The womens version is more gentle, graceful then then men's. But still feel the FEROCITY!

It’s not supposed to be intimidating it’s supposed to raise moral or celebrate or protest an offence it’s just our language almost

I like The Maori people Beacuse their culture isn't like the stereotypical Portrayal of what people think Polynesia culture looks like 😭 It's very scary(in a good way) Intimidating Unique Maori people are really unique 🙏🏽

What does the shaking of the hands mean?

We have always done this, its how we call in our tupuna (ancestors) to shake your hands while dancing is a movement of energy and calling in wairua (spirits)

Shaking of the hands represents life actually, the wiri was to show your Ora, and how alive you are, if you can’t wiri for a long time without stopping then you are dead
