I think people forget how poor performances were under Jose at the end and how disconnected the fans became, it was the exact same feeling that existed under Ole at the end. ETH for me has reconnected fans with the team, something as valuable as that trophy he won last year

Ragnick would be top of my list if he was hired as a DOF. Man was a genius. He built the Red Bull brand from ground up he was talking about signing Haland, Alvaro Fernandez, Moise Ceisido before anyone even knew them. He wanted to sign Govardiol who just went to City as well. Ragnick was done dirty by Glazers. Special one is the special one but he is wrong fit for Man United. No focus on youth negative football was never the style of Manchester United. Fans only tolerated him because he can get you trophies. People either loved him or they tolerated him and turned on him as soon as things got toxic. Ten Hag is the perfect appointment since SAF. Everything about him makes sense. Now we don’t know yet if he can be the top level manager long term and bring home big trophies if so he will be proven the best appointment but until then its just a hopeful thought. Dismissing LVG saying too much tactics and putting Ole over LVG was utterly ridiculous and disrespectful. LVG was boring and unsuccessful but LVG was a million times better than Ole.

@@bigbleeg Oh most certainly, it was diabolical to watch. But as a coach LVG was definitely better than Ole. LVG managed Ajax and Barca before us. Gazza even said as a coach he was the best he ever had.

I feel for Ragnick because if we followed his advice we would have been in a much better position now. He never had the backing of the board at all. For me Solskjaer has been the worst of them all, not in terms of results but the state of the team when he left.

The problem with ogs was that he developed a good counter attacking team. Which worked for a year but when teams knew how to play against us he looked clueless and in way over his head

By the end of Mourinho it was worse than it began, no growth and a group of aging and egotistic players that needed shipping out. When Mourinho failed with Man U, that for me was the absolute clarifier that the problem was not the managers, the problem was the club and more specifically the owners refusing to give the managers the financial freedom to do what they really wanted to do

Jose 2nd position is the best result he ever had in a league with THAT United squad, not easy.

Mourinho and EtH are round the wrong way. Jose was the one who dragged the mood down at United. He won 2 cups in 2 years. EtH has won the same amount (2 cups) but in 1 year and has transformed the club lifting the mood that never really recovered since Jose brought it down.

Loved this. Do more with the ESPN crew. More teams too.

Two months later it's arguable that Ole has been the best since Fergie retired, even though he didn't win anything, Man United played the best football under him. Certain players such as Lindelof, De Gea, Pogba, Maguire and McTominay failed Ole on important occasions and the media got him sacked by underrating him.

Ole wasn't a bad manager in my opinion. He finished 2nd, took us to a Euro final and managed to get the better of Guardiola in the Manchester derbies.

JOSE'S BOTH SEASONS ARE VERY UNDERRATED... WITH THE SQUAD HE HAD..... NO CB LIKE VARANE, MARTINEZ , NO RB, NO CM, ICONIC STRIKERS . YOUNGER RASHFORD N YOUNGER MARTIAL.

Correct ranking is: 1- ETH 2 - Ole 3 - Jose 4 - Moyes 5 - LVG 6 - Rangnick On a little side note id put Carrick in between Ole and Jose and Giggs between Jose and Moyes

Ragnick wasn't brought in as a short term fix but to help steer the club back in the right direction. Look at some of the players that he suggested: Enzo Fernandez, Gvardiol, Nkunku and Julian Alvarez. These players could probably walk into the first team right now and were very affordable at the time.

Rangnick wasn't given a leg to stand on when he was the interim manager, never backed in the January, and pretty much lost Martial, Donny (both out on loan) Greenwood (suspended) and Cavani (preferred the treatment table over the pitch) all at the same and barely had a team at the end of the season. Then got sacked for telling the truth and exposing the players. LVG also should have moved upstairs and been Sporting/Technical Director instead of being booted straight after winning the FA Cup.

Putting Ole above Van Gaal is just stupid. Didn't like LVG but he won the FA Cup. I think Rangnick came into that club at the most difficult moment post Sir Alex, with a dressing room full of snidey losers and prima donnas. Spoke so much truth about the way the club needed to change and the board didn't like to hear the truth. Got thrown under the bus by the squad and the club. Not saying he's the best by any means but he was setup to fail from the start when he should have been made Director of Football at the club. Instead of the the amateur clowns in Arnold and Murtough running the show

David Moyes got a raw deal.

When Fergie left, Moyes was a fair successor, but wasn't strong enough to impose his will. Player power took over. He lost the change room and every manager failed to win it back. Ten Hag is starting to impose his will and slowly removing the cancer.

Ole, the manager with the longest tint, won nothing, spent the most and most have been awful signings and never spoke up against the rats when the time was right.

Moyes wasn’t given anywhere near enough time
