Could you expand the list to top 20 or 25 banks/groups?

Just curious where you would rank firms like Stifel and Raymond James in relation to the bulge bracket? Would you view them as Tier 2, Tier 3 etc.

Hi, thank you for your point of view ! I think you should precise the geography of your rankings. Your rankings are, I think, relevant for the American Street but not in Europe, where the rankings would be different ! (not talking about Asia !)

The list is great overall. One quick note, though - Moelis' LA team isn't media; it's still generalist. They aren't getting rid of the generalist program in LA because of the very varied dealflow across different products and industries (although there is a lot of media coverage). Not sure about the other offices though.

Would it be possible for you to do this for the S&T divisions of the top investment banks? I would be very interested!

09:15 - I totally get the whole brand name thing as a marketing tool. Does it have a lot of weight from an SEO point of view, vs against your MBA Wharton titles? I'm always curious if having ex-JP Morgan in your titles is a good thing, or a negative thing 😃

guys don't fall for this. He went to a target (UC Berkley), so if you go to a non-target you can have the best cover letter and cv template, but you won't get in (also depends on your internships of course). You can also get very nice templates provided freely from Top Universities (UPenn as well...)

I think anyone no matter the school you go to if you work hard you can get anywhere. Of course at a non-target you will have to work much harder than someone at a target, but I’ve seen it happen plenty of times.

not trying to trick anyone like ur comment "don't fall for this" implies. i never say that buying my resume will get you into banking. but there is a lot of benefit in seeing a good resume and learning from it. i've reviewed hundreds of resumes when i led recruiting at JPM and having a good resume makes a big difference and the value comes less from the structure / template vs. looking at how i structure my bullets + what a banking / finance resume looks like. also, plenty of non-targets get into banking though i do agree the road is harder and networking is way more important (which actually is why you will need the best resume possible) anyway, for those who want a free resource, i also have a resume tips video on my channel if you search "resume" on my channel it'll show up

Just wanted to revisit this comment to say I just got an offer from Evercore Tech M&A from a non-target. If you work hard enough, anyone can do it!

Great video. Don’t think Evercore is generalists anymore tho but there is a generalist group

they have a generalist program for the first year based on what my friend told me and after that you specialize and join a group. this may only be for mba though as he's joining as an mba summer associate but could also be true for analysts

Way over-indexing on bulges. Go work at CVP, EVR, PJT and make 20-40% more while working 10-20% less.

No. Deutsche Bank is in top 5. You should do global rankings as DB beats many of those and DB is based in New York
