guess) that they managed to shove down the throats of all realistic and simulator players the removal of the impact fuse, something that was historically available since forever, in all wars.

For Christmas Gaijin Entertainment should give us a battle trophy with their country of choice and 5000 Golden Eagles.

No mention of the XP-55 being broken as intended or that the XF5F has the incorrect armament (still), some of these aircraft aren't even rare; like the Po-2 that's been given away every 6 months since it was first released and where's the A-26?

The PO-2 ... the probably sturdiest and deadliest plane of all time. It might even survive flying straight down onto the ground :D

The Wirraway is only good as a collectors item??? I take it out without bombs and use it as a fighter all the time! Mainly because everyone underestimates it making it all the more rewarding when I kill them with it! I've even killed 109E's before with it!

You forgot about Tu-2 and Soviet P-63C-5. This two are available only for alfa-testers. And you forgot about A-26C, Finnish KV-1E and mb something else

There's the metal attacker from closed beta on the US aircraft line that you forgot.

Isn't the LaGG 3-4 one of the rarest planes? Definitely seen more Skyrockets, XP-55s and Destroyers. Well, I've never seen a LaGG 3-4 other than in a video. The Wirraway is also a pretty good plane if you can force enemies into a turning battle - it's awesome against low tier Japanese planes.

boston... havoc... ki96... these are all incredibly rare I see btds all the time but ive never seen a havoc or boston (aside my brothers havoc and flying the boston in tank arcade) in actual combat

I think that Italy and France should have their own Tree Line. They got a fair amount of planes and tanks at the time of history in which WT is set in.

Of course the XF5F has a weak armament, just before it got handed out to the player base Gaijin swapped out its original 20mm cannons for 12.7 machine guns

Have most of those planes the exceptions being the Jets and the P-39 variant....a lot are shite, that's why, XP-55 is alright the BTD-1 Devastator is amazing in RB Tanks, it can turn decently enough to counter fighters, not a dog fighter though just enough to get a position on an unaware plane quickly or a last minute adjustment, amazing bomb load and good against bombers. Wirraway isn't bad in Arcade, it can turn decently just weak guns, so stick to bombing were possible.

I love how most of these planes are considered useless This planes are rare not because you can't get them anymore but because no one uses them because they are crap

there are much more rare aircraft, like the Lagg-3-4 with 1 cannon and 4 machineguns, but seems that gaijin dont said nothing about it (go to dinamic campaing, and chose a russian campaing with planes of 1940)

When the enduring confrontation test was going on i loved to kill Arados in my Tempest mk V. It was easy, and a simple way to grind. They weren't very rare either.

dont know al of my vechiles who is rares but got like russial Lagg 3-23, P39N-0 SU ,PO 2 then british DB-7 american KI-43-II ,catalyna a model and so on:P so it should been awesome if u could do things like that

Almost all of those are "rare" because they were only offered for a short period of time (which DUH, of course they will be rare) or because they are premium and people aren't willing to fork over the money. Also, the XP-55 is rare? I WISH!!! I see that thing in 99% of matches of its tier. It is not rare in any way and is the prime example that Gaijin doesn't care about this game being historically accurate, like they claim. In real life, that plane was a piece of crap with only 3 built, of which only 1 still exists because that specific one was never truly flown and tested.

No Seafires? You rarely see one.

Xp55 is so op, best in game money I've spent ever on, I've got 2.56 million from it in RB and AB, so op....
