16:30 nf gets away without cursing and still carrying that emotion because, if you haven't noticed yet, in almost of his tracks he puts that emotion into his voice. He will leave a voice crack in a recording if it adds too it, he'll let it not be perfect if it makes it emotional. Throughout this song, he's practically YELLING the entire time, you can hear the strain in his voice at times and you can feel it in the track. He's great at making you feel everything he wants you to, angst and all

Blew my mind when you connected the name of the song with the line “if God ain’t real, real isn’t”. That is an epic bar breakdown. Never heard anyone else connect those before.

It's really insane how you are getting all those double meanings first time listening. I've listened to this song a lot already (very casually) and did not catch near as much as you did first time. Huge probs man, love the reactions!

Knox is by far the best at breaking down rhymes

Two day ago was the 1st. time I heard NF. Already I've downloaded his album "Therapy." I know every feeling this brother feels, from his mom and pills to the abuse. I got out of my environment and expressed it in other ways (drugs, alcohol, sex, etc.) Saw my way into the light as well, through God. I feel his pain. Through his music he sees a way out. I vented my issues through self loathing and violence. The REAL difference between Nat and me is I'm 62 years old and a Marine. Age is not a deterrent to depression, anxiety and pain... Never give up. (I hope this helps somebody)

This is my suggestion for the next one.

Ive listened to this song a billion and one times and cant believe i didnt catch the high five bar till he just explained it😂 this goes to show why hes one of the best reactors out there! I listen to rap alot and i usually have no issues with catching bars, but somehow such a simple bar has flown over my head a billion times till now😂

I must've heard this song hundreds of times back when it first came out and you out here point out double entendres and wordplays that I COMPLETELY missed. Can't believe as a fan of NF for seven years that I would have completely missed the true extent of NF's writing prowess, that made him very respected in the Christian Rap circles, as well as now inspiring rappers nowadays.

"And what you gonna be when you grow up Nate?" He answers that question in "when I grow up"

I can only imagine where he goes from here. in the search he was struggling with the career after getting to a very high level of fame "this whole business jaded, friends that had now they act different" from my stress. hes discouraged and im hoping he takes the time to not put out pressured timeline music and he just enjoys life to his best with his wife and finds that perfect tracklist to finally release as record number 5. the journey awaits. also Knox you kill it man. I say his album comes out in July 15, because if you look back on the very ending of PAID MY DUES where NF is drawing "LOST" on the peice of paper, it has a date written on it. Now it may sound strange but just look at the word "LOST" upside down and it reveals the numbers 1507... meaning the 07 is the 7th month of this year and the 15 means the 15th of that month, I might be wrong about this but it's getting close to being July and it could be possible. Who knows 🤷🏿‍♂️

It helps me catch things that I didn't catch before, like the fact that Not only did the ending have your meaning but you can also say he's doing the whole song "real" in his dream which isn't "real". Dude, I'm right there with you! I'd really like to know his religious and political standing. Some of his reactions and even lyrics in his own raps have made me wonder.

With the line of "I'm not famous, I'm just Nathan", I think he might have written that line so that whenever he does perform this song he reminds himself to be humble and checks himself not to get trapped in the fame.
