Moti- saaheb, you are doing a great job publishing these interviews here. You let them speak, with minimum interjection, which is remarkable. Sometimes I do feel you should have asked more about particular songs etc. but on the other hand, I can see your focus on Dada Burman. Great job, indeed. and looking forward to more such interviews.

pradeep0705 Thank you so much for writing to me. Yes, you are right, my emphasis is on Dada Burman as a lot of lies were being written about him without any proof or reference. Through my interview-videos, I am trying to show how great a man he was. Besides these videos, there is alot about him which I have gathered during my research, and I would say that he was a sage, a rishi in true sense. We have a 7000 member group on Dada on Facebook, where a lot of information is shared on Dada. Thanks again.

RD Burman's other name was Tublu besides Pancham. Every Bong has pet name, tublu is a very common pet name. My great grand father was priminister to the king of tripura, sd burman's family, legal battle lost and kumar sd burman had to give up royal entitlement to other prince, who became the king and had to move to kolkata from agartala. My grand parents remember fondly, how evenings jalsa was held in the palace, and young sd burman used to sing bhatiyali (folk music of bengal fisherman);

@Brajgopal bhai, Dada started mixing folk with classical in 1930 onwards, creating his own fusion music, as per his autobiography.

@Sadhan Hamal No comparison is true. He was equally interested in singers, instruments, lyrics, story, direction, picturisation, and all aspects of film making.

Maine bhi dekha hai, kyon ki maine bhi unke saath kaafi picture ka kaam kiya hai, as a violist aur baad mein arranger. Burman Sahib, gaane ke baad jab aankh kholte the, to saamne waale log ek hi baat bol sakte the, ‘It’s a mind-blowing song’. Yeh hi bolte the sab log. when i first time heard the song of Amar Prem "Doli Mein Bithai ke kahar" i was always surprised as to how beautifully Panchamda composed the song and got it to sing from his beloved Father S.D.Burman and how wud the atmosphere have been at the recording of this fabulous song ; Thanks Moti Dada for bringing us such beautiful memories of both S.D.Burman and R.D.Burman ; God Bless U Moti Dada

Kishore Vittal I have Manohari Singh's voice recorded interview which was later typed by me and signed by him. In this interview Manohari Singh has said that 'Doli mein bithayake' song in Amar Prem was composed by Burman Dada himself.

I have an interview in which Shakti Samanta ,director of amar prem and aradhana has said that all the songs of Aradhana were composed by sachin karta and all the songs of amar prem were composed by pancham da himself including doli mein bithayike kahar.....

Burman Daada jab 'ek haath kaan par lagakar aise gaate thei' ...Isko clear kar de please. Because ek haath harmonium ke keyboard par dusra haath harmonium ki dhaukni (hawaa) par. Phir kaan me dusra haath kaise??

@M Music Aradhana ke saare gaane ke tune compose karne ke time mein table pe rhythm ke liye unka saath swargwasi Amrut Rao Katkar hote thay. Agar aap unka interview jo humne liya hai dekhenge, to unhonein bhi kaha hai ki Dada mood mein aake peti (harmonium) chodke ek haath kaan par aur doosra haath aage uthaaya hua, aise gaate the. Amrut Rao ke Kai parts, unmein se ek part mein hai yeh. Aur unka gaya hua gana recording ke time to aur musicians bajaate thay, aur Dada ke dono haath khaali hote thay, to dhunki mein uthaaya to bhi unko maloom nahi padega. Bablu Chakrabortj, unke aakhri arranger ne kaha hai ki Dada jab gaate thay, to unki aankh band hoti thi, unko kuchch bhi maloom nahin hota tha, aur jab aankh kholi to bhi usi mood mein. Aap hamaare saare video dekhiye to sabh maloom hoga. Comments ke liye, aap ka shukria.

Music 22 Aap ko achcha laga humein khushi hui. Shukriya ki aap ne likh kar humein bataaya. Ranjit Gazmer ji ka ek aur part No. 5 baaki hai woh aap thode dinon me dekh sakenge. Aap RD Burman ka music sunte hain phir to aap ko shayad pata hoga ki baap SD Burman ne kitni mehnat se us darje par pahunchaya aur kaabil kiya. Baap-bete ka aapas mein bahut pyar tha. Ek aur shaks jisko sikha-sikha kar SD Burman ne number one banaaya woh Kishore Kumar hain. Yeh baat dono ne maani hai ki Dada ne unko laayak banaya.
