Arguably the greatest team of all time is at the bottom? Its not like winning with a team built around pure shooters was an accomplishment Its not like they didnt have multiple players and a style of play that revolutionized the game History will see them and their title wins as some of the most influential in NBA history and the loss to the Cavs will be seen in an equal light

I think you're underrating Tim Duncan when Spurs won NBA Championship 2003. Tim Duncan was amazing throughout the entire post-season. He basically carried them when David Robinson was washed up and both Manu & Parker were still inexperienced. It definitely deserves at least a top 10 spot.

I respect the pistons run greatly, however I would place it at number three. It was a great run (No all stars on the team I think) but I think the 2011 ring elevated Dirk into the all time top 20-25 of all time. Additionally it was a revenge tour from what happened in 2006, and it was the first title in franchise history. Furthermore, the road the mavs went through to win was amazing. Sweep Kobe, gentleman sweep Durant and beat the heat super team in 6.

Hitto I agree the pistons should be on this list, but people act like that Piston had no all stars, Ben Wallace was an all star that year and they also had past/future all star Rasheed Wallace, and future all stars Rip Hamilton and Billups. So everyone needs to calm down comparing that team to scrub Pacers team. Did y’all forgot that team was coached by Larry Brown.

Great video! As a Spurs fan though, I would flip ‘07 and ‘05. 2005 Pistons were the best team we faced up to that point. We smacked them in the first two games but they completely obliterated us the next two. So much so that years later Nazi Mohammad said that the Spurs big 3 were rattled in the locker room after game 4 and felt they might actually lose the series. There was pictures of Tim Duncan with a towel over his head and Pop consoling him. That 05 series was scary, if it wasn’t for some Manu/Horry/Timmy heroics we were toast. So I remember that one more fondly than ‘07 which was basically us against young Bron.

@@DeadxThrone1 2014 2011 wasn't as traumatizing because everyone knows how the Heat could have and should have won that series. All LeBron had to do was show the hell up. It was frustrating more than anything. In 2014, there was absolutely nothing the Heat could have done differently to stop that Spurs team. D Wade could have been his 2009-11 self, Bosh could have had his best series, it wouldn't matter. The Spurs were that locked in. At one point in Game 3 they were shooting damn near 90% from the field. The Heat with back to back titles already to their name seeking at 3-peat, looked outclassed, puzzled, & traumatized by the same team they managed to beat 12 months prior.

Realistically it was supposed to be a 5 game series and that's how far it went, it had no business going to 6 or 7 games considering the warriors were just that much better than everyone else in the league. I still think the 2017 finals was a lot better than like the 2007, 2009, 2002, and a few more finals series he had ranked above it.

  • @anf9311

I don't get why they should have swept or even dominated in 2015. This isn't a young LeBron vs. an experienced, multi-champion Spurs team. This was a multi-champion, battle tested LeBron, vs. a young up-and-coming Warriors who was in their 1st year of being an elite team. The 2 seasons prior they were a 6 seed. They turned heads in 2013 making the 2nd round but lost in the 1st round of 2014; narrowly but lost. They showed they could become a contender, but not a 67 win, best team in the league led by an MVP type of contender the very next season. Klay and Draymond/Barnes were only in their 4th and 3rd years in the league. This was LeBron's 5th year.. making the finals.. in a row.. He isn't going to struggle like he did in 2007 where you could argue he had a worse roster than this one. Are we really going to think that an 11th year LeBron, with 2 titles, years of deep playoff experience, pressure and expectations, motivated by the goal of winning one for Cleveland, is going to look at the 2015 Warriors, and think he can't win a game because he doesn't have Kevin Love or (after Game 1) Kyrie? Warriors should have struggled a bit to win that title. It was their first time making a DEEP playoff run. They didn't make the finals 4 straight years and 5 overall like the guy on the other side. It was unfamiliar territory for them.

Found the Golden state fan 😂. Nah, but in all seriousness, you have a good point but i agree more with Dom on this one. Defying all expectations always beats living up to them in my opinion. I think basketball history understands the difference between Dominance(96-98 Bulls, 2000's lakers) and just a pure deck-loaded all-star team(2017-2018 Golden State). I truly wish GS never picked up KD, because i loved what GS was before him. But i cant say if i was gm of GS that i wouldnt have picked up KD too. History will be kind to them, it just probably wont shower any individual on that team as the greatest.

All the bulls chips from 96-98 should be discounted too(I know his list isn't going back that far) but they're not. This whole narrative is just being pushed by bronsexuals in the media and salty ass fans of loser teams like Dom and his celtics who have no shot. They have bought into the weak ass narrative of chips meaning less and more because it has become evident that LBJ wont be winning any more so now they wanna discount winning and success on the big stage and start disrespecting all of the all time greats who WON like kobe, duncan, and say now "oh, winning one for Cleveland is worth 2 chips (lmfaooooo)" and all kinds of nonsense to prop up one player and his legacy and its fucking pathetic.

@@camuscc truthfully it was never a narrative until lbj started losing all the time in the finals. I've have never in my 30+ years heard some shit like "MJ winning 6 for Chicago is worth 15 or Duncan winning 5 is worth 10" or anything of that shit before lebron. I mean besides the Lakers none of those other greats were drafted to some prestigious franchises until they got there. It would be ridiculous if steph curry fans started saying in 2015 his chip was worth 2 or 3 because of how terrible the franchise was before he got there cause it would've sounded idiotic. Just as idiotic as saying Kobe and shaq beating the Pacers or spurs beating the nets or warriors beating the Cavs should discount their titles either. If Cleveland really deserves that 2016 title, they would have put up a fight in 2017. We all know why they won in 2016. If Green played and Bogut didn’t get hurt, this series is over in 5. Nobody saw any of those circumstances happening. Also GS can do something no one else has, 4 titles in 5 years. Also a 3 peat would put them on a list with 3 legendary teams, Lakers, Bulls and Celtics.
