Hip hop is the culture, rapping is one of the elements
WHERE EVER THOSE HERO'S CAME FROM... THERE'S MORE FROM THOSE COUNTRIES, CITY'S OR WHATEVER. AND IT'S SIMPLE, HIP HOP AND RAP ARE PRETTY MUCH THE SAME, SOME OF IT SUCKS, SOME OF IT ROCKS! BUT IT SEEMS THIS CONVERSATION IS HELD EVERY TWO DAYS TO DEBATE THE TWO. I MYSELF, AM A PURIST, I'M DOWN FOR THE ART, THAT MEANS THE WAX, LYRICS AND ALL OF THAT SHIT! I'M 53, SO I'VE SEEN HIP HOP GROW INTO THE BEAST IT IS! THERE'S GOOD MUSIC, AND THEN THERE'S THAT OTHER SHIT....U AS THE CONSUMER MAKE THE CHOICE, U LIKE WHAT U LIKE.
Not understanding what “real hip hop” is means you have been casually indulging in rap. It’s a sign you haven’t grown up in the culture. Or have been too far removed from it. Either by distance or because money has influenced you to forget
