you can tell that jd2023 will be another jd2022 but way better. i love just dance for changing things around even though we’ve been requesting them for years to level up their maps and choreographies

Well, many songs can't be used to mashups because they have camera zooms and angles. But if they had the choreos recorded to be there, it could be possible.

I loved the sweat version in Just Dance 4, it was way more interesting than the one used in games after. It was also one of the highlights of the game for me

1 - JD4. Absolutely perfect game in every way. I don't dislike a single routine in this game and it brings the nostalgia. 2 - JD14, lots of content (all of it really good) and online play. I remember playing this game more than any other as a kid 3 - JD22, definitely the biggest newer game masterpiece. Lots of great choreos 4 - JD19, this game has very solid songs although the choreos are just slightly lacking. still a great game overall 5 - JD16. I actually quite like this game because of the memories. Lots of fantastic routines 6 - JD15. Not as memorable as the ones above it but I played it a lot and it's fun to play 7 - JD3. A pretty great game for how old it is, tons of iconic content. Tracking isn't great but everything else solid 8 - JD20. Sort of generic but way better than 21 and contained tons of solid routines 9 - JD17, not many memorable choreos and an all-over-the-place kind of game 10 - JD2, once again too old and too poor tracking, even though it has some all-time classic choreos 11 - JD21, choreos too repetitive and not memorable (with a few exceptions) 12 - JD18, i hate this game for some reason. it has a few good routines but most of the game is just awful imo 13 - JD1, just doesn't hold up anymore

I agree with Just Dance 4 over Just Dance 2022. JD2022 should of been the best Just Dance game because of the choreo & song choices, but what sets it back to me, is the lack of stuff like mashups & battle, and how they're using the same list screen since 2019.

just dance 2 and 3 will always be my favorite ones, I have zero complaints about them, just dance 1 and 2018 are a close 3rd and 4th best

see the thing is i litterally had the same video idea but im always too lazy to finish them through, great job tho youre vids are always stunning

While I haven't played all of the songs fron each just dance (currently doing it i have completed 4, 2014, 2016) I have played a good amount of choreos, so I'll be ranking the games except for 2021 which I don't own 12- 2018: When I think of a just dance to play I usually forget this one, while the colors were vibrant it really felt that just dance was becoming a child's game and not a family game 11- Slightly better than 18,though there are some good song like OMG, finesse, and Mad Love 10-Just Dance 1: The first one I owned, I don'r think it is that bad but I do understand why it is a bit forgotten 9- For me 3 just felt like an aesthetically darker version of 2, though I can't deny how much the game gave to just dance like mojo, mashups, the first extreme 8- 2016 Most of the maps felt mediocre,however the backgrounds and the difficulty of the choreos was something I liked. However this game shines mostly because of unlimited 7- Just dance 2015: I do like the inclusion of camera movements, however the lack of content after 2014 really killed the game, the tracking system is also questionable, 6- Just Dance 2017 The songlist is perfect, the coreos are awesome, and while I do not like te mashups that much it was the last game that had them 5- Just Dance 2020: Aa an anniversary it needed more, as game I think it was great, good songs and choreos, as well as a good amount of alts 4- Just dance 2022: This game is almost perfect, great songlist and choreos, however the lack of gamemodes and the WDF being just a tournament brings it to this position 3- Just Dance 2014: The game with the most amount of content, great choreos where just a few are not my favorites. ik that this is your opinion, but in my opinion, just dance 3 is up there in top 5 just dance games

I have to be honest, the only Just Dance game at th very top for me is Just Dance 4. It was my first JD game and me being more of a gamer than a dancer, I LOVED how each song had achievements to them! It legit made me play the game until I got everything gold. It was amazing! Kept playing for hours, while the new ones I play it here and there every few months in between. I wish they brought the achievements back 😞

My list goes as follows: 1 - Just Dance 2014. This is what Just Dance meant back in the day. It had everything that was good with Just Dance, plus online play and a bunch of DLCs which were gold. 2 - Just Dance 4. Was my first JD game and just has an insane ratio of iconic to non-iconic maps. Disturbia, Umbrella, Call Me Maybe, Good Feeling, Maneater, Crucified, just wow. 3 - Just Dance 3. Super fun choreos, super fun gameplay, and the visuals look stunning. It's the peak of the first generation of Just Dance games. 4 - Just Dance 2016. It's the first game whose announcements I fully kept up with. It has what was back in the day the vibe of the future. The only downside to it that I thought of back in the day was Unlimited, which nowadays I view as an upside. 5 - Just Dance 2015. Awesome sequel to 2014, though the songlist might be a little lacking. It's proof that the Team Just Dance was going in the right direction with 14. 6 - Just Dance 2018. The vibes it brought with the orange UI and the slanted lines were immaculate, and the songlist is awesome with songs like Dharma, Slumber Party, Sax (Unlimited), etc. 7 - Just Dance 2019. It's when the Just Dance Team started taking the path that led to what Just Dance now is, with 2023, but at release it was really disappointing to me, so I'm still bitter over that. OMG, Mi Mi Mi and Work Bitch are highlights from the songlist, though. 8 - Just Dance 2017. This is when the yeared releases model was getting stale. There isn't a single map on that game that's remarkable to me. I was excited for Cheap Thrills, just because I liked the song, but the map was disappointing. 9-13 - Just Dance 1, 2, 2020, 2021 and 2022. I did not play those games and have no intention to do so. From 2020 on I was tired of Just Dance, so I just didn't interact with the franchise for those three years. There is a possibility that 2023 might steal a high spot on this list, though, but I haven't played it so I don't have an opinion. Honorable mention to Just Dance 2 because it was my "unofficial" first JD game. I played it at its original year at a Christmas party with my 2nd degree cousin's Wii, and loved TiK ToK.

Yeah, I feel like the 4th game was it’s peak

May be controversial but 2022 was actually quite disappointing for me. I don’t like most of the songs and the ones I did like I am not too keen on the chores. For example, happier than ever I think the choreography is awful. Just walking my arms about and especially on switch it is quite hard to score very well on it. I think the extremes are the only thing that keeps this good though I did wish that the K-pop had trio and quartet mediums because the solos are very lacking.

I agree with you 100%. I personally think that some of the songs that they chose in 2022 should've been in earlier games. Like Believer, Chandelier, Level Up, Sua Cara, and Break My Heart.

You’re not alone, I absolutely adore JD2021 and was put off JD for a while after JD2022 was released as so many people were hating on it and it made me feel sad. JD2021 made me feel so excited for future editions and see it get torn apart by the community was kinda repelling. ‘Without me’ is my favourite ever JD routine and was one the most unexpected addition to JD and I loved it for that. It also featured soo many nostalgic songs.

For me, my favorite Just Dance games are 4 and 2014 with 2022 being a worthy contender and 1 and 2018 are my least favorites (sorry for the fans of the last one).

i recommend getting the xbox 360 and a kinect for jd4 bc the tracking is not that bad even though its over a decade old. nothing like the xbox one kinect but still better than the shitty ps camera. the wii tracking isnt that great but it always hits dif playing on the wii every so often

MY OWN Ranking: 14: Just Dance 2023 (It was really disappointing when I started to play it, it doesn't have a lot of good maps and game modes) 13. Just Dance 2021 (The choreos were kinda bad, there were more effort on the effects than in the choreos) 12. Just Dance 2018 (I rlly don't have a lot to say, there are a lot of bad maps) 11. Just Dance 2024 (It's a decent improve from JD 2023, it has more better maps and it brought back the sweat mode and more game modes) 10. Just Dance 2020 (There are some boring maps, and the songlist is kinda not my style even there's Kill This Love and Fancy) 9. Just Dance 2016 & 2022 (2016: A forgettable game, but it has some good maps and it introduced a lot of game modes. 2022: This one really surprised me, I couldn't believe that this game has such good maps, but sadly, it lacks of game modes) 8. Just Dance 2015 (It used to be my favorite game, but now I know that it has some of the worst maps, but it also has great maps, so it isn't THAT bad) 7. JD 1 (I know that this game feels pretty outdated, but even though it is and it has very simple maps I can't deny that they are fun. I will be honest, I can’t rate all since I only played 2018-2022 but I can still do a rating for it. 5th place is 2021 cause the choreos got so boring after such time that idk, I just don’t play it anymore 4th place is 2018 cause even tho it’s pretty fun, it also gets boring really easy and switch scoring is pain 3rd place is 2022 cause it’s such a nice game and such good choreos but the world dance floor kinda destroyed it 2nd place is 2019 cause it was my first just dance and the choreos are just such fun, even the extremes are good 1st place is 2020 cause I spent my whole time while covid to play it and the extremes, the songs, the world dance floor and allstar mode just make it perfect All in all is just dance a wonderful game that can just help you in a lot of situations and has such wonderful and nice community. Part of me would think Just Dance 2023 would change the menu layout since they already used JD2019’s layout 4 times already. The other part might think that JD2023 would use JD2019’s menu because knowing Ubisoft, they’re getting lazier and lazier and eventually they would keep removing more features on Just Dance. I actually made a one star review of JD2022 because of this and believe me, that game sucked so bad. Let’s hope the next game at least adds new features and use a different menu. Also, personally, I am hoping for be of the songs to be Undertale themed like maybe Ubisoft can add Sans (and Papyrus, Frisk and Toriel) or something.

@@midori7217 As someone who’s playing the game, especially since it is close to Christmas, I am amazed by the new design of the menu and it looks better. The choreographies have a much better quality in terms of the moves and the camerawork. The downsides are that once Santa installed JD2023 for my new Nintendo Switch, there were lots of problems on downloading all other songs apart from Sweet But Psycho and Dynamite (Extreme). And yes, there are not much features here but we still have online multiplayer as the new feature. I’m likely giving this a 7/10 at this point.

For me my favourite is JD2021 as I was more excited to find songs that I had not heard of along with songs that were very nostalgic to me. The soundtrack is actually one of if not my favourite in the series. I also found the routines to be very fun, colourful and unpretentious unlike JD2019 and especially JD2022 (I detest the zooms in a lot amount of the routines and believe they completely spoilt routines like ‘Mood’ and ‘I’m outta love’ which I wanted to like but felt were kinda disastrously handled). Also JD2020 was soo boring at times and the routines were a lot more repetitive than JD2021, even JD2018 had more repetitive routines than JD2021 so I it would be nowhere near the bottom. The choreos are NOT mediocre (especially at best, as I feel this has some masterpieces like ‘Without me’, Buscando, Bailando, Zenit, Heat Seeker, Georgia (a very underrated routine), Don’t start now extreme, and ATGGGTH (my favourite Billie Eillish routine in JD so far). Even the worst routines were better than those in other games. This was the most fun I had in a JD game and to see get ripped apart put me off for a while. I hope that JD2023 returns to the classic storytelling feel that was present in a lot of JD2021 routines.

Haven’t played 2022 for myself because the songs didn’t look consistently good as the refining visual quality they were given. But out of all the songs in 2022 i _have_ played were Rock Your Body - imo was tricky to learn but was fun, Mr Blue Sky - graphically impressive and genuinely a good time, and Save Your Tears - A nice addition, choreo was doable. I’m not a fan of TikTok trends and I believe this game relied too much on those and it looked dogwater. I can argue about 2021 since it was the first ever game in the series where i didn’t bother trying to unlock everything and didn’t care about Megastaring every song. Choreos were really unbalanced with difficulty, you got the baby easy songs which were over half the list (about 30 of them) then there you have the extremes and alternates that go apeshit. I tried grinding on those extremes that were my favorite difficulty but i was already so bothered and unamused from the game itself. The only time i’d go back to this game was to spend a month on jdu. So there i was afraid that 2022 would be the same so I wanted to ditch the release and not buy it altogether. My god I want to make a video about this really badly (return maybe?) and give my word on it. There’s so much i want to talk about that will make this comment forever to finish reading. But in a nutshell, new game bad, older games good. Also nice being back again old friend. best of wishes for 2023 to look redeemable in my eyes. maybe a new UI?

I agree, but I will say 2020 and 2019 were the most weirdest Just Dance games ever!!! At least 2019 was a bit fun, while 2020 had some better songs than 2019, but worse choreography. 2021 was a mix in between of those two.
