in theatre you would call it a rehearsel stage. I had more the impression of basically equiped than "sets and all ". good sound design and good acting are extremly important for animation movies. 🎭

2 things that I noticed in the film but felt really nice to hear it explicitly said in this interviews: Animation is not a GENRE! It's a medium, i love that the people participating on this knew and understood the difference. The other thing is that they respected children, kids are not stupid (I mean, sometimes they are) and just because something it's aimed at kids, doesn't mean you get to half ass it, also kids aren't all sugar and flowers, they have a very twisted dark side too, they have an interest to the gross, slimy, morbid aspects of life, you don't have to make everything have huge eyes and look cute to appeal to kids. I love this movie, and the people behind it loved it too, and it shows in every frame.

Yes kids can be stupid sometimes. But the fun(?) thing is that SO CAN EVERYONE ELSE! I've been saying it for some time now, no one has a monopoly on stupid people. Not the young, not the old, not anyone. The inspiring thing about that is that it means even the stupidest person ever born can also be smart sometimes. And you? I have no idea who you are, but I guarantee you're much smarter than that.

This video brought tears to my eyes. And I'm not a young "teeny bopper" fan. I am one year difference in age from Johnny. His humble kindness and appreciation without arrogance is incredibly, if not impossible to find from active celebrities in the last decade. He truly is wonderful to his fans and those required to interview him. (Promotion is what he likes the least in making a film.)Yet he does it with a kind and humble heart every time. I am glad he has chosen to take the quieter road when it comes to accusations and the media. Because eventually (happily sooner rather than later,) the truth will raise its ugly head. Johnny will not have been a part of a bickering like a two year old child argument and hopefully the courts will see it and make the right decision. What at an epic moment that would be for him, all victims, especially male victems of domestic abuse and any violence thrust upon them. Good Luck Johnny! Our best wishes are with you always.

Rango is one of my favourite animated movies. When I watched it the first time it was the German version, and I didn´t know by that time, that Johnny spoke Rango (wasn´t a fan of Johnny at that time anyway). Very next day I recommended Rango to my boss, because "it has the ugliest creatures ever in it. You´ll like it!" :-) Only years later I found out, Rango was spoken by Johnny (when I became interested in him and his work), and I was enthusiastic! Still like the movie, the characters, the jokes, and the behind-the-scenes stories. Great movie. Great stuff to have a glimpse inside the production. Thanks for uploading. :-)

I had no idea this was how *Rango* was filmed!! 🤯 This explains why it is such an amazing movie! The characters, the cinematography, the interaction, the exceptional casting, the color and backgrounds, the memorable soundtrack; it’s all so good! I remember being blown away by the dialogue, it was so articulate and hilarious. It remains one of my top #3 animated films, and one of my favorite movies Ever! Very few have impacted me emotionally in theatre like the scene when Rango crosses the busy highway at night, clutching the broken fish, amidst the lights from the speeding cars, so broken that he is not caring whether he lives or dies. I would love to see a sequel, a Rango 2, in which Johnny Depp gets to make a film in this same fashion with fellow actors, having a blast, and follow along a similar Old West story vein where Rango is falsely accused of a horrible wrongdoing, and must set out to clear his name. Wouldn’t that be an epic return to cinema for Johnny Depp, and one where he wouldn’t have to be onscreen, yet still get to work artistically in film. It could have such a wide range of emotions- making you laugh, making you cry, and be one of the most cathartic films ever produced. 💗

_Rango_ looks like no other CG animation movie I can think of. According to the Wikipedia page for ILM, _Rango_ is their first and currently only CG feature film which is a shame because it's a masterpiece as far as I'm concerned. I wonder why they didn't do more? It cost 135 million dollars to make and made 245 million dollars so maybe that's considered a "failure" in Hollywood? It didn't bomb but just made enough to basically break even. That's a shame.

I'm watching this movie rn and I was surprises to see it was made in 2011. It holds up SO WELL. I'm not a big fan of this movie, but each time I watch it (like every x years once in a while) I'm amazed.

Amazing film, and a wonderful behind-the-scenes look into how it was made. So much creativity, vision, and hard work went into this, but the love of filmmaking is what is captured in every frame. Rango is a true work of Art, by artists in the top of their fields. Thank you, Gore, and everyone of you who brought this to life. You are very much appreciated.

Only one of many movies as testament to his range as an actor. He took projects that he knows may not be commercially successful, He believed in the project He did it, because We can! Ha ha ha! He will be a legend in his own right no matter what's the outcome of this messy court battle that He is on.

That was great fun to watch and really interesting. Those actors all looked as though they were having a whale of a time too. It left me wanting more so I get why that actor said he wished it went on longer. I have seen the film but seeing them behind the scenes makes it even more enjoyable.
