Blush AND kittys! Yes! I'm so Here for the kitty stories!! Nothing quite like finding the perfect pet for your family. My princess kitty Zoe has been the best cat I've ever had and I've had several that I've loved through the years but they were always my cats. Zoe is the first kitty that my children and husband bonded with as much as I have and I can't imagine my life without her... congratulations on your new fur baby.

As both a long time subscriber and an animal rescue volunteer, I want to encourage everyone to adopt as opposed to curating a pet from a breeder or pet store. Emily, you did a great job searching your heart and knowing when it was right. I would like to clarify, though, that animal rescues are not trying to make it difficult for folks to adopt. It's that we are trying not to place animals in situations where they would need to be returned to the shelter and rehomed again because they were not the right fit for that individual or family. It still happens because you don't always know how pets are going to react to different people. We're all doing the best we can to protect and nurture these rescued animals because they don't have anybody else. I hope that makes sense and doesn't discourage anyone from seeking out local rescue organizations. I'm so happy you got fun and sweet kitties for your family. 💋💕

What a blessing that you found these beautiful sibling kitties. I also love how the red cardinal was just the sign you needed. I lost my beautiful Hera ten years ago and was inconsolable for the longest time but the timing wasn’t right to adopt new kitties from the shelter. I found two sisters and they are beloved by everyone in our family. What a perfect age for Bubba to learn about having a pet. SWEET BBYS! I am so glad you guys found a pair of kittens to rescue. They're adorable. We lost our oldest cat Penguin very suddenly in March 2021 and 2 days later ended up adopting our new boy, Doodle. It just ended up working out so quickly time wise. Not at all planned but it worked out :). I am so glad they are adjusting so well to their new home.

you made me cry which is not that easy. Thank you so much for taking in these two beautiful felines. May they be healthy and happy forever. I lost all my cats and it took me three years to be able to accept any in my life. I decided I never wanted an animal again but a stray came to my home anyway no matter what. And I will say that when I decided to let her stayI didn't expect to love her as much as my others. She saved my life. Again thank you for adopting and not purchasing.

Love the kitten news! Over the pandemic my husband helped make my dream come true of owning/running my own nonprofit for kittens. It's a lot of hard work but the reward of helping abandoned kittens is scooo worth it. And my kids are learning, too. They help me in the rescue and do work and play. Our rescues get so much love before we find the perfect home. Love, love this news. P.s. I recently had a couple adopt a kitten from me and they too shared with me how hard it was to adopt a kitten. They kept getting turned down for the most ridiculous reasons. I'm picky and know what questions to ask and what I need to know to ensure the safe, loving home. But it sounds like BIG shelters and being extra picky to the point where this couple was so let down from trying so many times.

I've been lucky with my kitties, they all adopted me. One of my kitties passed away from cancer 4 years ago, and I hadn't planned on getting any more than the two I had left. Then in Feb, just before Covid, a baby girl kitty showed up on my doorstep. We tried to see if she had an owner, checked all the local lost/found animal groups, and she went through the stray hold at the shelter. Nobody claimed her, so she got to come home with me. She is the sweetest psycho kitty, she loves to give kisses, but will also knock anything off any flat surface 🤣. Animals just fill in any holes in your heart with love, so congrats on your two new cuties!

Dear Emily, I'm so glad you have opened your heart and your home to new kittens. When Baker transitioned I remember being so sad for you and also fearful because I had my 16-year-old poodle Coco sick. I would have never imagined by June 2020 we would have to help him cross due to kidney failure. I just feel they both crossed so close to each other and it was such a hard time to lose a family member at the start of the pandemic. When you talked about your sign I just teared up. Our angels are always with us, just gone from our sight.

Awww!!! That's such a beautiful adoption story ❤ I addopted a kitten to be my son's company, and it was the best desition. As you said, they have the same enrgy level and are willing to play and give love equally. When you mentioned that they would jump on when reading on the coach, it brought back memories from our kitty. Up until today, when my son is reading our cat is sitting by his side, just chilling.

I have two sibling cats I adopted as kittens, and they’re my joy. They’re always together, they cuddle, play, and clean each other, they’re so precious. I’m so happy for you! Cats are amazing, such loving little creatures.

I accidentaly adopt an adult cat 4 months ago, and I am so happy with him!!! I think he was abandoned; but now he has a new home and a loving family. He looks happy

That's perfect! Kittens are such fun! They are so funny! I got my son with ADHD and Asperger's Syndrome a kitten from a shelter, via PetSmart, for his sixth birthday. Two kittens would have been great, but I already had a senior cat and we lived in a 2 bedroom apartment and had to pay two pet deposits each, and then monthly pet rent for each cat. That was rough, since I was a single mom on a limited income. I picked out the kitten at the store by myself first (the last one left...a cute Tabby), had them hold the kitten for me, picked up my son, and then took him to the store "to see if they had any kittens". 😁 It was love at first sight, both ways. That cat just loved my son to death, and he calmed my son down immediately. It was beautiful...one of the best parenting decisions I ever made. 💕🙏🙏🙏💕

Such a hard decision to make about getting a pet when you're on a budget but so beautiful to hear that you were to make it happen for your son. We'll be getting a pet for our son who's also on the spectrum. I can't wait.

There truly is no love like the love from a cat or cats. As a cat mom myself of over 20 years now, I totally get that feeling of knowing you wanted another cat after Cupcake. Hearing you talk about losing Cupcake made me cry. My baby boy is 16 & we've had him since he was very little (actually about the same size as Biscuits and Rosie.) Hes been having trouble lately & i dread the day when i no longer have him. So just hearing about Cupcake stirred up emotions. However, i also cried happy tears when hearing about you acquiring the kittens. I know they will bring you & your family so much happiness over the years.
