Heart ring for those parry bosses doesn’t really make sense because chalice is just better because the bosses were designed around her. Like cuphead against the horse is so much worse than using chalice

The Chaser is better than Crackshot. Both lock onto enemies, but Crackshot had 2 downsides. It's not as accurate as Chaser, and its slow fire rate. So Chaser is better.

Not gonna lie any weapon could kill Sally stageplay, one of the easiest bosses in the game

1. Peashooter is extremely basic but I’ve come to appreciate it for how efficient it is at hitting bosses from far away and it’s rapid fire rate. For example, I think peashooter is the third best weapon against Grim Matchstick’s final phase, under lobber and charge. All it does is shoot straight and you have full control over the direction it’s going, so there’s no risk of breaking the fireballs. 2. I use to loathe Twist Up, but I grew to like it cause it forces you to get creative. I could name a scenario where it’s useful for every single boss except Baroness and Grim Matchstick. And unlike roundabout, it’s a lot easier to get full use out of it’s EX. 3. Charge EX is broken. One of my favorite things to do in speed running attempts is spam spread, quickly switch and use charge EX, repeat. I tested it on the first phase of phantom express, it ends the phase and many other bosses at a scary fast rate. Pretty great rank Pilky.

I would say that twist up is good for skilled players, you can always aim it when you have focus and you can hit multiple shots at a time and with the EX a you just need to time it, it deserves place 5

I think that chasers practicality should be better because you can just focus on doing the bosses attacks while still doing damage and the damage amount is good for the type of shot it is, it's main focus is to be used for beginners to get the boss patterns down while wanting g the damage and if the damage to as higher it would be too much damage because most of not all the bullets hit the target so if the damage was higher you could just beat a boss in seconds which defeats the point of the chaser.

@@SirPilkyAlso the crackshot is in the dlc, so it might not be availabe to every player. But yes crack shot is definitely better

The only use case for the uncharged shot is to get in a tiny bit of extra damage on a boss you hit with a charged shot before you need to start dodging again. This only matters if you have charge alone. Switching to another shot is fast enough that it'll almost always be more useful. The only other benefit is quickly taking out enemies in run n' gun levels, but again, just switch weapons.

Pea shooter combined with crackshot is OP you just win

Crackshot should be in number 1 because it can adapt to every boss and their phases

Tldr 10: uncharged shot 9: twist up 8: chaser 7:peashot 6:converge 5: lobber 4: Spread 3:crackshot 2: roundabout 1:charged shot

My personal favorite is the spread, probably followed by the crackshot. I often have spread as a secondary at least- the damage output really is a good way to kill off bosses quickly. Sometimes the range can be a hinderance, but I feel that you can get close enough to most bosses to deal that damage, so long that you’re strategic and careful about it, so normally it isn’t impossible to tackle.

I find twist up to be useful in most bosses, it’s situational but you can just aim and it’s really useful for bosses above you and even if it’s on the side of course, just aim, it’s really good on phantom express, chef salt-baker, devil, king dice, root pack, Cagney, and basically every boss beside 2 or 3, buts it’s your opinion and I respect it

SO many bosses can be cheesed with twist up

For some reason I find spread to be an amazing weapon, but I will have to agree with its rank, and it also makes it kind of hard to get a perfect score in most bosses. Another thing that some people may not know is that crackshot parried with heart ring is a broken combo, you can gain hearts while also dealing damage, if you can't parry or think you can't parry the actual projectiles. There is also no risk of accidently losing a life. Overall, great video and I agree with every rank except for charge (mainly because I am bad at using charge). I also want to thank you for making such amazing videos and I hope you continue to make more amazing videos. ❤

Personal ranking (I'll only include ACTUAL shots) 9: Peashooter: The most basic weapon in the game, I can never find a good reason to use it against any boss. Decent in the early game but falls off almost instantly after you start getting better shots. 8: Chaser: The easiest shot to use at the cost of doing the least damage. Useful against more mobile phases as unlike every other shot, Chaser physically cannot miss its target. Usually outclassed as most phases are more stationary, making other shots better in general. 7: Twist-up: These next few are more situational in my opinion, but not totally useless. Twist-up arcs upwards, making it useful against phases with higher-up hitboxes. Twist-up is particularly effective against the Phantom Express, as almost every phase has a higher-up hitbox, Captain Brineybeard for reasons stated in-video, and Sally Stageplay due to her jumping around and hovering in the air. 6: Converge: I generally think the higher-DPS shots are usually better and Converge is no exception. Although pretty situational, it's piercing abilities make it great against the frogs, as they're grouped together in the first phase, and the Devil's later phases, particularly the third phase, where Converge helps to take down all the minions that spawn. 5: Lobber: The second most damaging shot in the game only behind spread, and very much the antithesis of the Twist-up. Lobber has a lower fire rate and arcs downward but does a lot of damage. It's unique behavior and decent ground range makes it effective against phases with hitboxes that are closer to the bottom of the screen. I personally use this quite often, especially against Grim Matchstick. It also has more niche uses against some other bosses due to its unique behaviors and high DPS. 4: Charge: Call me a freak, but I don't like Charge as much as others seem to. It's very hard to use due to its charge mechanic, and it's DPS is only 3rd best behind lobber and spread. However, it's still a great shot due to its screen-wide range and high overall DPS. It has some great utility against bosses like Captain Brineybeard and Werner Werman. It also has a lot of more niece uses like against Grim Matchstick or the Devil. 3: Spread: The single highest DPS shot in the game. It can be tough to use against certain bosses, but most of the time, there's at least one phase where Spread can be very powerful. Spread's strength comes of course from its insane firepower, which comes at the cost of a pitiful range. It's very useful against more stationary bosses like the Devil, the Root Pack, and Rumor Honeybottoms, but ultimately, it falls short against more mobile phases. 2: Crackshot: This thing is nuts. Up close, it has the DPS of LOBBER, but from afar, it practically homes in at the cost of damage. Even then, it STILL does more damage than chaser. Its EX is busted when paired with Heart ring, and it literally cheats against the ENITRE DLC. 1: Roundabout: Yeah, was there EVER any competition? And this is coming from a former skeptic as well! Roundabout does a high amount of damage, not as high as the higher-DPS shots, but there's also the fact that it comes back, making it incredibly easy to hit bosses with it. This shot went from a shot I barely ever used, to my go-to standard shot after I discovered its true power. Seriously, this shot sometimes makes the game TOO EASY. It literally CHEESES more than half of the grounded bosses in the entire game!

I always use spread on Chalice because she can easily double jump to get inside bosses (Pause 😳) hitboxes and spam EX which makes all the spikes hit dealing a lot of damage Great ranking btw!

Tbh i like the crackshots ex only for one reason. When you use the heart ring and you can parry to get hp, you can actually use the parryable ex to get extra hp. I dont use the heart ring that much. But when i do its really helpful to use that ex.

I will not allow Crackshot EX slander here, it deserves more points other than a 2, if you have the parry ring that is a pocket heal, it can get rid of pesky minions while you focus on the boss, possibledouble (triple if miss Chalice) jump options for avoiding attacks heck on my S rank of salt baker I had crackshot and the turret helped out a ton with the 2nd phase as I used twist up and crackshot in tandem Yes I has Crackshot, twist-up combo for salt baker, Yes I got an S on it, YES I used Miss Chalice with the armor super, and fyi I did that UNINTENIONALLY, and salt baker is no walk in the park even if you play as Chalice and I S ranked him with no thoughts other than surviving and breathing

Okay I might be getting controversial here, before the introduction of my beloved crackshot I wiped the floor with most of the bosses with Roundabout and Lobber. (It’s been my main weapons ever since the game first came out, and they never disappoint me.)

Honestly I think that's a pretty good loadout!

Twist up isn't really the best on any fight, but it is massivly uderrated. I won't pretend it is good, but you can use it if you know how to. Aiming down makes it cover the screen below you, because it will go sideways for example. Aiming up will work the same way.

Roundabout and crack shot are my go to weapons

I mean technically if you’re good enough the practicality ranking doesn’t matter and instead the highest damage stuff with the best ex’s are the ideal weapons so honestly I’d rather have spreadshot or lobber over roundabout even though roundabout is pretty solid. Charge is very good in general though especially for S ranks so I agree with that

late but heres my opinion 10.uncharge (you have to spam your controler to give like 1 dps) 9.chaser (crackshot exists) 8.lobber (only good in bosses like grim and rumor but other than that not good) 7.twist up (idk) 6.charge (ok i guess) 5.peashooter (subtle and good) 4.converge (idk 2) 3.spread (the most powerful one and good in most cases) 2. roundabout (amazing dps) 1. crackahot (more damage homing missle? yes please)

as someone that doesn't have the dlc, i think that chaser is way to slept on (or i just have no skill). but i do have to say i would not have put charge up in first, even though it as alot of damage, i think its annoying to keep having to release the shoot button and than pressing it again, that's i think roundabout is number 1. but thats just my opinion.

This is why I didn't give it a perfect score in practicality but if you put in enough practice to get good I've found it's not that much of an issue and I just make sure to time my dashes right

Charge and Roundabout have always been my go-to pair as well.

Roundabout also actually only does about the same as peashooter, same with uncracked crackshot

As Someone Who's Beaten Cuphead's Main Game And Is Beating The Main Game On Expert And Beating The DLC S Tier 1. Crack Shot - the best weapon is Crack Shot who knew? this is pretty much the giga chad version of Chaser like Cagney is a god damn joke with Crack Shot but this pick was hard as Round A Bout was god like as well but the auto lock feature gives this shot the edge 2. Round A Bout - the shot that is my primary due to the damage output and it's god like range but unfortunately it's not auto lock but honestly it should have been #1 3. Spread - this shot is very good for good damage and it's ex shot is also good but it's range is unfortunately not good but if not for it's range it could've been higher A Tier 4. Converge - to me at least this weapon is a better version of Pea Shooter Due To the arcing shots It shoots (this might be my dramatic pick in the list honestly) 5. Chaser - honestly this was the hardest weapon to rank due to the usage and drama this shot brings but the added benefit of focused on dodging attacks but it's outclassed By a better weapon in the future 6. Pea Shooter - the basic one of the bunch while shots like lobber are better than Pea Shooter I use this weapon regularly but it's only here because to me Pea Shooter is average not bad or good B Tier 7. Charge - obviously the most unique shot due To it's charging mechanic honestly I don't use this weapon too much Since it's more complicated to use which is why it's this low 8. Lobber - while this weapon is useful and quite damaging it's only effective against platform bosses like Grim , Cagney and Rumor 9. Twist Up - Potato King was so wrong this weapon sucks C Tier 10. Uncharged Charge Shot - literally no one uses this except for KZreadrs challenge videos

in all seriousness tho, i don't have dlc yet, but my fav loadout regardless thus far is either roundabout or chaser and the spread, as i would end up doing a decent job of dealing damage at both long and close range, along with the extra-hp or twin-heart charm, so i can be more tanky, and quite fitting since i prefer tank/support characters in games cuz i'm a team player hahaha. And my fav super is easily the energy beam. Super versatile and nigh impossible for it to be bad!!

@@SirPilky Honestly, i think if i had the dlc too, i can then replace chaser w/ crackshot and my strat would be even better!

My usual “scouting” combo is chaser and charge, with smoke bomb and super art 1. But by th way, twist up is pretty good, and I’ve found my self using against bosses the have an “air” phase like that one theatre idiot

I feel like all DLC weapons should get like a minus certain amount of points because you have to pay for them

the uncharged charge shot is still the worsts shot HOWEVER. in chef saltbakers second phase the peppershakers he summons have as much health as exactly one fully charged charge shot and one uncharged charge shot. therefore you can send out a charge shot and an uncharged charge shot in quick succession before focussing on a different pepper shaker

I use this strategy a lot when S ranking saltbaker, and it's probably the single best purpose for the uncharged charge shot lol

i used Chaser for my entire playthrough since I got it but I don't have the DLC so if I did I'd probably be using Crackshot

Twist up is underrated if you're very good with it it's well very good

5:23 I'd say that chaser is really good for moonshine mob phase 3 and better than crackshot

Crack shot does what chaser does better there's only one boss where chaser is better and that's saltbaker final and maybe first phase

I would put the charge ex score down a little from the ex doing less then the shot

Also is it me or does it feel like the crackshot ex is too weak to be helpful

When I realize I'm not holding the shoe button long enough but I realize I need to Dash and I need to charge stuff I just ate at the box and attack it with uncharged up I mean the only those six damage but something to nothing

Bro twist up is so op if you can't aim that is a skill issue and if you wanna hit a boss like potato then just turn around and look up. It does damage and it's really good for people that can aim. So if you have a skill issue it's fine it's not for you but it's pretty good for more than half the bosses.

I've done a lot of challenge runs with Twist-Up and have had my fair share of practice with it. I just don't find much use for it, especially because of other weapons that have the same dps like roundabout and are easier to hit every shot

roundabout is #1 for me i use it for every boss i fight and its ex is probably has saved me so many times

Chasers ex is basically if you want to do damage with it just use spreader ex

Lobber actually only does a little more damage than roundabout

I think the ability to create an object to bounce off is very good cracked shot's ex deserves more

In my opinion the clown is the best for converge because you can destroy those ducks and penguins they pierce so they go right through
