You can learn guitar, it's never too late. I took it up at 30 when there was no internet to find help, I took no lessons just got a couple of floppy books, best decision I made in my life. The hardest part is getting your fingertips hard, takes about two weeks of sore fingers.

i didn't hear you mention it, so I will.....This was done entirely LIVE....No pre-recorded track and lip-syncing here. Ren is in an entirely different league than most. I see people recommending "Hunger" and "Bittersweet Symphony", and they're good. But to me, Ren's Live stuff is where he really shines. Ren was also in a band, "The Big Push" for you to check out,.....he does a hell of a cover of Bob Marley's "I Shot the Sheriff". They also do a cover of Bongo Bong that's really awesome.

@@strawhatboys Yeah if you look into more of his videos, especially the one shot live takes, pay attention to how he uses the natural acoustics of his surroundings. Dude is amazing. Great example, the Tale of Jenny, Screech, and Violet trilogy. I HIGHLY recommend it. All three at once, trust me we won't mind the length.

I’m so glad I went through the comments to see this!! I’ve only been listening to Ren for a week and know very little. No words exist to describe how his music makes me feel. I have 3 incurable autoimmune diseases that can affect my mental health. I am so glad I gave Ren a listen. Cliff Beats page does a great job of reacting to him (and other artists) and he always wants to know more and more about the artists so if you haven’t checked his page out too, I’m sure he’d appreciate it. NOT trying to lead people away from this channel, I subscribed in the first few seconds of the first video but if you are like me, I watch a couple reactions per song because sometimes others have different ideas regarding bars or may not realize some of the entendres

Nope. Ren's rap is irrelevant. He uses a number of brushes, a number of paints, to colour the canvas - rap is simply one of them. The over highlighting of rap is utterly ludicrous.

want to check out his rap skills "The Hunger" or FISHER retake "Losing it" he just one of a kind. Big Push for rock side and the tale of "Jenny and Screech" {in that order with violet last} for more story telling, and his collaborations are close to radio music. amazing artist

The genius of Ren's lyrics, is that whether you've suffered with mental health 🤚🙋‍♀️ or not, we ALL have an inner dialogue whether we admit it or not; not all as extreme, but the extremes are covered so beautifully in this song that I feel it has literally gathered together strangers across the world to Stand like Ren - "on their own two feet" - & fight the battle through Rest (which is actually a Biblical principle). And I am so grateful & impressed that whether Ren intended to do that or just share his struggle with the world as conquering a hurdle to his peace; that there is Heart enough out there for this "space" to be created, that is literally proving to transcend time & space thanks to the internet - at least the internet is good for Something! Claiming the struggle as our own is when we consciously work at Trying Hard to get ourselves out of the hole and end up only finding more reason to stay down there. And just like ceasing to struggle in the ocean... when we learn to Rest in life, we allow ourselves to rise to the surface, take some fresh air into our lungs & have more likelihood of rescue. And right now, this piece of art has offered a global platform for healing & unity which is what the world's been crying out for, for eons. Not to mention that his style seems to be touching on all genres, even taking us back in time to minstrel days - your next port of call should definitely be, The Tale of Jenny & Screech (Full) - it will blow your mind! much love & prosperity on your personal journey...

The dark side kills it. Just like it will in your head. At the end of day, and the song, the bright side is better. This whole song is an incredible metaphor both musically and lyrically. Truly a masterpiece!

@@andrewcarpenter3148 it is not that unbelievable, I've watched a lot ( and I mean a lot!) of reaction videos and you can tell when someone is genuinely hearing something for the first time or if they have already watched either the video or another person's reaction to it...

Not only did it makes sense , it’s on all levels. This song, in your mind , in other people, the dark side is always louder and more tempting

Ren is such a talent, this was done live and even more amazing it was done in one take, which for me is True art as it comes from the soul. You'll get a lot of requests for the sick boi and the tale of Jenny & Screech. But the song 'do you believe' is stunning and should also get the exposure it deserves! for me it's some of his finest work.

“Hunger” or “Genesis” are a few of his where he rap raps

He as the dark part is more lyrical and "cool" because bad things disguise themselves to lure.. in my mind anyway 🤷🏻‍♀️

Good reaction but can I give you a tip? Try using the space bar and left and right arrows for pause and play and back and forwards 5 seconds, respectively. It's less annoying than the mouse.

Legit my favorite react video. I watch "HI REN" often, and at times I feel like reaction videos validate my emotions, so I prefer them. That being said, a large percentage of these react videos seem to be people who have watched it already and then went on to create illegitimate react videos. It's abundantly obvious that nearly all react videos are not genuine, which is frustrating. Having gone over all of this, I don't care if you legitimately reacted to this video, or you are acting, because I believe you and that makes it real to me. Keep doing you, because you're authentic and interesting.

I find it so interesting that the initial melody feels cheesy then when it’s repeated at the end it feels so strong and empowering. I love this artistic expression.

Just an FYI Ren is currently getting treatment in Canada for his medical issues and has a go fund me account for anyone that can spare some cash but even just spreading his music really helps.

Interesting you a 1990 child like me 😁 goatie tash like me talk like me.... Mite just be the next best me but not quit me 😂 seriously though. This song is magic. Legit magic. Your reafirmation of what people are saying about him is literally why i keep looking at how people react to him. He got the issues and problems we all want to know that others connect with and were not alone in that vein. He seems humbled from what the public eye gets of him and is a honnest open book. This lad could easily dominate if people endorsed him that little bit more and choose to openly accept the prescence of mental health that little bit more 😊

Just a side note about learning guitar...Dirty little secret, it's easy to learn to play guitar to be able to sing along with accompaniment, not difficult to learn to play the guitar competently, somewhat harder to play as well as Ren, and impossible to master. Pick a level, practice for a bit every day, and put it down when it ain't fun. Good luck either way... Oh and a really well done reaction to a beautiful performance that is bringing us all a little closer.
