@@hoselui Because man united and arsenal were concentrating on domestic tournements. Sevilla are used to winning the europa league simple because they’ve done it before. Don’t forget that sevilla almost faced relegation this season.

For me Championship is the best in the world in terms of entertainment. There isn’t a top 6 or a favourite, it’s every team for themselves and the playoffs are very exiting too

Eurobiased.... Eredivise and the Portugal League is far behind Brasileirão, argentine first division and Liga MX. Possibly even MLS. Eredivise and the portuguese league would be comparable to the brazilian premier state leagues like the Paulistão or the Campeonato Carioca.

This eurobiased view is deeply connected to two things: the idea that every good football player in the world plays in Europe (which is not true) and the idea that there is no money in football outside Europe (which isn't true either). In 2021 the top 20 brazilians clubs got 1.2 billion euros in revenues which is the Eredivise and Portuguese league clubs combined! Another point: the brazilian championship have more players with calls to their national teams than the Eredivise, for example. And when I say "national teams" I'm talking about top national teams (3 participations in the last 5 World Cups).

Craazy to see Austrian Bundesliga in the top 10. Literally no one would have thought that 10 years ago, i think we weren't even in the top 15 in europe. And it's getting even better with LASK and especially Sturm Graz getting much stronger and closer to Salzburg. Very excited for the nex season! Another cool thing that developed in Austria in the last years is that we have much more, and really cool Derbys in the League. Wiener Derby, now Linzer Derby, Ländle Derby, Kärntnter Derby and hopefully soon again Grazer Derby!!

for me , these last 2 years , italia serie A has been way more entertaining to watch ......

I think the problem with liga mx is that practically no one watches it outside of Mexico. There is quality and good infrastructure but (I don’t really know much about this topic) the global repercussion simply isn’t there and that’s why it’s never mentioned neither here in these types of channels nor in social media like 433 or onefootball. Still I think it absolutely belongs in the top 10

Its not a problem at all. The world doesn't have to revolve around a league to be considered a top league. Being huge in your own country is enough. The thing is most worldwide fans only really care EPL or La Liga. Giving all the attention to RM, Barca, Man U, Arsenal, etc. The best of the best. Good lucking even trying to find someone that cares about some midtable club.

decent list till you got to the 10th. honestly cant think of who i'd pick for 10th, i dont think any asian, african or north american leagues should have the spot so maybe it's uruguay? Austria is a 1 team league and boring as shit, to chose them as 10th best league in the world purely because of Salzburg is ridiculous, russia has fallen dramatically in the last several years. 8th best league in europe is scotland. if the blue half of glasgow hadnt run themselves into financial ruin and left Celtic as the sole flag bearer in europe for a decade then this wouldnt even be a debate. Now that we're both back in europe at the same time though we've flew up the coefficinet table to 10th spot.

wow dude, the French league has one good team and their world class? Don't think so. Also this list should have included metrics as to who has the most # of fans who watch. Include that and suddenly a lot more non-Europeans would rank higher. Its how much money is spent that determines this list. No fancy metrics needed.

sorry to burst your bubble but your league system will always hold you back from being popular anywhere outside of the united states/north america, but thats probably all you need i suppose. either way as long as your supporter shield winner is not the actual champion of the country and there is no promotion or relegation between leagues then no one outside of usa/north america will ever take it seriously. what's the point of a league where the one at the top isnt the champion at the end of the season and the teams at the bottom are always safe, it defeats the entire purpose of a league system. america might be fine with that and based on the nfl that is all you need but it'll never be respected worldwide. either way i do hope the mls eventually eclipses the nhl and nba at least, funny thing is all three of them are way better than baseball and rugby with padding lol and yet those are the top 2 in america.

The MLS’ next team will be in San Diego and they had to pay $500,000,000 the league is very money heavy so they will probably never have promotion and relegation. The playoffs won’t go away either, it’s such a core piece of American sports. The upsets the big games the excitement. I think the only way the playoffs go is if the CONCACAF Champions league becomes more prominent. Me personally if I was the commissioner of the MLS I would shrink the league to 20 including pro/rel with the USL. I would get rid of conferences and assuming the CONCACAF champions league grows I’d remove the playoffs. If soccer continued to grow like it is here I think fans could get behind fighting to stay alive and battling teams from Mexico, Honduras, Guatemala and the like to be the best on the continent. I also think maybe the Canadian teams should join with the Canadian premier league to make it fully domestic but that will never happen

MLS makes more money than half of these teams and feeds into the Premier League. They also tend to get the old Premier League players willing to take a check. They are the easily the best soccer league on this side of the Atlantic.

My top 10 in 2023 10 Austrian Bundesliga (just based on recent Salzburg form) 9 Brasileirão (there's a big gap quality wise between 9th and 8th) 8 Championship (underrated imo) 7 Eredivisie (they got 6th place thanks to UEFA points distribution🤦🏻‍♂️) 6 Liga Portugal 5 Ligue 1 (they can perfectly be at 6th place or even 7th) 4 Serie A (they had a good year, that's it) 3 Bundesliga (2nd football quality wise) 2 La Liga (history helps a bit) 1 Premier League Turkish league is out because I think they dropped a lot because they came from a retirement league to a wasted talents league which leads to flops. MLS is still nowhere near, despite americans coming with those overreactions... Saudi on the other hand maybe will be part of top 10 in the future, but so far is weak. Argentina just really became shit tbf. Watching south american football has been painful and they're doing so bad that brazilian teams look decent (and they aren't that good, they could be outside the top 10 and it wouldn't be a scandal)

@@snowmansportsmedia LoL Yes they do expect us to call it soccer, I remember being there and everyone expecting me to wearing a helmet when they said we were going on a BBQ and then play some football and me expecting a round ball.

I am from Mexico but unfortunately we will not be able to participate in the next edition because Seatle Sounders won the Concachampions to Pumas, but well, although it is a disappointment and a shame, the truth is that Seatle was the best team both collectively, and in results of the entire tournament, so nothing to claim, they won deservedly.
