Edit: Texas’s module makes them 4 DP cheaper to deploy. So it turns my 12 Cost Texas into an 8 cost… The same cost as fang but with much higher stats…

Makes her even more miserable, certain enemies has flat percentage dmg reduction from physical and arts damage (The little shit from chp 9 onward), so Franka's damage still got reduced because it still count as physical damage.

I feel like Lappland could be put in B tier because she does actually deal pretty decent damage and while silence is niche, being able to stop things like the originium slugs is really good in some stages. Not to mention Hyperglyph seems to be adding more and more stages where silence is a good thing to have and whith the chance of her getting a module in the future she seems to be above most of her peers in C tier. But that's just my opinion.

Love seeing that "useful in the early game" argument. In the super early game, even Gravel can be the dps!

tbf though beginner in almost any gacha game is playing the game on hardest difficulty. you are trying to learn the game but have to learn from a meta that you cannot employ with a tiny starting roster, yet still have to do maps that assume you have everything. you are faced with using the most inefficient methods to solve small and large problems that don't get explanation because veteran accounts play with different kits. a beginner tier list would cover what ops you can substitute with for strategies under the assumption that you have nothing else (so its probably useless for everyone else)

Amazing how even with Devs constantly creating enemies with effects immune to Silence, Lappland remains one of the most useful 5 stars to have. - Her constant silencing trivializes certain mechanics in events. - Her damage is pretty decent - She hasn't gained a Module yet, so chances are she'll get even better in the future

​@@GranMajit can be very useful if you have Lappland doing range attacks onto a different lane, and the enemies will be walking out of her range before getting into the range of a big damage dealer who wants them to be silenced in order to do big damage, such as those dudes with refraction. But at the same time, 7 seconds is already quite long, just getting 1 extra second would be terrible. But, if she gets plus attack, thats increased 180% and then doubled when her S2 is active, so could still be nice to have. Not as nice as on an AA sniper or mech accord caster, but nice.

@@Santisima_Trinidad it really depends how lord base module would changes the class. If it removes the 80% range damage that would be redundant since a lot of lord ops had skill that disabled that downside. The only thing I can imagine instead is that melee attacks deal extra damage when blocking. That would make lord range cycle a little bit cleaner.

It's interesting to compare units from the beginning of the game with current units and see the difference between what the Devs expected the game to be and how it ended up being.

Sora got power crept so hard by Skadi alter not even "why not both" can work. Inspire doesnt stack, and If you need 2 areas of inspire buff, you just use the seaborn, and the seaborn is better than Sora in both buff amount and versatility because you can place it on ground tiles which means you are less restricted on where the buff is able to cover, and its immortal so you don't have to worry about it getting sniped. Literally the only reason you would ever use Sora when you have a built skadi alter is to buff Skadi alters attack so skadi alters buff is stronger, and at that point you're doing omega cope. At least with Chen and Irene you might want 2 lanes to have the burst damage, and Chen buffs Irenes SP recovery so there's advantages.

Skyfire has two things people completely overlook and it always amuses me. 1. her skill 2 has the weirdest release operator scaling ever, without M3 the skill is useless, while at M3 she can suddenly stun reliably because her stun duration increases by 500%!!! 2. her talent usually gets ignored, but if you take it into account she is the second highest dps aoe caster behind Dusk I get that she is an aoe caster etc and she will never be great, but I find it funny how people constantly underestimate her because of her weird scaling and overlooked talent. She is certainly better than Gitano. xD

This is actually a genuinely good tierlist video. I've been using ifrit alot for her res debuff, and her range doesnt stunt her usage.

Why place them all on the same tier list which will eventually include gummy? It's like looking at the sky, no matter how many operatoŕs are born, they'll never leave trash tier or even dream of getting closer to GUMMY TIER if they're on the same tier list, letters cannot describe such a heavenly difference when gummy is included on the package.

I really appreciate your videos. I'm too lazy to do a ton of research on the few gacha games I play, so most of the time I pick out operators that have an interesting mechanic or look good on paper. It's especially confusing when I get stuck on an event and start looking up KZread guides for help with a strategy, and I end up putting a lot of resources into an operator I never use again. Since usually I'm outside damage ranges from being a lower potential, or not having a skill maxed out. And I inevitably end up taking pieces from a bunch of different strategies and plug in the operators I do have anyways. Your videos have saved me a lot of time and materials. Plus they're always super funny. The only change I would argue for is moving up Kroos. Like you mentioned, she is a staple in other game modes. Even despite her RNG skill, it hits often enough that she does very consistent damage even against a number of 5* operators, plus the low DP cost makes her very flexibly slot into any strategy without rearranging your vanguards for better DP generation. A lot of other operators aren't nearly as flexible. That being said, i obviously don't have as much experience or insight into the game. I just know that the times I do have more snipers than Chalter in my squad, I don't mind switching out one or more for Kroos.

Looking through your tier list top to bottom have a few comments/contentions; Warfarin I would put up is S tier since you have Philly there as well. Her skill 1 is some solid AFK burst healing and her talent that grants +2 SP to her and an ally every time an enemy dies in range is really good. Not only can it compare/exceed Philly's SP talent it works for defensive/offensive skills, which Philly does NOT buff. Also PS Philly isn't a 30% faster charger as not only does she only work on Auto-recovery skills she doesn't stack with operators like Mostima or Suzaran. Not sure if I would move Hoshi or not, but IMO her biggest use is her counter damage on S2. Not so much being immortal, but potentially countering fast attack and/or global range enemies. Those Seaborn Urchins and Armourless Assassin Snipers especially get hard cucked by her. Incredibly biased (as apparently last year she was my most used OP) if Texas is A Tier Zima should be at least B or even A as well. She can be just as much of a DP saver as Texas depending on squad comp/module level and she is incredibly tanky. Like can survive some initial enemies that just have Texas for takeout. Also do note that outside of some insane Siege/Saga murder Zima/Texas do actually generate DP better than their 6* counterparts. 12F. I mean having a coin-flip to not get absolutely murdereded by Patriot seems hyper-niche. Especially when you mentioned that Beeswax (heck the ENTIRE archetype), or even an Adreana with Gladia on the field, can just not die 100% of the time and deal actual damage I can't see him past F tier. Siege; Being the worst 6* Vanguard is probably worth more than E Tier. Sure her only niches are AFK or providing extra SP/atk/def to other Vanguards but at least she does something unqiue and has the raw stats to stay relevant. I'd argue she's more useful than all of D tier who's entire use case hinges on you don't have anyone better to use. Sora; I think you underestimate the power of her sleep. Not only is it one of the most powerful and wide range CCs in the game, it also provides some massive healing. My biggest complaint is her RNG talanet. Why make it 50% chance to restore 25/50% SP? Just make it 12/25% SP recovered always instead. Lowlight really likes adding niche/unreliably game mechanics that are just slightly over/under-tuned to compensate. No really, who the fuck designed Supria's entire everything. Do they even Beta-test?

I like that you said "optimal level" instead of max level. Really handing frostleaf a bone here.

I'll admit I'm a simp but Lappland is an incredibly good generalist. Massive ranged arts damage and crowd control allows her to be useful in practically every situation. Maybe her S2 is only a +120% damage as opposed to 3000%, but she synergizes very well with many buffs allowing for consistently impressive uptime. Even if she doesn't have consistent breakout hits, she'll never feel bad or useless on a team.

Finally, silence was appreciated. Great list, I agree almost 100%.

the lappland and stultifera navis bit is too true. Started arknights just recently and had lap at e1lvl80, with her e2 being low priority seeing as the silence did fuck all most of the stages. Then stultifera navis rerun came around and it took me like three stages before raising her to e2lvl60.

Its great to hear a mix of positive and negative thoughts about AK as opposed to a one-sided vid

Yes, SUPAH does often exaggerate things sarcastically and Tectone was actually informative *sometimes*, but overall they were some of the few arknights KZreadrs who pointed out that there ARE operators who have bad, sometimes nearly unusable, mechanics.

In turn getting an increasingly bad rep from knowledgeable players for being the biggest ak channel while not caring about the community established meta.

Surprisingly decent tierlist, and I say that as someone who regularly plays in the niche of only using launch operators, though there are some I disagree with: -Amiya may have 'mid' true damage, but her advantage over other true damage dealers lies in her being a high-tile caster with a huge range during her skill. Pure melee enemies pose no threat to her no matter how high or nasty their attacks may be, she can often outrange ranged enemies that can quickly kill melee-range only true damage ops, and she can still reach enemies that stop on tiles that are out of reach of those melee-range ops, making her quite flexible. Solid A-tier. -Firewatch not only does actually insane levels of damage against (often the much more dangerous) against ranged enemies for a 5-star launch operator, her invisibility also allows her to be placed on tiles that would get any other ranged operator outright killed without the need for other ops to draw away enemy fire, which together can completely trivialize certain stages just on her own. The added aoe nuke from her S2 is just the cherry on top. Easy S-tier for me, and I'd only concede a strong A-tier if people can't get used to her lowest def-targeting. -Hoshi is still one of the best defenders to have if you just want to halt a physical-based enemy, as her s2 lets her have a high-enough passive defense that allows her to easily survive levels of damage that other defenders would need to use active skills for. To my knowledge, the only defender that can match her in this since the game's launch would be Jessica Alter's s1, who needs a lengthy wind-up time when Hoshi can pretty much be helidropped. Also special mentiom to her second module, because as nice as the atk increase and 4-block from her first module is for general content and/or multiblock enemies, the extra def from her second module lets her s2 tank even some of the hardest physical hitting enemies in the game (like Steam Knight), only falling off at high CC levels where atk skyrockets that no defender could keep up. At the very least A-tier, shooting up to S-tier if you have the blocks for both modules. -I've made my feelings clear on Shining in past comments, so I'll just say that she deserves to be in whatever tier that you'll put Nightingale in,. Both can (and both already have dozens of times) trivialize stages where their respective damage types are a big enough threat that other medics fall short, so for me she's also an easy A-tier.

@@SUPAH_SUPAH_SUPAH Is she outclassed by Sussurro? Sure Sussurro has about ~50% more during skill uptime and about ~20% more overall HPS, but her skill can only be used TWICE. When not using her skill Shining has almost twice the HPS. Also she grants an extra 65 Def to allies within range and her skill two also grants a shield with 33% uptime that can eat 300+ HP worth of damage. Actually in most cases skill 2 Shining while having less burst healing can effectively "heal more" than Sussurano via damage prevention and having [almost] twice the off skill HPS.

No way people underestimate Silence, I don't believe it. A medic with global healing before Skalter and Eijalter became a thing. Drone has a good cicle and can be used to burst heal someone in Sil. range, are people drunk? Simply cuz Warfarin (another 5*) has one of the best buffs in the game doesn't make Silence bad.

If an operator isn’t a 6*, meta relevant, or hard counter to a common situation then it may as well not exist to a large portion of the playerbase. There’s probably a substantial amount of people who’d use Shining over Silence for healing on a stage with full arts damage.

Correction: Indra and Vulcan are Operators you can get for free via the “Recruitment Achievement”. This achievement line gifts you two separate selector tickets, both of which giving you the option between Indra and Vulcan. Yes, this is technically semantics because you still have to use Recruitment to get Indra/Vulcan, but unlike Estelle, you are guaranteed to get Indra and Vulcan *eventually* just by doing constant recruitment.

I seriously believe the Myrrh review is a bit unfair because her S1 even at lvl 7 can be a real carry when units are on the verge of death cause it has the potential to heal one unit twice in some situations, as a medic i honestly believe she deserves atleast C tier

I think "insane in some situations but normally just average" (liskarm and especially lappy) should be B-tier, you are putting them with some underwhelming ops that people with a developed account would never use, and that is not the case. Also, I want to defend poor Amiya. True Damage is still True Damage, even if low, and she can do it from range, which is useful sometimes. The abbility also charges pretty fast due to her talent and the range expansion comes in handy in some clears. And yes, it is infuriating and overkill balancing that she undeploys herself after the skill, but normally you are just using the skill on the boss anyway so it doesn't really matter most of the time. She is not good or anything, but she is at least Mid (C), at least above those forgettable 4* that no one out of "4*knights" would use (I'd also like to defend Project Red but she was done dirty by the Fast-Redeploy archetype becoming Black-Ops assassins lately; still think she is more comparable to nearl or firewatch than the rest of ppl on her tier)

Well. Tier list is fun and all. However, due to the very nature of this game sometime the "worst tier" *is the only thing you have.* *Unless you want to sell their kidney to roll for those awesome S tier as soon as possible.*

​​@@CruelestChris as a new no gacha account player this is completely true. I only did a no gacha account as I had too many options in my normal account that doing events slowly became brainless. Now I have to sweat whilst having fang and courier as my only two block vanguards, no lords (missed a lot of free operators) and Flambringer as my helidrop. Ethan is a blessing, that bind makes the impossible possible. Also great review Supah. Seeing how badly some operators got powercrept is always funny.

I remember Myrrh, because I only got AOE medics for the first month or two when I started. I was considering leveling Myrrh for a single target medic, but the friend who got me into the game advised me to just stick with Ansel until I get a good ST medic. The first good one I got was Shining.

Lappland is easily B tier, there is much more to silence than Stultifera Navis and her S2 has good cycling and VERY solid damage for 5*. +Lord archetype is just strong. Hoshiguma module 2 is actually not bad, it makes her much more tanky against enemies like Last Knight - remember, that very few people have Nian, since "limited". My last gripe is Kokodayo - she is STILL useful even after all these years, cut above most 3*. Deserves D tier. PS: if you are already filling "Broken" tier, where are you going to put abominations like Ling, Chalter and others? Unless you are planning to ignore them. ;)

So proud of deepcolor for making D tier, i understand she isnt great, but not being outright bad as a year 1 low rarity operator without a proper niche outside of nicheknights so being D tier in that context is legitimately an accomplishment in my mind, copium or otherwise.

I completely agree with the tier list, but the thing is "situational" stages are or were the reason for them to be in the tier list for the first place. I mean like you said if everybody is a hero there will be no hero. You should just emphasize of either to build it or just nice to have it

silence was my only 5* medic back in the early days when i dont own any 6* healers. only other 4* n 3*. and her drone heals hard carry alot of my events back in the early days. so yes most people won't know the pain of having only 1 good healer. only very very later i finally get shining and nightingale

Shining is honestly pretty good, not gonna write and essay because it’s a bit late, but I’ve found her healing to be really effective

Back when Amiya came out, her true damage was one of the only skills of its kind, there was precious little content in the game that actually NEEDED true damage, and the amount of true damage was therefore seen as appropriate, if not TOO high. That’s probably why they nerfed it.

I don't know if someone has already asked, but do you know how many videos it's gonna take to get through the whole list? Just wanna know how many I can look forward to 😊
