One thing for sure that I've always admire abt YG is the fact that most of their hit songs were only relying on YG inhouse producers. Imagine if Teddy's, Bekuh Boom, Vince, Future Bounce's (etc) touch weren't involved in those songs, i don't know what would the songs become.

P.S money is becoming more famous than Lalisa, which wasn't even prod by teddy. Lovesick girls was such a good song because it had a freaking chorus. Same goes for stay hope not you never know or bet you wanna, these songs are actually so much better. he uses the same formula again and again and again. Ddu ddu literally makes no sense lyrically other than it being a well produced mv, same goes for ktl and don't even get me started on hylt, the chorus sounds like autotuned farts 😐 say what you want and deny it how much ever, he's getting repetitive af.

Production is always brought by Blackpink (mostly because of their producer Teddy) and this is just one example. Their genre and flow switches are always entertaining and it's one of the reasons I never get tired of their music. If I had to suggest the next one I'd say either Crazy Over You or Whistle. Great rapping in both and the productions in both of them are phenomenal.

Pretty Savage was an instant favourite of mine as well, just like most BLINKS and Lisa herself said it was her fav of the album i believe! Its such a savage song, and the melody is just another level. The girls voices fit this kind of song just so fucking good, they all killed it. It does not have a video but it does have a good live performance that i recommend u see. The James Corden show one was very good, i recommend that one if ur interested!!!

Some context for the raps: Lisa has been body shamed A LOT, to the point where she had to delete ig posts because most of the comments were overwhelmingly negative about her body, hence the "born skinny" line. Her (now ex) manager and trusted friend scammed her of a huge amount of money, taking advantage that she is a foreigner unfamiliar with Korean currency - hence "slow at calculation but quick at noticing things", she might be slow to calculate that the numbers are off, but she is quick to notice a snake disguised as a friend. Jennie's "f boys not my boys" alludes to the several baseless dating rumors the k-media has made up about her. Jisoo's line about "similar clothes" also holds significance since it has been a recurring theme with Blackpink, whether it's other groups copying their outfits and concepts or them getting accused of copying others. For your next Blackpink reaction, I would recommend Whistle, their other debut song with Boombayah (they debuted with two songs) which doesn't follow the Blackpink song formula at all - no crazy beat drop or wild instrumentals, just really cool rap flows. Also Crazy Over You and Love To Hate Me might be good choices since they are fully in English and nothing will be lost in translation and they have cool rap parts. Also there is no MV but there is a dope live performance with a live band at the James Corden Late Late Show, you haven't really reacted to Blackpink until you see a live performance, they go CRAZY on stage. Tokyo Dome and Coachella are other good choices as a stage.
