Priceless Kaye it’s not that. He’s been nominated for a Grammy 5x and never won. He’s been nominated for 18 awards (different kinds) and only won 4. That’s very underrated. He’s up there with babyface TO ME! But he’s not recognized for it.

@MGNIS not only millennials are a part of this generation in the true sense of the definition. And Raphael has never received the recognition that he deserves for his genius, so that is why some may say he is underrated.

Yeah it'll always be a Frankie Beverly and Maze classic and there are always going to be some people who love the original more but let's not ignore that she has brought attention to the song by a younger audience. I for one love both versions but I can understand someone who prefers the original to the new version. At least she didn't murder it the way Taylor Swift did with Earth, Wind, and Fire's Septemer. D Dubb Ain’t that the truth. Including white folks. I work with several and they are mirror images when they get to venting about a family member. Crack, heroine, crystal meth, alcohol & prescription drugs are wrecking lives and families, and drugs sure don’t discriminate. It’s tragic with some funny and ingenious moments on behalf of the addict. Sometimes you literally don’t know if to laugh or cry at times. May God help us all with family members on drugs.

The amount of personal heartbreak Raphael has been through is unbelievable. I don't think I would be so strong. He is truly blessed.
Raphael is a legendary artist yet so underrated. All of his projects have fire songs on them. Love him!
Without him there's no telling how the 90's would be ... True OG in the game 💪

LEGENDARY ARTIST. to go through that much pain and loss and still be this laid back and down to earth speaks volumes about him as a person.
Now I understand how Tony, Toni, Tone was so musically good. They were musicians who auditioned and played behind Prince. You have no choice but to become really good if you work with Prince.
This interview made me smile! #80baby 90's raised me.

He's ageless! Like Pharell! Luv him much! PLUS what I Love the most about him is it's obvious that he paid attention to the greats before him! He respects the classic artists who have paved the way! AND he's sweet and humble! Good guy!

I’ve been playing “Ask of You” for 3 days straight now. Just thought to myself, where the heck is Raphael Saadiq? Searched & found this interview, which I can’t believe I missed because I listen to the Breakfast Club almost everyday. I’m so happy I found it to because Raphael Saadiq has always been such a very private person. So thank you so much Breakfast Club for this interview. I love him. Thank you Raphael for being so transparent about you and your families struggles and death❤️. He’s faced so much death so close to home and yet he’s always gave us so much LOVE thru his music. What a soulful man. So handsome, SOOOO FINE, TOO SMOOTH too😘 Much love and respect Raphael❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ Going online to purchase the album too right now.

He has not aged....still looks and sounds so young. His voice is one of those that I hear and instantly feel nostalgic and just good!!!
About a year ago I saw Raphael Saadiq with Jasmine Sullivan and Maxwell at the Concord Pavilion in Cali....he killed it...the best performance of the night for sure! He was amazing...would see him again in a heartbeat 💗
