Mario and Rabbids Sparks Of Hope is a FANTASTIC MASTERPIECE

Your opinions dont seem to fail often at being based, good teir list! For the next one, you should rank all of the 1st party games you haven't played based on some weird surface level thing like "how many characters resemble the jardience lady on the box art?" But not tell us that's how your ranking the games.

I get why you put Ultimate just under treasure. In terms of newcomers the game was a bit underwhelming compared to Smash 4, but in terms of being a game itself, there is no other in the series that even comes close. Smash 4 had quantity but not a lot of quality, unlike Ultimate which I feel finds a good balance. Also I’m kinda a World of Light defender, like it’s not Subspace, but it’s still fun, also the change to Spirits wasn’t that big a deal to me. To me, it’s easily a top 5 Switch game. It’s my most played video game of all time for a reason. Great tier list.

I wonder where you would put games like Federation Force or hey pikmin on this scale

Mario 35 not being playable is such a devasty

This was a fun tier list. With many expected and unexpected placement I was glue to my seat. And after watching nearly all your trash or treasure this was kinda of a sweet prize to go along with it. Now all we have to do is wait for the Sparks of Hope retrospective in 2025!

You are so real for the Treasure Tracker ranking. It is SO underrated and was genuinely such a fun time. Also Mario Odyssey is my favorite Mario game of all time to so I am happy you gave it love Also Kirby and the Forgotten Land and Mario Wonder are fantastic I adore them

i enjoyed the game but i think it's a good example of having too much content. Personally Yoshi's Crafted World is a game where i want to do everything and when that stops being fun i dislike the whole game for it because i don't want to skip the 100%

You and I kinda differ on Smash. I'll say when it comes to Smash 4, it did have more exciting newcomers. The problem though I had with the game was how much of the single player content was either removed, or flat out butchered. I got the game at launch, played it till I unlocked all the characters and stages, then beat all the Event Matches, and I put the game down and never looked back. I didn't care. And the DLC didn't revitalize my interest in the game. I left the game feeling nothing. I do miss the trophies, but Smash 4 failed me in the sense that it didn't have shit to do, or much to do that I cared about. Classic Mode was run through a meat grinder, much of the "content" felt like glorified Multi-Man Melee romps, Break the Targets was made into a lazy Angry Birds clone, and the less I say about that disgrace Smash Tour the better. I wanted an adventure mode, it was promised to be in the game, but because Sakurai didn't want the cutscenes leaked, he decided against including a story mode, which really stung. I spent the better part of three years anticipating the game, only to end up being very letdown by the end product. In fact, I probably wouldn't have bought the game if I knew how much they screwed up when it came to the single player content. Smash Ultimate on the other hand, I'll say is better than Smash 4. I do wish it had the trophies, because the spirits while neat, it's just not the same. And Ultimate's certainly got quite a lot of content, but in bringing everyone in, they had to cut some things out. Like Break the Targets is absent from Ultimate, there's not really any quick mini-games like 64, Melee, and Brawl had in between the Classic Mode aside from that Race to the Finish style game. It didn't even include a Boss Rush mode. And then, World of Light, a far cry from the magnificent Subspace Emissary. I would've killed to have a proper story mode/campaign, but it was just a repetitive and tedious romp that dragged on way too long. And I was so hyped for this mode, expecting some grandiose story mode that felt like it's own game within the game like Subspace Emissary. I wasn't a fan of the DLC, though Piranha Plant was lit. It felt so predictable, like they were pulling from popular series, and it was mostly either fighting game icons, or anime sword fighters. And as someone who enjoys "Cereal box" characters, I wasn't a fan of picks like Hero, Terry, Byleth, etc. I wanted characters like Rayman, Magolor, Tails, Mallow, Geno, and Crash to show up as newcomers. The only DLC picks aside from Piranha Plant that I loved were Banjo & Kazooie and Min-Min to a smaller degree. And I wanted the DLC to be akin to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe's DLC, where it adds more besides a new fighter and stage, like maybe bring back a Melee-style adventure mode, how about Break the Targets, or some of Melee's mini-games? I just wanted more to do in the game, more single player content rather than have it be seen as an afterthought. Smash peaked for me with Brawl. And as someone who doesn't play Smash competitively, I loved Brawl's slower gameplay, it still felt like Smash Bros., and I loved how much more wackier it felt as opposed to balanced. Yeah, the tripping mechanic is annoying, but everything else? Basically a nearly perfect game in my eyes. Brawl is my most played Wii game and my favorite game on the Wii. It had everything I loved about Smash Bros., a great roster of characters, excellent fan-service, fun gameplay, loads of single player content and fun little extras to explore, and of course, the Subspace Emissary and those cutscenes I loved watching back in the day. My overall rankings for Smash Bros. go as followed: Brawl > Melee > Ultimate > 64 > Smash 4. Sorry I'm feeling up your comment section with essay length comments, but I'm a pretty talkative Grumpus, and I do have quite a lot to say. Also, I love to talk and share my love for something I enjoy with others. :)

Fire emblem kinda deserves the reps it gets I know I sound Insane, but hear me out For a franchise like Kirby, you have one protagonist For a franchise like Metroid, you have one protagonists (well, ignoring that one) In fire emblem, each game takes place in a different universe, you can’t just add marth and call it a day, cause he’s only protagonist in two games So I feel like 6 reps (Lucina and chrom are echos) is fair

If that’s true then why are three of the reps (Robin, Lucina, Chrom) from Awakening? Also, the franchise itself is not really why people hate the characters, it’s because they play way too similar to each other

@@CullenWickham have to disagree with both points First of all, lucina and chrom are echo fighters who probably took very little time to develop And awakening was considered the saviour of fire emblem at its time, And its not like Lucina and chrom are side characters, they’re in a trio with robin as main protagonists And I have to disagree with the unique part So robin, byleth and corrin are all considered unique I don’t get why ike isn’t, he plays way differently to marth with his heavy, slower swings Chrom and Lucina are echos The only similar two are marth and Roy, and they were sort of forced to bring Roy back cause “everyone is here” Just the fact they all have swords doesn’t make them the same

Is it me or is that after the hype, Mario Wonder is getting some hate because some say the game felt rushed 😅 Personally, it’s one of my favorite games ever and sure the bosses suck aside from the final one but everything else is WONDERFUL ❤❤ Also there is some games on this tier list, i need to play. This is a great tier list, but I do respect your opinion on Mario + Rabbids, I definitely DO NOT like the Rabbids, & I think you could've included more third party games since you included Bayonetta (SEGA), PAC Man 99 (Bandi Namco), and Tetris 99 (The Tetris Company)

I'll explain why I defend Skyward Sword HD and give the remaster a bit of a pass. Skyward Sword was the easiest Zelda game to dislike, for stuff like motion controls, too many tutorials, Fi not shutting up and being this game's version of Navi, or Slippy Toad. While the HD version doesn't revamp the game's art style, or provides additional content, it does provide some very welcome changes that put this game in a more positive light. People criticized this game for the motion controls, called it the worst Zelda game, and some I saw said the series was dead to them because Nintendo was gonna turn Zelda into Wii Sports essentially. Having traditional button controls is a godsend, it makes Skyward Sword a much more approachable game. I think having the original Wii game be so reliant on motion controls did the game a disservice. It was 2011, the novelty of the Wii's innovation had worn off, and people wrote motion controls as some dumb "waggle gimmick". And Zelda's not a series that I feel meshes with motion controls. Twilight Princess has a GameCube and Wii version, and for the few that got to play both versions, many say the GameCube version is the best version. It also streamlines dialogue and tutorials, Fi doesn't appear nearly as often, so she's not nearly as despised in the HD version, and you don't have to deal with repeating item descriptions. It needed a remaster, and while I think it could've been better, this is the definitive way to experience this game. The thing was the amiibo is scummy, and I certainly wasn't a fan of it, even if the function ain't all that important in hindsight. It is a little steep in price, but I find this re-release to have been necessary. Skyward Sword deserved a second chance to shine, and while the HD version has its flaws, it is the best way to play the game. But I will knock some points off for the tasteless slander on Super Mario 64. It's a collection of two fantastic Mario games and Super Mario Sunshine, and for praising that garbage game Yoshi's Crafted World. Might need to lay off those Wonder Mushrooms. 😛Killer start to 2024! 33:00 while i agree that the Pokemon franchise has been going downhill in the Switch generation. I just don't see it setting presidents for Nintendo because the IP is split between 4* companies. Nintendo could have said no to the game being published but legally speaking they propably don't even have that power.

You should really play the Xenoblade Chronicles games. All except for maybe 2 are all platinum treasures. I also kind of disagree with your TOTK placement. To me, it is treasure, but not platinum treasure.

I also do not exactly 100% love TOTK. I still think that it is a great game, but nowhere near as good as most people make it out to be. There are some glaring story issues, and the game quickly became repetitive. So, I guess I am not qualified to be a Zelda fan.
