The greatest part about mario sluggers was that you can literally make a team out of any mario character ever, you can play as a goomba or a squid if you really wanted to, you can even put your miis in there. That’s all I really needed as a kid

MLB Power Pros Wii probably has the best Season Mode of any game I've played. You can control EVERYTHING, there are so many statistics, and it just never gets old. I still play it sometimes. Success Mode has great replayability as well.

People play MVP Baseball 2005 to this day, it’s the NFL 2K5 of baseball games. The second greatest baseball game of all time to me is Baseball Advance (2002) for the GBA, I played that game religiously via emulator on PC. It probably also had the forefather of The Show’s PCI, differing in size for each player.

Love your vids. Keep it up!

All the 90s baseball games were part of my childhood. The Ken Griffrey Jr N64 game will always have a special place in my heart.

My personal favorite baseball game(s) was MLB Power Pros. The game is extremely unknown for the most part which is sad because it is easily one of the best sports games ever made in my opinion. I still will play it every now and then even though it is 12 years old

The Ken Griffy Game on N64, back then I had a notebook where I could keep track of all the homeruns from each player. And before the days of systems keeping track of how many hours you played, I kept track of that too... and no joke.... I spent 3211 hours playing that game......played it for years

i laughed so hard at the RBI part that was hilarious. i was literally thinking like 3 mins before that part “it’d be funny if he just put all the rbi games in f tier right away”. well done😂

Haha same. 17 and 18 and earlier were horrible. At least for 19 and 20 they're starting to add pitching and batting systems which is respectable, but MLB the Show will always be the best once it comes to Xbox. I only really do franchise on RBI baseball, but even that sucks because free agents never change and there's no draft.

This guy knows what he is taking about. Backyard Baseball 01 and Mario Superstar Baseball were a big part of my childhood. They deserve to be on S tier. Great video.

Man, MLB 2K9 is the first baseball video game I played as a kid. I made COUNTLESS franchises on them! Such a fun game. I remember I made a franchise where i traded for all the great 1B men in the same season. Mark Teixeira, Prince Fielder, Paul Konerko, Miguel Cabrera, Justin Morneau, Joey Votto, Adrian Gonzalez, Ryan Howard, Albert Pujols, etc. Adam Dunn and Manny Ramirez were always free agents. Clayton Kershaw was SOOO easy to trade for. They wouldnt give you the prospects real names. So Madison Bumgarner was Matt Baker, and Jason Heyward was James Hunter, and David Freese waa Doug Flukin, and Buster Posey was Ben Peck, and Matt Weiters was Mark Weathers, etc. Plus the soundtrack was AMAZING! 2K9 will always have a place in my heart for intrducing me to baseball.

Did you ever play the Super Mega Baseball Series? The best experience with a baseball game i ever had. You can even install full MLB Rosters (on PC).

The Bigs 2 for me for sure is S tier the game is still amazing to this day & it has one of my favorite baseball players of all time also y does this tier list not have Super Mega Baseball 1 & 2 at least the 2nd one was amazing I give the 1st a C but the 2nd defiantly an A

Wii sports is S tier for me. So many memories...

Got to give some love to NCAA baseball O6 though! Could be awesome if they revisit that idea and created a way to build your player in college and then move him to the draft in another game

Wii Sports deserves S imo, I’ve played it for 8 years and it’s never gotten old.

Dude I have so much nostalgia for 2k13. From 2017 through the end of 2019, I played that game pretty much endlessly, because I was broke and couldn't afford a ps4. I will admit, it's glitchy as hell and feels unfinished, but for me, the nostalgia is real.

You forgot MLB Powerpros. That game was soooo good I loved the announcer he was cracked out lmao. Also Xbox one has a game called Super Mega Baseball 1 and 2. They’re actually half decent.

MLB 2005 was the last baseball game I really played until OOTP 19. Fantastic game - spent days and days on it. Still remember hitting a home run with David Wells one day :'D

Sluggers is underrated and Superstar is amazing. I also am really surprised you just said the Wii is a bad console.

MetalCrow448 there is many fantastic games on the wii. Debatably the best 3-d Mario. One of the most played mariokarts that’s still played to this day. Wii Sports Resort really used the motion control well. Many games like pikmin worked better on the wii, and the wii could play GameCube games so it was basically a much better GameCube

Backyard baseball 2001 was dope. I had several 200 plus runs games that took days to finish. Haha

If only they released an English version of Pro Yakyuu Spirits (Think of it as a Japanese Baseball version of The Show) Played some of it, and the hitting and animations IMO is better there than in The Show. That being said, MVP Baseball 2005 is the greatest.

I have an xbox and I played RBI Baseball 18 twice and haven't touched it since. I can't wait until MLB The Show is multi-platform

Bruh, in defense of Ken Griffey on the SNES, i beat the entire 162 game campaign and in my humble opinion, it does still hold up

Yo straight up mario baseball on the wii was so fun I used to play that in college with the boys a lot in the dorms. If you haven't done that play on the toy field and basically play it like drunk driving. You'll have a blast

When you were dragging OOTP to C I was dropping my jaw. I actually think it deserves an S tier because nothing comes close to it in terms of competition and the developers actually listen to those who play the game. The forum is nothing but back and forth between players, testers and the developers. Sure not actually playing sucks but it does have an in game mode which you can control very much of it. You are right that it's not for everyone but those games save me when I'm at the airport/on flights, can play a great game without looking like you are.

MVP Baseball 2005 is my all time favorite!! I loved playing with the minor league teams!! If you really want to go back Intellivision II Baseball, and the original Nintendo R.B.I were great!! I also enjoyed MLB 2K06!!

Dude you’re tripping out if you think that the current MLB The Show games are better than the old ones. MLB 10-13 are not only the best baseball games ever, they’re probably the best sports games ever created period. The pitch speed has been gradually nerfed so bad since 13 that it’s unplayable. Hitting is stupidly easy on the newer games and they’ve taken so much of the cool presentation stuff out as well.

You're missing: - Baseball Stars - RBI Baseball - (Super) Baseball Simulator 1.000 - Triple Play Baseball (from the 90's) - Bottom of the 9th (yes, I'm old) But you did get MVP 05 right. Best game ever. Whoa oh ooo, whoa oh oh ooo, we got the noise so here we go!

Its been a while since I have played ps2 baseball games ⚾️ . But I recall 1 of them had a view option where you can be the runner on first leading off and trying to steal 2nd than 3rd ect. Does anyone remember which ps2 baseball game allowed you to play the runner instead of only the batter on offense. It might have had a mini game of playing pickle as well

Mlb power pros 2007/2008 is a really good obscure baseball franchise that I'm sad never caught on in the states. They have a cute chibi anime caricatures, tons of modes like home run derby, franchise, and create a player. Also, the create a player had an actual storyline other than making it to the bigs. You had to balance school, work, and baseball and maintain relationships eith friends and family, and there are multiple endings too. I think it was ahead of its time and it's still an ongoing seeies in japan.

I couldn't agree more about MVP Baseball 2004. I still play it as well on my Xbox 360. The Dynasty Mode is outstanding!!!

I was hoping to see Mike Piazza's Strike zone for the N64 on the list. The 3d modeling wasn't the best but, I enjoyed drafting and creating your own team. It's good for nostalgia.

I missed most of those 2K baseball games once the show came out in 2006 I basically stuck with that from then on out, and before that it was MVP baseball and then before that it was MLB 99 and MLB 2000, I knew that high heat existed and the 2K existed in that these games were around but the only time I would play those sort of games was on my Dreamcast or Playstation 1 if I would rent one from Blockbuster I still put MVP 04 and MVP 05 along with the show 06 as three of my favorite baseball games today they still have fun franchise modes and it's cool doing it with the older players but the controls are great and graphics look good

MLB Power Pros, both the original and 2008, are GREAT games. They have different modes where you can control basically everything, and they have A LOT of stats for everything. Success mode (specially on the first title) is awesome, plus the 2008 one has the MLB Life mode. Plus they have available for purchase many different pitching and batting styles, alternate and practice uniforms from every team, some fantasy stadiums with their own singularity, and a collection of baseball cards from the players of every team in those years, with some info about these players (info also about every team and every stadium). Highly underrated games, no doubt.

All Star Baseball 2000 for N64 was my first game and it was great. The graphics for the time were incredible.

So funny story... one of the first games I had for ps2 was MLB mvp 2004... and since the player was from the cardinals... from there on I went to become a cards fan cause at the time... player is from said team, that team must be best team 🤣🤣(my though process at the time)... a separate funny story... I searched the cover again for the game... swear that I thought It was Jim Edmonds on the cover... it was Albert Pujols... I just had a moment of realization

MVP & Slugfest. S Tier Games. Crazy to think the Creators of Mortal Kombat made Slugfest.

Wow the S tier is spot on to how I feel for every game! (except Slugfest, I haven't played that yet). For me, Mario Superstar Baseball edges out Mario Sluggers for sure. Plus I thought I was the only one who preferred the first Ken Griffey on N64 over the second AND the SNES one (which never clicked for me despite the praise). And The Show 17 is my favorite out of the three Shows I've sunk my teeth into (15, 16, and 17). I wish this list had Super Mega Baseball 1-3, Power Pros, and the NES baseball games like Base Wars and Baseball Stars, then it would be complete.
