In my personal opinion, Severus Snape is a bad guy/evil. Yes, Snape is known to be a morally gray character because he was on Dumbledore's side after Lily's death. However, I think he is more evil/bad than good. He only joined Dumbledore's side and protected Harry for all of those years because of Lily and his love for her. That's it. He never protected Harry because he cared about Harry, he did it because of the guilt he feels over Lily's death and how their friendship ended prior to her death. Before Lily's death he asked for Voldemort not to kill Lily, just Lily. Not to also protect James and baby Harry because Lily was all that he cared about. Even Dumbledore said he was disgusted with Snape when he only asked Voldemort to spare Lily. Also, Snape liked to bully the children at Hogwarts, especially towards Neville. So, he really isn't a good character.

right but the ability to make a patronis isn't about morality, it's about their most powerful happy thought. most people can't cast a patronus, but snape had his memories and times with lily, harry had... something XD. and umbridge i think was legit actual evil and probably pulled happiness from the thought of executing people according to the law she was weilding. right, snape isn't good good, maybe not even grey, but he wasn't evil. on the moral scale he wasn't evil, he was selfish. umbridge was evil evil, akin to voldamort.

something about umbridge, she is the only "evil" person who can make a patronis, which uses the power of happiness or whatever. after eveyrthing she's done the carving, the being part of the highest governmental order of being voldamort's party, she drew pure unadlterated joy from that. she is evil for evils sake because she loves what she does

@@Slytherinarmy i think i understand what your saying, but isn't it possible for snape to make a patronus because of his happiness or whatever happiness he derived from lily? I agree with you he's a bad dood with bad thought processes and bad motives, but he isn't evil. misguided and delusional maybe, but umbridge was different

Voldemort tried to a kill a baby. How does that not top the list.
