This was some pretty big anti-Braves bias as a Mets fan from Marc. He hates on Ozzie Albies a lot, but I can see why. Max Fried just finished the season with an ERA below 2.48 and finished top 2 in NL Cy Young voting. Marc doesn't even count him as a top 20 pitcher? He was top 2 in the entire National League! Kyle Wright leads all of MLB in wins but doesn't even count as a top 30 pitcher? I'm sorry but a top 2 Cy Young finish and an MLB wins leader should never end up being counted as zero top 20 pitchers. I can see a world where someone might think Wright may never be able to replicate those wins, but he still should have been in the top 30 somewhere. I can't even slightly understand how Max Fried, as the 2nd best pitcher in the National League period somehow doesn't even crack the top 20. Both of those pitchers could have easily made the top 10 and no one would have a right to complain. Fried should have made the top 5 for sure. The fact that neither of them cracked this Mets fan's list of even the top 20 is total nonsense. Marc... I can get the hate on Albies. He was injured and didn't play much at all last season. Dumping on the MLB wins leader and one of the top 2 NL Cy Young finishers by claiming neither of them even belong in the top 20 is clearly either bias against the Braves after they have won your team's division every single year for the past half decade or favoritism towards other pitchers who are clearly just not as good as them. How do you finish top 2 in Cy Young if you aren't even a top 20 pitcher? How do you lead MLB in wins if you aren't even a top 30 pitcher? You don't. It's that simple. Both Max Fried and Kyle Wright have the stats to back up they are top 10 pitchers. The fact that you consider neither of them even top 20 pitchers shows clear and present Mets fan anti-Braves bias along with your bashing of Ozzie Albies. If those guys are as low as you rank them, how do they keep beating the Mets to win the division year in and year out?

Shane McClanahan should be top 10. He is way too low. He was able to be the best pitcher in the AL for half the season, only falling off due to a shoulder impingement, and some extremely statically unlucky games (the average velocity of the hits he gave up in his Guardians blowup start was 78mph). He has a similar strikeout rate to Dylan Cease, yet half the walk rate. He has a better groundball rate than guys like Verlander who are stars, and has had way better peripherals than Alek Manoah, who all projections show regressing next year. McClanahan has 4 plus pitches, something most pitchers could only dream of. The only guys I would for sure take over him right now are deGrom, Sandy, Burnes, Verlander, Ohtani, Scherzer and maybeee Cole, although his stats have been better than Cole since being called up.

Manoah at 28 for K rate might be the most asinine thing I’ve heard
Someting that’s import to note is that with the shift being outlawed next season, pitchers who pitch to contact will suffer more than those who have high K rates. Therefore I think pitchers who strike out a ton (like cease for example) should have been higher on the list. But overall, list is pretty valid.

Cease also led the league in walks last year. I think the walk numbers hold him back a little. He also really just broke out in 2022. So he's had 1 elite season in his career so far. If he produces a similar season in 2023 and lowers his walk rate without much change in hit and k rate, I could see him being top 10 for sure.
Robbie Ray last year's cy young not on this list. I agree as well. Hopefully this makes him underrated in fantasy next year, I'll take those innings and SOs later in the draft for sures

I know it doesn’t mean much in terms of rankings, but Max Fried had an arguably better year that Corbin Burnes last year even pitching in Atlanta vs Milwaukee.
Keep Fried out of the top 20 because of a K rate? What about Cy Young finish? That’s a joke.

Super mets biased in my opinion. Love degrom but at this point his health has to drop him. Very much contradicting yourself by downing pitchers for “lack of innings” or “health” when degrom hasn’t pitched past 100IP since 2019. Fried and Julio should be higher. I praise consistency rather then upside
Just tryna figure out some pitchers to bet on besides ohtani 🤣🤣 this video definitely helped 10 outta ten recommend
28 was overly cautious for manoah but I feel like a lot of 15-30 could be diff places, and all of these pitchers are/should be elite. i feel like all of these pitchers have CY level talent and it’s hard in videos like this when ppl have to be higher than the other when more realistically so many of these pitchers have such similar levels of effectiveness
