Rapid City has a lot of railway history. Today, the railroad known as the Rapid City, Pierre, and Eastern rolls through there and currently takes freight trains from there to various places in the state as well as a couple of states like Minnesota, Wyoming, and Nebraska. The Rapid City, Pierre, and Eastern was created in 2014 as one of many branches owned by the Genesse and Wyoming Inc. and bought the Dakota, Minnesota, and Eastern from the Canadian Pacific. Shots include mostly in Rapid City as well as Blackhawk and Whitewood.
