I rank part 3 low. For one it adds nothing new to the table except the hockey mask. It basically copied older characters. It had some horrible effects (the head crushing scene). God awful acting ( oh my god, oh my god, shellys dead) and the 3D Doesn’t ADD shit. Not to mention it completely copied the ending of the first film.

My list: 12: Jason Takes Manhattan. Sorry Nic, but I can't get behind an almost bloodless entry that also fails to adequately deliver on its title. 11: Remake. Derek Mears was a terrifying Jason, and the opening was extremely badass, but after the title card, the film almost feels like a See No Evil remake, not a Friday the 13th. 10: Jason Goes to Hell. The practical effects work, Steven Williams completely over-the-top performance, and the Freddy's cameo elevate a terrible story, but not too far. 9: Jason X. Extremely fun movie, but I agree with you. Its stupid. 8: New Blood. Would be oh so much higher if the ratings board didn't wipe butcher the film. Ending was an extreme let down. 7: Original. Hate to put it this low, but I find my attention wavers quite a bit until the 3rd act. 6: Part 3. Would be a lot lower if it wasn't in 3D. 5: FvsJ. Extremely annoying characters and the wrong director aside, had some extremely cool kills, and the fight scenes between Freddy and Jason were awesome. 4: Part 5. I always saw this one as more of a remake than a sequel, and I agree. Roy was a badass. 3: Part 4. Almost pure perfection as to what a Friday the 13th should be. 2: Part 2. Having the series absolute best final girl, along with some extremely legitimate scares makes Part 2 almost the top of the list. 1: Part 6. This was the one that got me into the entire series, along with heavy metal music. Extremely well acted, well written, and the best kills in my opinion.

imho I feel that Part 3 suffers from the 3D rather than benefiting it. It's never used properly and it's mostly used just to show that 3D exists and... that's it. Also, we need a Friday the 13th spin-off movie with Roy. Like, seriously. People underestimate him.

Yeah I don’t think any human can break that type of door but that why I think it’s a one hit on the door in the Friday 5he 13th the game

Any person who has a problem with the look of Jason in part 6 obviously don't take into account that Jason's body was decaying over time in between parts 4 and 6, as his body was very damaged and frail. His ability to regenerate was at full strength, but you kind of get it in part 7 with Kane Hodder's portrayal. But CJ Graham's portrayal was the power behind part 6!

Tommy trilogy will always be my top 3. The only time the series really followed a character through several episodes instead of Jason.

For me, it's; 1. Part 4 2. Part 6 3. Freddy vs. Jason The fourth, because it is genuinely the best in the series in almost every way, the sixth, because it was really creative, and was a riot, and FvJ only because it's a guilty pleasure. Not a good movie, but too much fun.

13: Never Hike Alone: it's canon to me 😎 Ghost Jason and Tommy returns...just yes. Only in last b/c it's really just an honorable mention worthy of the number 13 in some way. Give it a watch. 12. Part 9: Comedic trash, but awesome looking Jason. His face is swallowing the mask I swear. Duke was misused too. 11. Part 8: Hodder is the only redeeming factor. 10. Part 5: Not a bad movie at all. Pointless since they brought Jason back. All over a chocolate bar. 9. Part 1: 3rd act is all that matters and it cheats b/c we never had the chance to suspect Pamela anyway. The ending with Kid Jason was ruined by them going to the hospital after too. 8. FvJ: this is how you do a crossover. As advertised, the two beat the SHIT out of each other and everyone else as a bonus. Some glaring issues I'll look past b/c it was epic. Needed Kane Hodder tho. 7. Part 2: lotta love for bag head Jason. Not enough tho. Packanack is a setting I aspire to visit still. Jason gets revenge for his mom and unfortunately kills Ralph too. Where's Paul tho..? 6. Part 3: the mask and a somehow big ass Jason that comes at us in 3D. It's cool. The axe mark and all the eye balls that take a beating in this movie make it worth it. Higgins Haven was a good setting. 5. Jason X: that's right. Suck it. Constantly shat on b/c "Jason being in space is dumb". Bullshit buddy. These movies have never been grounded 😂. Its hilarious, fun, and another evolution for Jason. Best kill in the whole franchise too with the frozen face smash. The android was badass. Corrected the sleeping bag kill that was ruined by the MPAA for Part 7. Spawned the comics that birthed Jason vs Jason X. Only issue I have is that it was cringe with the dialogue and never got a sequel to continue in the future on film. Underrated gem. 4. Remake: was supposed to be shit and proved everyone wrong. An absolute BEAST of a Jason that was actually smarter and the movie homages Parts 1-3 well enough. The opening is spectacular and Jason fucking runs...like sprints...yeah. He ran in 2 and 3 too, but he sprinted here. The end could've been better but it was good enough. Should've gotten a sequel. Embarrasses the Nightmare remake to shame too. 3. Part 6: the format for a meta horror movie way before it was cool. Jason gets superpowers and THIS is the definitive Tommy Jarvis. Finally kids at a camp too. Great music and production all around. Perfect way to resurrect a character and franchise. C.J. Graham too. Nailed it. 2. Part 7: criminally disrespected and underrated. Using the MPAA as an excuse to down it won't fly. Best looking Jason (continuity included too) and he's at his deadliest since Part 4, now with the superpowers he got in Part 6 and a superpowered opponent too; Kane Hodder with a monster debut. The end is the only downer. 1. Part 4: THIS is how you do a slasher movie. A perfect ending too. Everything from Jason, to the characters, to the setting and back is perfect. Ted White all day.

Dr ViperSP man...the hillbilly family subplot, the random victims (broken down car and the waitress and sleezebag), the convoluted imitator story....so bad. Part 5 had such an interesting premise: a Jason survivor with PTSD who is tormented and has spent his life coming to terms, preparing for Jason’s return, and even sort of relating to him and possibly becoming him. So good. The best parts of part 5 are great, it “feels” like a Ft13th movie, but the bad elements are so bad that they overwhelm the good for me. I love part 4 and 6 though.

I'd put 2 and 4 above part 6. I think the love for part 6 is that comedy is more enduring than scares. I think one is more likely to laugh at something again, even if you know that "punch line". However, being scared after knowing what's coming is a little less likely..? I wonder how someone would rank these films if they just watched each one for the very first time? I think part 1 would certainly rank higher. (The end jump scare is one of the rare exceptions that got me repeatedly, even though I knew it was coming). I certainly respect the list given here, and the reasons why. Nicely done fellows. :)

@@liamb1038 not at all, the Police Station/Diner Chsse scene from Jason Goes to Hell shits on the entire Friday the 13th 2009, that's the the most shallow film in the series it has absolutely ZERO soul

While I do appreciate that both men had Jason Lives at #1 which I agree with, I much more prefer the list of the gentleman on the right...

I probably have one of the most "basic" rankings of the franchise ever, haha. My best to worst (or favorite to least favorite, whatever). My top three are pretty much equal. 4 2 6 1 3 7 2009 X JGTH 5 FvsJ 8 But really, I love pretty much all of them. Part 2 was the first Horror film I ever watched, i grew up with the franchise just as my mom did (though she was lucky enough to see some of the first 8 in theaters during their first runs - LUCKY!). I never skip a single entry when going through the franchise.

6 and 4 are my favorites but when I think of jason, the first image that pops in my head is part 3 jason. For whatever reason that's the Jason in my head automatically. Great video 🤘🔪

My top 3 favorites to watch (in no particular order) are: *Jason 7 because psychic powers and the best looking Jason both with & without the mask. *Jason 8 because there is no strong hero to stop his rampage & even the one guy that was able to hold off Jason wasn't able to stop him as he tired out & had his head knocked clean off with one, single punch. *Jason Goes to Hell because when you finally do get Jason back at the end of the movie it's just a huge "It's about god damn time!" moment (as the old saying goes, "sometimes less is more.") For spots 4 & 5 (again in no particular order) are: *Jason X because Uber Jason and KM; I'm a fan of androids (KM) & cyborgs (Uber Jason.) *Jason 6 because we get Tommy Jarvis in his best form and it's the first time we get Zombie/Deadite/Frankenstein/Juggernaut (whatever term you want to go with after his resurrection) Jason; my personal favorite is juggernaut considering he's nearly impossible to stop. Yeah, I know. My top 5 list is heavily the Kane Hodder portrayals but I just absolutely love his mannerisms as Jason. The head turn followed by the rest of his body following suit is just awesome.

Could you ranks Jason's weapons in the games? Axe should definitely be last. And the pig splitter first. But that's my opinion.

@@dannyrodriguez586 maybe but I hate when 2 weapon kills from the same weapon have the same name. Like 2 of the axe kills are both called chopped. And I'm the type of player who wants to every player in a different way so I can't use all 3 of the kills. Anyway, which is your favourite?

The Final Chapter Edit: One of the main reasons I love takes Manhattan is because of the way Jason looks, unpopular opinion but he looks so badass and the way his clothes are all worn out and have a black tone gives it a more gritty look. And this Jason has a mask where we can't see his eyes which can creep some people out 😄

Friday the 13th Part 3...great Jason, less great supporting cast. 6. Friday the 13th...Good mystery aspect. 5. Friday the 13th Part 5 4. Friday the 13th Part 7 3. Friday the 13th Part 6 2. @@keigoxsalvatore7426 I LOVE IT! It is definitely the best in terms of the final girl chase scene and the fighting that Chris did. I disagree with their final girl argument as well. Chris is definitely the best one.

A New Beginning I rend to like the Kane Hodder and New Line movies more than most.

My ranking would be like OG > Final Chapter > P2 > Jason Lives > 2009 > P3 > Jason Goes to Hell > A New Begining > Jason Takes Mannhattan > FVJ >= Jason X > New Blood New Blood is a divisive pick as I've seen but I just dont get a kick out of it, it's the most appearently formulaic and the entire cast of characters (almost) sucks ass. Great Jason tho Jason X and FVJ are equally frustrating to me so I put them in the same tier, the former being fun but never fully committing to a truly self-aware approach, while having very weak package as a film to be saved by it, while FVJ might be the most distasteful handling of the lore of the franchise (even for Freddy but other point), but it's definitely a well made and put together flick so ehh indifferent towards those Takes Mannhattan is insane and i just cant lie that I enjoy most of it, it has several horrible aspects but it also has some unironically nice touches, and the thing that ultimately makes it more barable than the once before is that it kinda winks at the audience about how ridiclious it is Part 5 and Part 9 are truly in a tier of their own because altho technically it might be downright worst filmmaking of the series (P5) or a total trashing on the essence of the original intend (P9) theyre both so out there that they hit a spot the creators themselves probably didnt intend to hit, as A New Begining is truly a masterclass in so bad it's good and Goes to Hell is just absolutely wild and never gives up on itself till the very end so yea I dig these Basically I overview the franchise as two havles as 'the bad ones' ^ altho i semi like to love like half of the ones I already mentioned, but from 6 to 1 is obviously the good ones that like even at their worst are admittedly a fine job at a movie Part 3 is kinda the most forgettable out of the original 4 which is my favourite section of the franchise, and I dislike many of the things that are now deemed iconic, but it's not like it commits any sin it's a pretty fun time for the most part The reboot to me is an exceptionally made 2000s slasher film that just kinda loses me when it comes to the approach of the lore, otherwise it gets hate for unreal things since its characters are pretty great and the kills and tone is kickass all throughout Parts 2 and 6 are really always switching for me but overall Ima put Jason Lives below because altho it's fantasticly directed and has several amazing sequences, the story in its entirety is not exactly focused and can kinda feels like it drags along or that it's sacraficed for the gags, Part 2 on the other hand is paced pretty much perfectly and it is to me the best thematic progression of Jason Voorhees as it really creates all the things that make him a modern mythic figuire, also Ginny best character in the franchise and the other actors also pretty strong for the standart Part 4 is the best sequel quite undoubtedly for me, it has all the right ingridients for a Friday film and it is actually scary, also having the best cast of would be victims that actually carry the screentime even before it's their time for a spectacular death, but yea essential Jason movie imo But the original is just in a tier of it's own man, it's not even like to compete in its own franchise cause it is inherently so much different, it's basically an incredible encapsulation of this time and place that just happens to have the horros of the world laid upon the unexpected youth, like i could talk for days how actually meaningful it is, sad that these days you barely see it in peoples Top 5s because it's boring or lame or unoriginal or some shit, but I cant help but adore it

12. Part 8: Jason Takes Manhattan - Put Jason in New York until the last 20-30 minutes when most of those scenes were filmed in Vancouver. 1/10 11. Part 5: A New Beginning - Most of the characters are just there to die and trying something new is in this movie, but I didn't like that path it went. 1/10 10. Part 3D - Aside from Jason getting his hockey mask and the great second half of the movie, the first half was just boring and it doesn't get the ball rolling until Jason got his hockey mask. 2/10 9. Jason Goes to Hell - I actually like that they tried something new and original, but it doesn't make this movie make any sense. Having Jason become a body snatching parasite was pretty stupid and the way Jason resurrects was stupid as well because if he could resurrect fully from his dead half sister's corpse, why didn't Jason do that in the first place when he encountered the news anchor when he overheard him talking about Diana's corpse being in the basement?! We would've at least seen more of Jason. 3/10 8. 2009 Remake - I have mixed feelings for this one. Smart Jason is alright, but the characters aren't that interesting. Jason kidnapping Whitney, who looks nothing like Pamela Voorhees, was beyond stupid. "Say hi to Mommy....in hell". Yeah even though we never got a sequel to the remake, I'm hoping Jason killed Whitney. 5/10 7. Part 2 - It's the first time that they introduced Jason as the killer, so it's good for what it was.Also, the burlap sack looks much more creepy than his iconic hockey mask. 6/10 6. Jason X - I get that it's stupid to have Jason in space, but it's very entertaining as hell to watch. 6/10 5. Part 6: Jason Lives - If I can forget the fact that Tommy was the reason Jason is alive, this is a solid movie for me. 7/10 4. Part 1 - It's a classic, people. The kills that are done by the killer's POV and that was a great choice. I love the suspense and mystery behind this movie. 7/10 3. Freddy vs Jason - Great kills and great fight scenes, but had the worst characters I've ever seen. They're annoying as hell. 7.5/10 2. Part 7: The New Blood - The greatest Jason I've ever seen with great kills. Kane Hodder was great in his debut as Jason, but I'll admit that "Not Carrie" (Yes I know her name is Tina, but who cares? She is not Carrie. The only reason Jason is alive is because of her) has telekinetic powers for some reason. Where did that come from? 8/10 1. Part 4: The Final Chapter - Fun characters, one of the best Jasons, and of course, Corey Feldman as Tommy Jarvis was a great actor and character. 9/10

My number 1 Friday movie is final chapter,I like the Element of surprise killes granted it's a classic I just like it and I like that they reveal his face at the end and the way they introduce tommy jarvis,corey feldman did a great job.

Freddy vs. Jason is #1 for me
