I've been spoiled going to Great America since I was a kid. I have tickets for Fiesta Texas in a few months, so I'm really excited to try a new park, especially one that's also rated so highly.

Now that we know SFGAmerica is getting a flat this year to hold over till there 50th anniversary, what do think they are going to get?

Really interesting list, everyone has some wildly different opinions on Six Flags. Magic Mountain is easily #1 in my book (worlds best coaster collection, super clean and beautiful, fantastic ride operations, open year round, etc), with Fiesta and Great America following, then St Louis and Great Adventure after that. Over Texas is my home park so I have too many qualms there but it’s special in its own way.

SFOG is my home SF park and they have a huge diversity of roller coasters. It’s considered one of SF’s favorite parks in general and the best of the original 3 parks SF built themselves. My only wish is that the park gets more investments moving forward roller coaster wise and adds an RMC Raptor for 2026. Since as a Georgian, I want to experience a true single rail coaster by not counting Kid Flash as one of them.

I feel so privileged to live an hour from fiesta Texas. Now that I’ve been to more six flags parks, fiesta Texas feels like a completely different park

Out of the two (operating) Six Flags parks I’ve been to, I’ve gotta say there is almost a night and day difference between the energy at Great Adventure and America. As it’s my home park, America is starting to pick up, but there’s still a ways to go before it’s considered a worthwhile destination.

I just got back from a quick stop at America on my home from a trip to VA cause why not I have a pass. The park is exponentially better than my stop last year. Maybe it was just the day. But nearly all the rides were open; last time maybe half were and the attempt to go before that well I showed up and the park just didn’t open that day. The park looked nice better. There were actual scare actors this year. It was a bit more kid friendly than SFGAd was for Fright Fest but I don’t mind that. Operations were still an issue but at least this time they didn’t have the hour long waits with one train ops for every ride. It was only 1-2 train waits so they didn’t need the two trains and I don’t think they could actually handle two trains anyways. But compared to last year massive improvement. Again some of it is a day to day issue, but I can still see the improvement

SFMM is one of *VERY* few things that So Cal gets correct. We need a giga at Magic Mountain if not a stratacoaster. Two of the worst coasters ever built (at SFMM!) were Flashback, which made me painfully aware of my cervical and lumbar vertebrae; and Psyclone, which felt like getting dropped down a rocky hill in a wooden barrel.

From someone who has never been to any Six Flags parks my most wanted one to visit would be Magic Mountain, followed by Great Adventure, and either Great America or Fiesta going for 3rd/4th

Just got to fiesta Texas this last Sunday. It’s my first six flags park as well. It leaves the rest of them with a lot to live up to.

Idk if this could all be hype, but I really enjoy Kingda Ka in the front row. The sheer speed of the wind rushing at your face going 100+ mph is crazy to me. I understand El Toro because I originally had it over Kingda Ka, but after reride, it is my favorite there, my 2nd all time favorite, Fury 325 being #1.

Yes, I agree with you about Apocalypse being looked over at Magic Mountain. It is a very great ride that I also looked over before I road it!

@@TP_Recommendations Six Flags America is orders of magnitude better. Frontier City isn't even comically bad. It's just bad. And due to the terrible operations the only thing I got to ride was the arrow shuttle loop. Everything else had a line of over 1 hour. I really wanted to ride the Schwarzkopf looping star, which looked really good, but that line looked like it was going to be 2 hours.

We're driving down to Rodeo from HoliWood Nights... Only got to experience half of Fiesta Texas last year, due to a huge storm, but, they opened a few rides up that night, including Woman Woman. Not sure how we lived through that many rides in a row. I agree, completely with your top 3 in the chain.

I’d put great adventure above Gam but I fully agree about SFFT. I adore that park.

I’ve been to all of them in the United States. I still need to get to La Ronde and Six Flags Mexico. Personally, I enjoyed all of them. 1. Six Flags Fiesta Texas 2. Six Flags Magic Mountain 3. @TimeWarperr-nq4sb Like I said, I enjoyed every Six Flags park I’ve been to. However, the overall experience at Fiesta Texas was just unbelievable! The staff was very friendly, the park was beautiful, and while they don’t have the best collection of coasters, they have a very solid little lineup! As for Six Flags St. Louis, I actually debated on whether I rank it or Frontier City higher. For thrills, I would definitely pick Six Flags St. Louis, but Frontier City had a very charming atmosphere. But while there’s definitely more thrills at SFSL than FC, it just doesn’t stack up to many of the other parks’ coaster lineups. Mr. Freeze: Reverse Blast was a fantastic launch coaster though and the Boss was a very interesting wooden coaster!

Over Georgia has great rides but has the worst and rudest employees

Also I can’t put great adventure past 4 until they make the lockers free and don’t mandate it for small things. Especially with Ka, Toro, Jersey devil, and joker

My favorite coaster in the chain is X2 hands down, however I haven't been on El Toro yet.

Went to Magic Mountain a couple days before Thanksgiving of 2023. Viper closed. Ninja closed. Superman closed. X2 closed. Single train operations on just about everything else. Very disappointing. This park used to rock.

Magic Mountain is my current home park, when I was growing up, Over Texas and Great America in Gurnee, IL were the home parks so it's been a long time since I've been to them and St. Louis. That said I'll only currently speak about Magic Mountain. The park has definitely had a bit of trouble with management in recent years, but I think it's finally on the right track. They are doing a lot of landscaping and park improvement including the solar project which will have a bunch of long term positives. The coaster lineup is great out here. It's an embarrassment of riches as the saying goes but you rightfully pointed out there is a fair amount of time when a lot of rides aren't in operation. That will hopefully be changing with the retracking of Apocalypse being done soon and the refurbishments to Ninja as well. The current rumor is that the next big attractions will be the return of the Sky Tower (badly needed) and that the park will be getting a Power Splash either late 2024 or for 2025. A new high capacity water ride would be an amazing addition for the park, especially if they went with the "Giga" variety of Power Splash. We'll see what pans out, but my prediction is still that 2028 will be a huge year for Magic Mountain in terms of new attractions. I would venture to say world record-breaking isn't out of the question. And final side note, I totally agree with you about Whizzer at Great America. It's such a fun, kind of quirky ride that people should definitely not sleep on.

If Darien Lake wants a promising future, then Six Flags needs to purchase it from EPR Properties so they can improve on it more, basically, Six Flags is renting Darien Lake and Frontier City and can only do what EPR Properties tells them to do.

Been to 10 of the 15 Six Flags parks. But I've also been to Walibi Belgium and Walibi Holland which are former six flags parks. How I rank them is as follows: 1. Six Flags Magic Mountain- Sorry but this is the best overall coaster collection not named Cedar Point. With X2, Twisted Colossus, Tatsu, Wonder Woman (Runs better than Jersey Devil), Full Throttle, Apocalypse (Very underrated GCI), Batman (This and the one at OG are the best) and West Coast Racers. Operations were better pre-covid but the line-up is so deep. 2. Six Flags Fiesta Texas- Extremely well run- best in chain. Great top 2 (2 RMC's). The Dive is the best Dive I've been on. They have the best floorless as well. 3. Six Flags Great America- Just a solid park. Only lacks the standout coaster which would be Goliath if it were longer. Generally very busy park. Great design. 4. Six Flags Great Adventure- El Toro is the best coaster at a Six Flags Park. Ka, and Jersey Devil are nice #2 & #3. I don't expect the super boomerang to beat those 2. 5. Six Flags Over Georgia- Very solid overall coaster line-up. Operations can be hit and miss. 6. Six Flags St. Louis- Great setting. Needs a stand-out coaster but has a bunch of good supporting coasters. 7. Six Flags New England- Odd layout. Busy busy busy when I visited. Top 2 not as good as advertised. I actually prefer TC over WC which dies that last lap. Much better intamins than Superman. 8. Six Flags Over Texas- last time I went to this park was 2019. It was a train wreck in terms of operations. I've heard they have improved but I haven't been back. 9. Six Flags America- pretty much what you said 10. Six Flags Discovery Kingdom- Joker is a lower tier RMC, only beating NTG. Operations aren't good in this park. I generally find myself wanting to leave and go to CGA. Of the 5 I haven't been to Mexico looks to be the best one, although I'm sure Frontier City and Great Escape are going to be fine for what they are.

I think a Boss RMC and a unique standout coaster at STL would give it the potential to be in many peoples top 5 six flags parks since most people rank it fairly low even tho that’s my home park(if 2 hours away counts lol)

I don't want to oversell X2 because I want you to appreciate it as it is when you get to ride it. But to me it's the best coaster in the chain. Yes, over El Toro. And while Magic Mountain's tallest coasters aren't as impressive as they should be, I would still argue that the park has the best coaster collection in the chain. It's my favorite Six Flags park but that comes with a big caveat. I typically prefer theme parks over amusement parks and I definitely don't count this chain as operating theme parks for the most part despite how they label themselves. But Fiesta Texas is just a better overall park than Magic Mountain objectively speaking. It has great atmosphere and very good coasters and the best operations in the chain. But the reason I still give the win to Magic Mountain is that ultimately every Six Flags park is still focused on the coasters and so I think their coaster collection carries them. Great America and Adventure are both very good (though I do agree that Great America is quite a bit better than Great Adventure) but I don't think either of those parks comes close to Magic Mountain when it comes to their coasters, or their setting for that matter.

Magic mountain is my home park. I'm sad that you were not able to ride x2 it really is a wild ride. But ya magic mountain has had a bunch of maintenance issues with their coasters. Went back in June and almost half of the coasters were closed. That park really needs some love.

You're missing two of the best coasters at Magic Mountain. Don't underestimate Full Throttle - it hits different from any other Premier coasters (except it unfortunately has the same trains) and it's just a GREAT, FUN TIME. And X2... My man.... Words don't do that thing justice.

I was just at six flags great adventure last weekend and the jersey devil was definitely my favorite!!! But unfortunately I did not get to ride el toro or kingda ka. But I still had a great time there!!!

1:58 Six Flags Darien Lake could also be paired with the American side of Niagara Falls which even has its own amusement park now.

You need to go to the Texas one and go on the new rides.

I've only been to 1 six flags park, which is gadv, but I could really see superman being the best ride in the chain, even with it's current restraints. But if it still had the t bars I bet a lot more people would have it as the best coaster in the chain. It's a long ride, there's a lot of airtime, and it looks like good ejector for the most part, and the setting is pretty cool looking.

SFSL has always been one of my favorite parks (for the reasons mentioned in your video), and will therefore always be ranked much higher on my list versus most people's list. I visited this past summer once again (not since 2008), and was once again reminded of that. I think it is a beautiful park with a lot of nostalgic charm and it seemed to be maintained well (I was very impressed with my overall experience and had a great day). I have to mention that I do not understand why Ninja gets SO MUCH hate. I rode it twice (in the front and back rows), and it was not bad at all. Yes, it's your typical Arrow/Vekoma, but I thought it was fine (considering its age and the manufacturers). Carolina Cyclone is bad and Kong is really bad but Ninja ... not so much.

I can’t put over Georgia that high those operations are abismal. I’m a west coast guy and x2 is my number 2 overall magic mountain is easily my favorite six flags park but i understand

I’m praying that happens in the near future, I’ve only been to STL and Discovery Kingdom but it seems a lot of people feel that a Boss RMC and a new unique signature coaster would bring STL way up, I’ve been to STL like 5 or 6 times since 2012 and discovery kingdom once, although the Joker was closed and I’ve heard that’s the best coaster there 😕 so I don’t think I can fairly compare the 2 yet

I still haven't been on El Toro because the one time I went in 2020 it valleyed in the morning and never opened. At least not until I had left. I haven't ridden Jersey Devil because it wasn't even built then. That said, Nitro and Kingda Ka, plus Bizarro/Medusa, Superman, and Batman were a very very solid lineup of coasters by themselves. I've always loved Great America since it was my home park, and I still think it has the best Batman, not Over Georgia. And Raging Bull doesn't get nearly enough love. Also, if Intamin did a bulk discount on trains, maybe Six Flags could get like 6 of the new hyper trains for the Superman rides.

I've only been to 3. St. Louis was my home park when I was in elementary school. Batman, Screamin' Eagle, & Mr. Freeze were my favorite. New England & Lake Compounce are my home parks now. I honestly have a bad day almost every time I've went to NE. The park has 5 rides I enjoy and the rest hurt or are janky or just plain boring; the five: Superman, Wicked Cyclone, Pandemonium, Joker, & Blizzard River. The park's always packed, the ride ops were not very good, the layout is bad with so much walking, dirty, and the park just has a vibe I despise. Great Adv. is my 3rd park. By about a mile this is my favorite of the 3. There's just so much to offer and the setting is great. I felt like the park handles crowds well and there was just so much to ride. I'd put it over Hershey and below KI & CP for best parks I've been to.

How you gonna mention SFOG and not mention the 3rd best coaster on the planet the Dahlonega Mine Train

Ninja and SFSL is definitely not the greatest coaster out there. But the last 6-7 times I’ve ridden it, it hasn’t been super rough. Interestingly all those rides where in the front row of the last car. Next time you are there try it in that row and let me know if I’m just getting lucky rides!!

9:13AM Z Man 2021, I haven’t had the chance to ride El Toro, but it looks like it has the potential to be the best. For now I’ll have to go with The Old Texas Giant. Which is now (defunct) and is now New Texas Giant.

SFOT IS AMAZINGGGGGG

Six Flags St Louis since 2008 has gone to crap. I was just there & the majority of rides were closed & most of the slides at Hurricane harbor were closed. They can't afford the proper staff is what they said.. Yet they charge $19 for a burger. I HIGHLY SUGGEST GOING TO A DIFF ONE until they get their nonsense together. No characters were walking around for the kids either. Worst experience..

It has A ton of stuff for younger And Older folks. My favorite The Monster Plantation endures. The old fashioned cars. And 4 top notch Water Rides!! Not to mention the view when you ARE up high is ATLANTA. (Though I am partial) which has a gorgeous skyline -night or day!! Operations may be hit or miss but realistically, even when we are in a bad mood in Ga. we are still @ 50 percent more polite by nature than a New Yorker on their best day. Maybe it’s the weather--I’d be cranky too if it snowed here from October-May..

If you think wicked cyclone and superman at six flags new England are the best 1 - 2 punch in the whole chain, you must be high

Fiesta Texas is a fun park and I go there every year but they have a big time ride closure problem. You complaining about Magic Mountain closures which is not all that often considered I live in Southern California but Fiesta closes rides all the time. But I’m sure you are probably just a east coaster hating on the west for our superior looks and lives 😉😜

I've only ever been to one, Six Flags St. Louis. It's not the best. But it's still pretty good. But having a batman clone as a #2. That's sad. It's still a good ride. But it's still sad. Mr Freeze is obviously #1. And to be frank. I never even got the chance to ride The Boss. I also don't get the hype for American Thunder. It gave zero to no airtime. Overrated in my opinion. My opinion though.

You’re not missing crap at Frontier City. Trust me. It’s my home park, and it’s horrible.

IMO, you ranked SFMM too high. It should be ranked below SFOT, SFOG and maybe SFSTL. Despite its coaster collection, the park is THAT BAD! Horrible operations, dead atmosphere, abandoned buildings, nearly non-existent flat rides, and possibly the ugliest theme park overall. Oh and did I mention horrible operations?! So awful, it deserves a second mention. SFMM makes me ashamed to be a theme park / roller coaster enthusiast.

Sfmm is my home park and you're a total hater! Lol x2 is the best ride at the park or #2 when twisted colossus does not duel which is 95% of the time. I went to fiesta texas this past August and I loooove the park. Even tho wonder women was close. 😢

Of all the ones I've been to, my favorite is Six Flags Magic Mountain, followed by Six Flags Great America, Six Flags Over Texas, Six Flags Over Georgia, Six Flags New England, and Six Flags America. I've also been to Six Flags Fiesta Texas, but my visit there in March of 2013 was among the worst visits to a theme park I've ever experienced due to long lines, the waterpark being closed, and Iron Rattler not being opened yet. That's not necessarily the parks' fault as much as it is mine, so I am not comfortable placing that park at the very bottom of the list as a result, but I still can't rate it very high because of my experience. For those reasons, I won't be placing that park in this rank until I revisit it within a year or two.

Hot take, I enjoyed over texas way more then Fiesta... Fiesta has the worst Six Flags ADA program in the chain (if not all theme parks that offer them).

@@tonyreyna1067 It IS TRUE (in my experience) when comparing Fiesta to Chicago, St. Louis, & Over Texas along with SeaWorld/Dolly/Disney. I haven't used the ADA program at any of the others so their "could" be worst ones I guess. I am specifically referring to ADA for kids with Autism. many of the rides offered no "out of line waiting" such as the brand new dive coaster which also forced us to go through the pre-show, something that should have been an option for a child with autism. The entire reason kids with autism need ADA is so they don't have to wait in the actual line. Besides that issue my main complain was that they forced you to go up the exit ramps for most rides to get your sheet signed, they would then hold on to the sheet until your wait (45min-hour or whatever it was for the day) was over. Every other Six Flags lets you ride immediately then you have to wait the 45mins or whatever until you can ride the next ride. I understand Fiesta wanting to do this to minimize people that abuse the system, but since they require people to use an IBCCES Accessibility Card that shouldn't be an issue anymore. It made our days at Fiesta a headache to be honest, we ended up waiting in the regular lines for half of the stuff as it wasn't an extremely busy day anyway. I was just disappointed at how bad it was at Fiesta after how good every other Six Flags has been with autism. Not to mention it was right after they closed Wonder Woman so I was upset about that on top of it.

Trash list. When you started the video off saying Magic Mountain isn’t in your top 3, I knew it was going to be a biased or incompetent . You say you visited Magic Mountain but didn’t ride X2.. seems like you should probably ride one of Magic Mountains or any Six Flags park’s top 2 rides before creating a list like this…

Magic Mountain is absolutely the best park. It has the second best coaster line up in the States. My other favorite Six Flags parks are Great America, Great Adventure, Fiesta Texas, Over Texas and Over Georgia. I’ve been to all the Six Flags parks and those are my favorites
