Reality is often disappointing

Kino... in my own opinion was a great launch map. Because it took all the innovations from der riese and made it a map for Bo1. Der Reise was a simple, and easy to learn map, so is kino. I understand that it didn't innovate, but its honestly still my personal favorite zombies map, because it's simple and you dont have to do 400 steps to get to pack a punch. But that's just what I think

Simple pack a punch makes for a good map? No. Mob of the dead has the BEST pack a punch steps. Would you rather teleport to the projector room, or rather fly a plane and get struck by lighting and crash into the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco? Fax, kino is not good for pack a punch. It's a decent map, but it doesn't stand out at ALL for the pack a punch.

No he’s looking past nostalgia, kino was boring and repetitive, revelations was cool but had a pretty crap ee and origins is just perfect. Everything from the panzer soldat to the giant robots to the first map which had multiple wonder weapons, 1 for each player. Pat described it perfectly. Take a break from zombies and come back to it and you’ll find you’ve changed a lot

About Verrückt, it is understandable. But NACHT ? Even if this map has nothings in term of content, it has something in terms of atmosphere when you play it. Nacht is an esiteric map. It's awesome because of somethigbg understandable. And I don't talk about nostalgia. I play Zombies since Moon only.

Did you read all my comment ? I didn't play NdT that much back in the day. I played Der Riese everyday actually. But I have to say that the rare time I played NdT on WaW (which I get a long time after BO1 btw), I felt something.

Wait nuketown is underrated and barebones, but kino is basic? Kino is, apart from the Nova crawlers, really barebones. Nuketown only has the alternating perk system and a lot less character (in my opinion). It’s weird to see these maps so far apart from each other.

Nuketown ranked 11 for it being so unique coz it’s “barebones.” Yet veruukt, nacht, shi no numa and kino were all ranked at the bottom and are truly unique and “barebones.” Nuketown is just a re-skin of what we’ve seen for ages.

Imo, zetsubou is very underrated, as well as the kt4. The ee is fun to me, pretty basic to do for a casual player besides a couple steps. Most of it is just getting the masamune, and it definitely does take too long to do that I’ll admit, but other than that, u just teleport with abh, shock the zip line and shoot down the plane, and then it’s the boss fight. I like the spiders as the special round even though they can be glitchy at times. They really fit the vibe of the map and the mama spider mini boss fight is sooo cool. The kt 4/ masamune is also underrated to me. It’s very tedious to build but once you get it, it’s an insta kill forever and has a decent amount of ammo. The skull is also by far the coolest and most powerful bo3 specialist just because of how short the charge is

Verruckt it one of my favorites: it is the only map that is super challenging in its own way, the only close map to its challenge is five, even the pap doesn’t make that map easy

Jacob Christianson the way the list turned out was pretty accurate in that case then? All waw maps bottom as they had little to do and as the games get more complex they get a higher ranking. That is objective. As he said towards the top of the list its his own opinion as all of those maps are objectively good. People who say stuff like kino should be higher are way too caught up in nostalgia and need to accept the innovation.

Eddie Murphy although kino is a objectively a better map. It is designed better than tranzit and it has better map flow. Tranzit is designed poorly. That is a fact. Kino is a good map designed well. Just because tranzit has "more stuff" does not make it a better map.

Ascension was super innovative it invented adding new perks and added 2, invented adding special grenades,added 2 new special grenades, lunar landers, first map to have an easter egg, added a melee weapon. I mean what more do u want. In conclusion it invented new perks new special grenades a new “vehicle”/map traversal element, first easter egg, and a new boss round zombie. It doesn’t seem super inventive but it was the first to add some of the most important parts of what created newer maps special or inventive. You as well as most of the comments complained about no new perks in bo3 but ascension was only map EVER to introduce TWO new perks and TWO new Special Grenades.

Treyarch kind of trolled us in die rise by having the new wonder weapon make the floor slippery, on a map that takes place in abandoned and destroyed skyscrapers where you can easily fall off. Similar to how in CotD they introduced George as a new mechanic and made the wonder weapon of that map shoot explosives with an extremely large blast radius.

The sliquifier is one of the most powerful WW of all time so it's just a way to balance it and make it more risky in certain areas. If you walk slowly in goo you will never, ever fall off. It makes you have to pay attention to your surroundings.

i dont see why people dont praise shi no numa, one of my favourites, was very influential, created the crew, first wonder weapon that wasnt the ray gun, moving perks, hell hounds, different traps, ways to move around a map (zipline), changing box location. Personally it should replace der reise, i had just as much fun if not more, bigger map cool setting way more influential i mean der reise is great but it only brang in pack...... thats it lol.

When trying to be objective, just because it introduced it doesn’t mean anything, it’s what it does with it that means something. When you get down to it, Shi no Numa is one main hub that opens into 4 smaller areas, so the layout is pretty un-inspired. Those “different traps” you were talking about are only two. Electric and the one flogger trap, random perks is pretty annoying on that map, nuketown does that better. That zipline was overpriced and only brought you the distance of a 4 sec run to the shack.

Zetsubo is in my top 10 I actually enjoyed it. Shangri la was also in my top 10 I loved the atmosphere and the difficulty. You can just get the lightning bow and get round 100
