Border View Farms is a mid sized family farm that sits on the Ohio-Michigan border. We raise corn, soybeans, and wheat on a little over 3,000 acres.
My name is Nathan. I run this channel and farm with my dad, Mark and uncle, Phil. I started making these videos in the fall of 2019 as a way to help show what I do on a daily basis as a farmer. I get questions about how and why we do things on the farm frequently, even from my own family members, so to help explain things it's easier to just show you. I hope that I can address questions or concerns that you might have about farms and agriculture in general as well as dispel some of the common misconceptions.
I hope you enjoy my content and please ask questions as you have them. I do my best to answer anything I can.
I appreciate you subscribing to my channel and liking my videos.
You can reach me through messages on Facebook or Instagram @borderviewfarms or by email bakernth@gmail.com. Please don't call my parents house!

They should put up a utube channel too. Publicity. Your footage could be first for them. I’ve seen drone sprayer on some Japanese channels that appear in utube list after watching farming videos. Had thought about you using. Does work for small areas. Y’all need to tile that little pond by big pond! Ghee. That place pretty bad. Enjoyed. Glad y’all getting rain. Many others wish they were.

It was awesome seeing the spray drone actually spray. There is a seed rep in my area that has the spray drones and I've flown his, but flying it around like a normal drone. The goal is to eventually be able to fly 4 drones on 1 remote and operator. It's not legal to do it that way yet.

@@BorderViewFarms very interesting. I woke for Deere dealer in south Australia as a product specialist & Love watching your videos. I see a lot happening here in the automation space and the costs don’t add up. Swarm bots are picking up pace here for spraying but cost $70000 a year to rent not keep and only 40ft boom. I don’t see that making any financial sense when a new large machine payments are less than that and much more useable throughout whole year and different applications. Very exciting space to be in!

Per Rantizo base unit is $14,500. They state in their FAQ that they are developing row crop systems. Currently designed for specialty crops, berries, grapes. smaller acreage. Their swarm tech is pretty cool. Thought one of the boys was going for a ride when Jay asked him how much he weighed. You could see the wheels turning in those little heads. I'll get the boys names down some day, old brain.

You can’t just go out and fly one you have to get a FAA license for spray and and they don’t just hand them out! Then you have to get your part 107 license also! It’s really good technology and a huge benefit to farmers with no crop damage and getting the crop sprayed when needed when too muddy
