Rab Douglas was a nice guy, but if Martin O'Neill could sign even a decent level of keeper, we'd have won 5 league titles and possibly a UEFA Cup. Douglas was had his moments, but not a huge weak link in an otherwise great team.

Douglas was utter mince. We got to Seville despite him, not because of him. Not only did he lose us Seville but there was also a 3-3 Rangers game where all goals were howlers. He clearly couldn’t handle the big games. I’ve never felt so repeatedly let down by a Celtic player.

Joe Hart was a really nice guy and he bought into the club culture. I would not say he was a great keeper. He never commanded his area. He rarely came off his line to pick out crosses even though the guy was what? 6ft 4 or there abouts. Like the big man but a great keeper? Nah.

It’s so hard to choose between Boruc and Forster. When Forster came in on loan he was good. We signed him and he was great from then on. He came back and was still great. Boruc had that really dodgy spell but when he was on form I swear he was one of the top 10 GK’s in Europe at the time. He was unreal.

if you were growing up in the 90s, then you know how privileged we've been since big Rab left. my dad's of the opinion that Forster, Boruc, Gordon and Hart are the 4 best goalies of his lifetime....and he is 70 now. admittedly, Gould had one great season at a vital time, but jeez, the 90s were horrible. and the 80s and 70s weren't thaaat much better.

Yeah, I just said something similar. Bonner/Marshall/Muggleton/Kerr/Gould/Kharine. Utter mince. Bonner was way past his best by then and even then I always thought he was overrated in the first place. Rangers had Woods/Goram/Charbonnier/Klos in the same time period. Night and day.

@@TheCfk84 Absolutely. I've always been of the opinion if it wasn't for Goram in the Old Firm games in the 1995/96 season, we would have won the league that season. To be positive, Kerr was decent for a while, and Gould was good the year we stopped the 10, but we're grasping at straws. And when you put it like this, it's not even close: - Chris Woods (England goalkeeper) - Andy Goram (voted Rangers' greatest ever goalkeeper) - Lionel Charbonnier (World Cup winner) - Stefan Klos (Champions League winner) When it came to goalkeepers in the '90s the only glimmer of hope was when Ally Maxwell replaced the long-term injured Goram for a while - Maxwell handed us an Old Firm game (2-1 at Ibrox) on a plate and lost them them the Scottish Cup Final to Dundee United. He was mince - but he still would have been good enough to be our first choice keeper.

    - Forster and Boruc the best - with Forster edging it for me. - Broto was very good and I remember he had a very good performance in an Old Firm game at Ibrox - I never understood why he was never given more of a chance, especially with Rab f'ing Douglas in the team. Should have replaced Douglas. - I was very much in the 'Douglas oot' camp - he was hopeless. Not only Seville but he let us down time and time again, especially in the big games, which he clearly couldn't handle. The Rangers 3-3 game also sticks in the mind - all goals he was at fault, and 2 of them were absolute howlers. Embarrassing. Love Martin O’Neill but he had a serious blind spot when it came to Rab Douglas. - You say too many kind words about Bonner. OK he deserves respect but he was never even THAT good in the '80s. And he was painfully, embarrassingly past it post-Italia '90 - he was absolutely shocking and out of his depth in the '90s.
