I love both WDAS and Pixar, but Pixar movies will always be my fav! The Toy Story series are my fav animated movie series. The Lion King is my 2nd fav animated movie.

@@shadedepeche2556 what ppl are u talking to, maybe it's getting more recognition now but 2 years ago I remember saying it was my fav disney movie and like 3 ppl in the group said it was "boring" and a "meh" movie. It also used to get not only mediocre but even negative reviews just like 2 yrs ago. Maybe things have changed but it's still FAR from getting the credit it deserves, especially when it's pretty much a goddamn masterpiece. So....yeah. I don't like calling beloved films "overrated" but TPATF surprisingly is kind of shat on by a lot. It's underrated to me.

kesha iz cute That is an overlooked movie. An underrated movie is one that gets more criticism and hate than it deserves. Saying a movie is boring is an excuse to not talk about, overlooking the movie and not underrating it. Things have definitely changed as people are now realizing this is one of Disney’s last 2d animated movies though, and I wasn’t in America when the movie first came out, so maybe I missed out on the criticism, so don’t quote me on that.

For me, Hercules and The Emperor's New Grove are two of the most underrated Disney movies in my opinion. Hercules has FANTASTIC music and Emperor's New Grove is one of the most quotable moves ever. Both are so good!

same!! i can understand why people don't think it's that great cuz it's not a movie that's meant to get you in the feels or keep you on edge, but it's just so incredibly charming and cute that i just adore it regardless. plus, I love the characters and that's one of the most important aspects of a movie for me! duchess is just amazing, what a classy cat, o'malley's cool, the romance is simple and cute, and the kittens are so real, the way they fight and play together. i just love it and i can't really give a logical explanation why

@@ghosthq100 Ratatouille is my least favorite Pixar film. The idea of rats cooking food for human consumption is revolting. And don't get me started on the incredibly awkward scene between Linguini and Colette. I don't need to mention which one it is, I hope. Not even Cars 2, as bad as it is, deserves as much "dislikeness" (for lack of a better word) as Ratatouille. I'd still give it a C-, however. It has very good animation. But the weak characters (other than Ego, who unfortunately isn't in it much) and a rather mediocre story turns it off for me.

I have a story I suddenly remembered that you might laugh at: My 6th grade Social Studies teacher told us once or twice that his favorite disney princess was Pocahontas (doubt I spelled it right) and most of assumed it was because it based of a historical story, and he teaches history. However, during the last week of school, we all decided to just ask him why, and he just answered with " 'cause she's a hottie"

Pocahontas is my favorite too. I had a full Pocahontas costume as a child complete with necklace, tattoo armband and moccasins. I used to sit in the tree in in my front yard dressed in my costume, talking to it like grandmother willow.

Tarzan, The Emperor’s New Groove, Lion King, Meet the Robinsons, and Lilo & Stitch are my top favorites. Tarzan has a great soundtrack. I love Lilo & Stitch’s Animation style and story. The Emperor’s New Groove is currently my favorite movie and it also has my favorite character, Kronk. I just love its humor. Meet the Robinsons is underrated

When he emphasized the relationship betwern Jim and Silver in Treasure Planet, I was like "YESSS, THEIR RELATIONSHIP IS EVERYTHING!"

I was surprised that Big Hero Six wasn't higher. The superhero stuff was fine, but what made the movie stand out for me was how well it handled the topics of depression and the grieving process. Depression isn't always crying constantly and moping around; sometimes it's just being blank and not wanting to do anything (like not attending your college classes). And though Hiro starts looking like he's getting better after he starts going after Callaghan, the only way he can actually move on is to accept Tadashi's death and start processing his grief.

Personally, I enjoyed Atlantis because it’s fun and entertaining. But the plot and character development left much to be desired in my opinion and I agree with Brian’s assessment that it was an animated movie that was trying to be live-action. Disney needs to listen to us fans and make THIS live-action remake and not the CGI Robin Hood remake they’re fixing to make

Why does Chicken Little never gets some love?! I remember liking it as a "kid" aka teenager. I watched it like 5 times. I'm now 30, but it holds a place in my heart. I'd put it B or C. Zootopia surprised me! 1 of the best Disney movies of the 2010s. A or S for me. Meet the Robinsons was fun! Very underrated. B or C. The Lion King... My childhood. SSS for me.

From what I know, Chicken Little was accepted over another movie by one of the co-directors of Mulan, Barry Cook, named "My Peoples". "My Peoples" was supposed to be a Romeo and Juliet-esque like movie where two people fall in love from rival families, the Harpers and McGees (the lovers names being Elgen Harper and Rose McGee). Father McGee makes a potion to erase Elgen's memory but the potion instead gives Elgen the ability to make his dolls come to life. Afterwards, the dolls attempt to stop the rivalry and bring the couple together. Some Disney executives liked the idea but wanted some changes that Barry wasn't in favor in but gave into, which didn't matter cause Chicken Little beat it to its release and they stuck with that instead.

yeah, the Silver Age's got some of my faves... I get why he's disappointed in them, but since I didn't necessarily encounter them in release order, I don't hold those "trying to mimic the Golden Age" elements against the Silver Age films. Also, 100% agreed, he's a joy to listen to

When you look at how relatively crude Steamboat Willie is, basically Ub Iwerks cranking out a thousand drawings a day, and realize Snow White came out almost exactly nine years later. Nine years! And there really wasn't even outside competition pushing them. Under one roof, a group of artists just went ahead and created arguably the high-point of an entire artform by the end of the Golden Age, inventing all the tools, rules, and technical wizardry to go along with it. It's hard to think of another explosion of creative energy that can match it.

ALADDIN WILL FOREVER BE MY FAVOURITE DISNEY MOVIE! The original just did everything right, music, characters, story, stakes, morals, atmosphere, memorable moments, COMEDY! The remake was surprisingly just as good, it had its own set of pros and cons but I do respect them for changing the story just slightly to give characters like Jasmine and Jafar better motives and stories while sacrificing Iago, but it still had the charm and magic of the first story! That's just my opinion, both renditions of Aladdin were just Top Tier!

I have never been able to write down a whole "top list" of my favorite Disney movies... All I know is that "The Hunchback of Notre Dame" is to me the same thing that "The Lion King" is to you. I will love "The Hunchack of Notre Dame" till I die. Then close second would have to be Robin Hood, followed by Hercules, Lilo and Stitch and Aladdin. The other movies I just can't rank :D

@@eldersvelde Yes the musical is golden; so much better than the movie despite the movie being gold standard itself!!! Michael Arden, who plays Quasimodo is brilliant in the role; I met him as well and he's the nicest!!!

I freaking love Princess and The Frog, because the Band Nerd in me fawns over all of the jazzy snazzy Jazz music with the classic band instruments

I’m working on watching all Disney animated movies in chronological order right now and I’m ranking them so I’m having a great time coming back to this video as I go through them and compare our lists!

mulan needs to go a lot higher. incredible songs, amazing plot, great animation, a fantastic storyline, and it was funny. 11/10 movie

My mom loved Copper and every time he was introduced to Tod for the first time in the movie she'd always go, "I'm a hound dog. Awroo-roo-roo!" so I've got a big soft spot for it. Also big soft spot for Meet the Robinsons because it just... It's such a beautiful example of that old Disney Magic I get from the older films. The message that you can be anything and do anything if you only try makes me so happy and it always makes me feel like a little girl again.

Well, if you haven't now, you should never! Out of all the films in the Disney Animated Canon, you need to stay away from that one in particular.

Totally with you on Princess and the Frog- My brother and his family love it. Definitely deserves more love.

Brother Bear is great, very underrated in my opinion. I mean they literally had the main character also technically a villain when he thought he was the good guy and I'm talking about both Kenai and his brother.

It's incredible and different :) Meet the Robinsons and Treasure Planet are very underrated. In fact, they are my favourite Disney movies, because they mean a lot to me xd

i LOVE Princess and the Frog. It's honestly up there with one of the best soundtracks from Disney. Unlike some other movies, I enjoy every song from it. Also I'm so glad you put Chicken Little at the bottom. I despise it lol

@@DavidRay39 I do NOT have very poor taste, I am just not picky when it comes to Disney movies. 85% of their movies are original, humorous, and addictive. And as for The Buck Cluck Question, I do not excuse Buck Cluck for the way he treated Chicken Little, but that is what gave the movie conflict and made it interesting, and at the end of the film, he learned that he needed to stand by his son's side and trust him. So, in conclusion, you are probably just somewhat picky about those certain movies that are a little more on the "Family-Friendly" side, OR, maybe you are against the animation quality and just brought you're feelings out on the plot. But we all have our own opinions :)

THANK YOU! The princess and the frog is one of the better movies in my opinion! For me personally it would go higher but still... Also Lion King... I'M WITH YOU! I love it that much too... but there are some where I'm like "Um ok I see it there but I would've put it higher than that"

I didn't realize how many Disney movies I've either not seen at all, or haven't seen since I was really little & don't remember. I was surprised at how low Hunchback was (& that you thought Hercules was better). While I agree that it was tonally inconsistent (Lindsay Ellis did a great video about that), they did such a great job with everything else, I can overlook that.

"Lilo and Stitch" should be S tier, ultra casually

I’d put Treasure Planet in SSSSSSSSSSSSSS tier

It’s so interesting so see how different everyone’s opinions are!

Please do this with Pixar, the live action remakes, and the MCU.

I feel like frozen 2 and lion king are some of the best Disney movies for my opinion

I really wish that Sleeping Beauty was higher up on the tier. The soundtrack is just amazing! I totally agree on The Lion King though.

Sleeping beauty is literally my favourite disney movie it's action packed stylistic and has the best music out of all of them in my opinion, it would be SS on my list

I think that Dumbo should be in SS because that's my favorite movie.

I’m impressed that Pinocchio made it to A, it’s one of the best Disney movies ever!

Left out most of Disney’s sequels, but to be fair, most of them were released straight to DVD/VHS for a reason

A Goofy Movie was released by DisneyToon Films and Walt Disney Pictures, not Walt Disney Animation Studios. The list of movies he did were all by the Animation Studios.

He didn't. He said he was only doing the first party movies by Disney animated studies itself, which none of those movies were. A bunch of those were Disney Movie Toons.

@Tim Schmidt It's not that he wasn't doing sequels. We had Wreck It Ralph 2, Frozen 2, Rescuers Down Under, and Fantasia 2000. He said he wasn't doing anything not done directly by Disney Animated Studios and then listed examples which includes all the direct to DVD sequels (and some that had theater releases).

I just want to say that i love your channel and watch it day and night! Keep Up The Great Work :)
