Complains that I there is too much flying in “Friends in high places” The literal flying campaign. I loved that story 09/06/22 Edit: The remember the ending to Friends in High places. All the war stories elicit such different emotions and reactions from the player at the end.

I wished that you mentioned the death scene in the Italian mission of the brother. The whole "he never got old..." speech, the visuals, and music made it a powerful moment.

A lot of Italians immigrated to the United States during the early 20th century, especially after WW1 ended (I think, my memory of history is a little fuzzy; correct me if I'm wrong), so she could have been born and raised in the US, just by an Italian parentage.

I love that mission on hard, anything else is just boring

More than 60 million soldiers fought in 'The War to End All Wars'. It ended nothing, yet it changed the world forever. What follows is frontline combat. You are not expected to survive. The atmosphere from the prologue was amazing. Fires and gas everywhere, muddy no-mans-land, shellshocked soldiers. It really set the tone of WW1.

you have no respect. Those emus while I understand their intentions of defending their land, they were awful. My grandfather led many battles against these monsters. their weapons were more advanced than ours. they were impossible to hit in the trenches where only their tiny heads and skinny necks were visible. My Grandpa told me that when the fighting got to extreme, our sides came to a truce. True emus left to colonise Mars. They left clones of the stupidest emus on earth to cover up the atrocities they did. Us humans did atrocities to and the entire country of Australia would have to deal with PETA if anyone found out. We covered it up on our side by saying it was a few mercenaries hired by farmers. We used to be one of the greatest military mights on earth, but look what the birds did to us. I suggest you don't make fun of emus because they would happily come back and show you what they can do. long story short, show some respect.

I actually only enjoyed the Prologue the most. That was the only I felt captured the Combat I was expecting. The rest just felt like stealth missions.

Avanti Savoia was my favorite because of the message it carries, the atmosphere, the theatre it takes place in (the Italian front is rarely covered when it comes to both World Wars), and the Ending line it gives you, that fucking gave me chills as I've lost a sibling personally, so it really hit home.

As an Aussie, The Runner really hit home for me. Finally a game commemorating the sacrifice of our ANZACS was amazing. Made me feel even prouder than I already am.

Oh, Come on... Nothing is written was beautiful, Avanti Sovia was quite sad, friends in high places was a bad-good story, meaning the character changed for the good over time. The Runner made me smile from joy at its end. I don't even need to explain the rest Battlefield 1 campaign was obviously made to represent ww1 in a different way then how others see it. I don't know what everyone hates it.

If they expanded the prologue into a full blown story with more trench warfare then that would have been the best war story ever. The prologue was what I was hoping the BF1 campaign would be. Also the second level of the arditi mission is actually very cool, gives the closest feel to the prologue

TBAG, you said that Clyde Blackburn was not a good person and very rude, however this was most likely the intended persona of the character, and is what makes you wonder whether he was a hero or a villain. You can argue both ways which makes him such a dynamic and interesting character. I respect your decisions but try to think a little deeper about the characters. Disliking a war story because the protagonist isn't a glorified hero all the time does not seem very valid. Everyone has opinions and this is mine. Anyways I really enjoyed your video and it was interesting to what someone else thought about the war stories. 👍

the thing is, it's is very likely that Clyde Blackburn was a straight up vilian, the final cutscene of the war story establishes him as an unreliable narrator, and that a rumors are going around that he murdered his way through the western front, stole a plane, and murdered it's original pilot - Wilson, and only escaped retribution because of a german bombing run on London. and considering how he is portrayed in the story. it's probably all true and that his entire story is a lie. which perfectly showcase how war is needlessly glorified and that the soldiers cane sometimes be terrible people. not to mention how it satirizes the whole 'war hero' genre of stories and games we have. this makes it the best war story besides Through Mud and Blood, and Storm of Steel

To be honest this story makes it very clear even in its ending - leaving a player with a question, whether Clyde can even be trusted.

The prologue was amazing, when I played it for the first time I got goosebumps.

“Just look how I rushed through this level” *puts it at 400x speed*

I like "Through mud and Blood" the most and McManus is my favourite character too.😂

Friends in high places is definitely my favourite one.

My ranking: 6) Nothing is Written (Cool but too much stealth) 5) The Runner (Liked the story, while gameplay is just classic shooting) 4) Avanti Savoia (MY GODDAMN COUNTRY FINALLY GETS A CAMPAIGN!!!! Too short though) 3) Storm of Steel (Best level in the game, but one level doesn't make a story.) 2) Friends in High Places (Cause I love flying!!!!!) 1) Through Mud and Blood (Tank, great narrative, fun optional stealth, tanks. The final section where you fight two waves of German tanks and BF's iconic theme plays in the background is just awesome.)

My ranking of all operations in Bf1 (Including DLC) Normal operations: 9. Brusilov offensive Too hard to progress at ,especially Galicia. Sniper Paradise. 8. Iron walls Beautiful maps, but very unbalanced for the Italians. Really hard to progress. But not as annoying as Brusilov offensive. 7. Red tide Probably one of the funniest operations to play on , but at the same time very frustrating, especially for the Red army. Pretty hard to advance on, but it's possible. 6. Kaiserschlacht Very easy operation, which is good sometimes, but I slightly prefer most other operations majority of the time 5. Beyond the Marne A bit campy, but still a good operation. Excellent vehicle action and pretty good long range gameplay. 4. Conquer Hell Very hard to progress on, but its very fun to play on those hectic objectives and blasting away with a shotgun or spraying with a Smg or Lmg is quite satisfying. Nice maps. 3. Oil of empires Hard operation, but has good long range gameplay, good vehicle and infantry gameplay. Good in all areas, but it's slightly longer than most operations, which can be pretty boring if you are playing on a bad team trying to advance 2. Gallipoli I don't really know why I like this operation so much. Its one of the harder ones, but its still fun! Good maps. 1. Devil's anvil Nuff said Shock operations: 1. River Somme Fun in the trenches. The most authentic SO. 2. Lupkőw pass Pretty fun to play on, works with all playstyles. 3. Zeebrugge A bit linear, but I like Zeebrugge as map, and it has perfect naval combat 4. Prise de tahure Hard to advance on, but brings the adrenaline levels through the roof. 5. Giants shadow Dont like Giants shadow as a map so I dislike this SO.

The runner was so amazing. The relationship between a fan and his role model is so relatable, and I love how the man left himself to die for a kid who wanted to be like him. The expressions on the characters are also so real.

It was a shame he didn’t mention the cutscenes at the end of storm of steel, it’s easily the most memorable and important moment in the entire campaign, which is that every soldier is a human being with stories and emotions, and that compassion can come at any moment no matter how grave.

the prologue was so amazing and really set the tone that in WW1 a person's life was nothing more than a number and that men were getting cut down in their hundreds within minutes, only for the next 4 war stories to be literal superman missions where you're killing whole armies by yourself, smh.

I disagree, avanti savoia is a pretty good mission although it is unrealistic. I do value your opinion

I feel like the world powers from WW1 and the axis from WW2 should have there story's be shared and remembered then being forgotten despite how much shit they have caused we shouldn't shat on there honor or how they fought, lived, sacrificed and died nothing should be left and forgotten but remembered, honored and shared.

Actually, I feel that the Avanti Soveia (I don't know how to spell it) was the *best* mission out of all of them, the Runner a close second. I don't know, but I'm just a sucker for war stories where a character dies and it feels natural, not forced.

The war story introduction was definitely the best, threw you into the immersions right away, I carried that feeling into multiplayer and I feel like that’s just what BFV is missing, that feeling :/

Agreed with everything agreed with except Friends in High places. Easily number one for me for story.

My favorite war story was the one with Edwards that one hit me in the feels and it was just so awesome

Best war story for me is The Runner just because of that last cutscene it’s literally the best cutscene in BF1 and you can feel it when watching it

6:10 as a Kiwi who's great granddad fought in Gallipoli this made me me laugh so fucking hard.

I do really hate how all his thumbnails are clickbate, plus how he plays the campaigns on easy. If you played on hard like everyone else. You will see some missions are super fun (like Sinai desert)

I died a couple of times trying to do the commander part of the mission both doing stealth and on hard.

I started playing a while ago and the prologue did exactly what he described. It really shows you the perspective of the great war

I loved all the missions but I have to say my least favorite is definitely nothing is written, because it was so anti climactic as a final chapter, and my favorites where either avanti savoia or the runner, because they were so emotional and as wholesome as war can be.

I agree Cauz the final level was the most FUCKING BAD ASS PART

The intro gives me the chills every time

I kinda liked all the war stories, but the final cinematic takes the cake of best visual yet. Its like a trailer about itself. I love that last one, and the dialogue is really emotional in my opinion.

I really hope, that BFV will make better war stories, cause all concept is, I agree, really nice. My list is almost the same, I agree, that Prologue, as a introduction to whole game before start a main menu was an great idea (only Avanti Savoila is higher for me, than Nothing is Written, cause in NIS you just playing like an assassin).

I liked the map in the first story because I thought the look and movement of the grass was cool and loved how beautiful the mountains looked

That scene where zara is laying in the sand as the villan all of the sudden gets onto her rubs me the wrong way because at first I thought that he was gonna "violate" Zara. I still think that too this day and wished that scene was animated in a different way so It would not look like something else

I did like the prologue it felt real almost as if I was there. It showed the horror of war. This war had many brave men who risked there life to end the war. This war should not be forgotten.

i love the the prolog its actually fun when its just short and I love the exit prolog
