Wet packed hay as well as manure can easily reach 300°F on the inside half of the pile or whatever it is. So any dry flammable materials such as dry hay can catch fire quite easily when introduced to such an environment. The only solution to this is salt, salt, and tons more salt. On my dad's farm we do have small bailers but sometimes we get stuck in situations where drying the hay enuf to bail or just to put in the barn safely is not an option so when that happens once the hay is in the barn my dad put lots of extra hay salt on the hay to suck all that heat and moisture out. Normally he will put a light sprinkle on the hay regardless but in some cases I've seen him douse it so much that the top of the hay was half white from so much salt.

@@trevorslater2746 ya, each row gets salt. Whether u finish the row or not u put it down on top after each row is finished or r done putting hay down. If it's damp maybe twice, and if it's still very wet I suggest damn near dousing it, maybe 1 handful per 20'² or more. And I'm assuming ur bales r about a foot tall like my dad's r. Pretty sure it’s self propelled
in 20 years there will be a black and white video of the family using this machine and then a color of a drone controlled one, from the farm house
That's why you shouldn't wait so long to mow your lawn
Tragic really.... all those rakers now laid off... back at the house... sitting around on their phones getting fat, ugly, brain dead and going broke ordering junk from amazombie!!!! : )
why am i watching this, i need a job
Or fence it and add about a dozen goats.
How about tractors 🚜
Where will the children get money for beer and cigarettes now?
2:13 that is not happy face... black and white part had happy faces
That's a way to degrade your hillside
European moment
Now what?
Like to have the money this machine costs.
So know you have a huge pile of grass, now what?
