FYI many korean rappers have already said that the use of english in their lyrics is not an artistic choice, but it's because english has many words that end in nice open vowels allowing for easy transitions into the next bar, that and also hiphop is english originally so many words they see used in hip hop songs they reuse because they see how the artist constructed his rhyme scheme and get ideas from it

Alcephalus buselaphus rhyme didn’t exist in korea because rhyming is a western thing. Rhyming korean words is not difficult, I would say its even easier in some ways compared to english. What makes it difficult is the grammar but thats why most rappers flip their sentences. Using english is a choice and isn’t something they’re forced to do to rhyme or rap. There’s plenty of korean rappers who rap without using english and some of those who even keeps proper korean grammar while still managing to make things rhyme. This is also a choice they have made. To say korean rappers are forced to use english is ridiculous. Of course it’s an artistic choice. There’s dozens of reason why one would use english in their verses and the most common one is simply cuz it sounds cool. It sounds doper to say something like make it rain than to say 비내리게해 which would be the word by word translation which wouldn’t even make any sense to a korean listener or 돈을 뿌려 which just sounds like a retard. It’s an artistic choice. In the case of the rapper uneducated kid, he chooses the latter and raps like a retard. People enjoy it cuz its funny and entertaining but in the end it’s an artistic choice. No one is forced to use english in their verses.

It's also that in korean culture a lot of the words they use for basic things are words in English like 커피, 핸드폰, and 벌팬. Because western culture is such a huge influence. That's why it's hard for a native to speak fully native Korean

Guys this aint pure freestyle. The meaning of freestyle has changed through the years now ppl be calling everything a freestyle. This is 100% not a freestyle/improvisation. I dont know if that shit was written beforehand but i know for sure it aint a "pass me the mic I'm gon freestyle to this random beat" type of freestyle. It could've been a freestyle at first maybe but then they probably rearranged their lyrics and flows so that it sounds cleaner and better overall. I've known this song for quite a bit and I think it's really cool but I had no idea people were mistaking this as a real freestyle, it's so obvious to me that this aint freestyle. Btw I'm korean so since I understand everything they're saying maybe it's easier for me to tell that this aint freestyle.

You guys should watch a tv series called "School Rapper" it's a bunch of high schooler competing in rap, one of the task is for them to freestyle in place and the beat changes from time to time so the students couldn't prepare a rap verse before hand, another task is they given 10 random words and they have to freestyle a verse that includes those 10 words immediately after it was given. It's not staged at all, and there are a lot of talented students joined the show every year. There are many clips of it so you might want to show it to her, it'll be fun to see her reaction to a high school student rapping completely freestyle hahah. The rap culture in south korea is getting crazy thick that even students create their own underground hiphop crew (notable crews are DICKIDZ, Kiff Clan) it's not just 1 or 2 students or students from a specific school, many schools have students who loves rap and are in the hiphop underground scene, this was already happening way before too and the insterest from students to participate in the hiphop scene is getting thicker by year. So it's not very surprising to see an experienced adult rapper being able to kill this beat by freestyling.

Flowsik’s was most likely a free style, the rest of them you can see have their phone or something with them so it’s “freestyle” as in unedited, raw content but probably not on the spot, like they wrote some bars, heard the beat and then rapped. This is what happens on a lot of popular rap shows there.
