after what feels like MUCH longer than two years, we finally got our long awaited Disciple Virtual Riot return in the form of this HIGHLY ANTICIPATED remix compilation! Eleven remixes and three VIPs, this package has some of the best names in bass music such as Mr. Bill, Dani Demand and Oliverse. most of these tracks were pretty solid! eight of them made it onto my playlist, and the others definitely weren’t bad either. a pretty neat project overall

every score and placement in this video is my opinion and shouldn’t be taken as 100% truth- if you disagree with me, that’s okay! i can’t enjoy everything sadly, and some tracks have ranked lower than others but please don’t flame me in the comments for it. also, if a song you dislike has a high score please do NOT go around bashing me for the opinion- it’s just a youtube video. also, i do not tolerate disrespect towards artists in my comments- i want to encourage a supportive community rather than a toxic one!

donkong remix and the forgotten's remix are my fav of this ep
1:07 "lemme tell ya, not knowing an artist while also not having listened to the original song (in this case) is really difficult in terms of writing a review" A lil critique but whenever you rank a project of entirely remixes, it's always best to also listen to the original songs to get an understanding of how much a remix altered the original song. Of course a person's definition of a good remix can vary; I've seen some people call remixes underwhelming when they don't alter a remix much, which is totally fair. Nonetheless, hearing an original song then a remix to understand the difference can probably alter someone's opinions, even drastically. (That being said I didn't find the Subtronics remix to be good either.)

i’ve heard pretty much 90% of the tracks beforehand but i think a part of me just wanted to get this one out quickly as it was new- will definitely bear in mind for next time

@@zadinx no yeah no hate at all haha, we all got our own taste. For me it’s just the vocal before the drop of “PLAY BALL” into the chunkiest bass slaps ever. Idk it just goes crazy
The Rankz remix slaps, I didn't like it at first as well but gave it a couple more listens and now it's pretty solid. Mixdown is definitely weird though, a bit too muffled.
as much as i love vr this LP is mid at best
