So I know you caught a couple of them, but the musical references on "Pink Venom" are pretty extensive: The song starts with a crowd chanting "Blackpink" like the crowd chants "Bravehearts"(pretty sure it's what you were thinking of) in the Nas song "Made You Look". Then Jennie hits us with a reference to Biggie's famous line "kick in the door, wavin the 44"(Jennie says Coco). Next Lisa references Rhianna's "Pon de Replay" with "One by one and two by two" and also 50 Cent's P.I.M.P. with "you can't get a dollar outta me". Rosé and Jisoo both reference Taylor Swift with "look what you made us do" also "I bring the pain like" is a reference to Method Man's "Bring the Pain". Finally, the Jennie/Lisa rap verse is backed by a sample of Ice Cube/Eazy-E's part of "Gangsta Gangsta" by N.W.A(could also be "Dope Man" pretty much the same sample). All the hip hop references aren't a coincidence as they happened to release this track during the 49th anniversary of hip hop. Teddy(their producer) and the girls definitely weren't shy about shouting out their inspirations/favorite artists in this song.

They are definitely paying homage to the great talents that inspired them and their producer Teddy. Notorious B.I.G( " Kick in the door", ) you got Rhiannon, and 50, missed Taylor Swift( Look what you made us do" ref) Missed Methodman & Redman (" Bring the pain"), but this made a great deal of us smile, and it never once crossed our minds that it was anything less then paying respect. Very happy to see you back Gabi! For your question about BTS and BlackPink in my opinion it's not really a simple question to answer. I love then both, for me, right now BlackPink is far the most popular and BTS hiatus helps that, but in terms of history and trophies and have a lot more songs BTS still on the lead, we can't forget that BTS helped all the groups that came out after to get visibility out of South Korea. BTS is the King's and BlackPink are the queen's o K-pop and that's all that matters! Have a great day my friend!!!

I really dislike when people say they copied, or appropriated, or even claim cultural appropriation over this song,, makes me mad. First, this is hip hop, who has been sampling since the beginning. Second, this was released during the anniversary of hip hop. It's clearly a respectful homage to those before them.

They are paying homage to their favourite top performers in this song. No credits necessary. We all know the songs that those references are for.

There are three intentional references to old school hip hop (Biggie Smalls in the first verse, Rihanna and 50 Cent in the second), that's it. In the case where they used an interpolation of Rihanna's "Pon de Replay" the original creator is compensated. You'll always find haters trying to bring BLACKPINK down, it's lonely at the top. By the way Rihanna and BLACKPINK are both signed under UMG, so I think she's aware.
