I would love to see you challenge yourself with a mix of a mid-top and a mid-bottom tier theme together, like 'abandoned elegantcore;' I think that would allow you chaos AND also to not necessarily follow strictly symmetrical builds because things could be ruined/broken/missing/etc on one side 😋 (Plus I just think you would do a beautiful job!!)

THIS IS LITERALLY MY ISLAND 😂❤

My current island is what I call “Café-core”. (Not sure if it already exists 😂). Has little cafés, bakeries & restaurants with those kinds of motifs scattered around. I’m using the DLC to redecorate the villager houses :) Heres the aim end-goal of villagers and their house themes: •Cherry- Punk Rock Roadhouse •Dobie- Library Cafe •Bob- Breakfast Diner •Cousteau- Fitness Food Store •Bettina- Cooking School •Merengue- Bakery •Stella- Knitting Nook Inn •Chai- “Starbucks Style” Coffee Shop •Olivia- Elegant Tearoom •Marshal- Modern Bistro

Same, I dont rlly think the theme matters, if I want to do pastel then I do pastel on one part of my island, if I want to do forestcore, I do it on the other part of the island.

I don’t know if it already exists but me and my best friends do our islands as “small town core” I would love to see someone else do this but this is what it is You get villagers for the town grandparents, adults, teenagers, and kids There should be at least 3 kids 1 teenager 2 adults and 2 grandparents None of them need to be related it’s like a small town family For building have a picnic area, a hangout area, a lemonade stand that the kids run, a small cafe to eat, and you can add other things to Details: try to have one grandparent really happy and the other grumpy like actual grandparents and try to have a adult that runs a cafe and gets to hear about all the kids little adventures when they come to eat And for the last thing try to get the small villagers to be the kids That’s all my friend and I really like this core it’s really fun to do I hope more people do it.❤

Wait I love this soooo much! I have done a summer beachy boho island, a fall European city/town core island, and am currently working on winter fairycore. I was thinking of doing a spring island next and I’m definitely going to do this. Thanks so much for the idea!

i dunno if this has been done yet, but i think itd be cool to do a 30 day island, but the theme is based on your first beach diy, first tree item and your first balloon item !! ^^

I dont even have an aesthetic theme for my island. Im still working on it, but my island is based on my favorite game, Cult of the Lamb! I havent seen anyone do that yet, so I wanted to challenge myself! 😁

I think cottage core is THE animal crossing theme, almost every furniture is perfect for cottage core and its variations! It’s also very pretty, and fairly easy to make it look really good! But my fav will forever be kidcore and abandoned/slightly spooky! I love both putting every color variation of one item in one place, and hiding fake bodies or crime scenes on my islands 😈 My fav one I’ve done (and the only one I regret erasing) was a pink kidcore island with small details saying someone disappeared and a very well hidden murder scene on a beach 😈

my island is norm core by accident. I started making my island in 2021 after a friends recommended the game to me. I wasn't very online during that time (I just barely had instagram) and I didn't know that people were giving their islands themes! I just started building whatever super chaotic and just putting my builds wherever they would fit. I also kept my starters (Katt and Cobb) because I got super attached to them before I knew villager hunting was a thing. all of this just to say I love norm core and I disagree with the statement that it has a lack of chaos, because my island is very chaotic and random, but I still love it.

I just restarted my island, and I knew I was gonna do space core but now seeing this I think I'm gonna include some abandoned island vibes as if it was just discovered

My current island (which i have abandoned for a few months, sorry island!) is elegantcore and is definitely the island ive decorated the most. All the structure helps me to plan out my builds

I love the city core theme and the fairy core theme they are so pretty. And I have a theme park mixed with pumpkins and a graveyard like a Halloween theme also I have a basketball court on my island.

not actually going to do this because I don't want to restart my current island, but I had the idea at some point to do an island that was like...chocolatecore. All of the paths are chocolate, all of the decorations have to do with sweets, and you get villagers like merengue, cookie, or coco. Just...putting that out there in case anyone wants to steal it.

how about Out of the Abyss core. You could use Boone for Demogorgon, Rodeo for Baphomet, Diva or Gigi for Graz'zt, Angus for Orcus, Buck for Yeenoghu (did the best I could), Camofrog for Juiblex, Avery for Fraz-Urb'luu, and Coco for Zuggtomy. I have no idea who to use for lolth

unpopular/popular idk opinion but i absolutely love love cottagecore, it’s so beginner friendly and it looks cute, you dont have to own many diy recipes and buy lots of items to make your island pretty, i can see why people dont like it because its quite basic but idk i feel like you can do lots of different things with the theme and even combine it with other themes like fairy core

I have been trying to make a cottage core forever island - no terraforming- but I’m not really feeling it. I think I’m going to shift it to more of a meadow with bigger open spces

My island is i guess watercore? Everything is themed around water and the ocean, like i have a pool, tropicana, my house is an aquarium, a massive lake that takes up basically the whole middle of my island, a bar, one of my beaches is a coral reef, everything is blue, all my villagers are blue.

I just got animal crossing and I’m so happy!
