How do you reinstall a rear view mirror please on Freelander 2

Smartbeam work plug and play with the evoque? I dont think so... but the cables for power must be in every car.

Will the smart beam mirror with home link work on a 2010 RR Sport and if so what is the part number for the shroud?

Hi, Do you know if all Evoque's come with the wiring loom to the mirror? I've a basic flip mirror and would like to upgrade but clearly, there is no point if the wiring does not exist...

My 2013 model has the basic flip mirror, but does have the wiring behind the shroud - so guessing they all have.

Never mind my previous comment. Did what powerfulukltd said, put bracket against nut at an angle, put pressure and cranked/turned clockwise. You can feel the tension as it grabs and resists, but then snaps in place.

@@Inhis_beauty place and hold at an angle (tilted left), then push and as you push, turn clockwise... you should feel the tension

Did the high beam assist work with the added camera? I'm guessing it would need to be 'enabled' in software.

Dan Stevens I know this video is year old, but I really would appreciate your help! I’ve fitted a dimming mirror with AHBA - I’ve contacted my local dealer, but they won’t activate edit the CCF for me. Something about they are not allowed to edit factory settings - is there another way around this? Some instructions would be great?

Yes the camera is part of the mirror assembly the AHBA sensor looks like a camera but isnt, the camera for LDW and TSR traffic sign reco is a very small round tube with the camera inside it

Paul B Thank you. I installed it last week. 2 questions for u. 1) For LDW is there supposed to be an alert associated with it? If so, is it audible or seat vibrate? I only get the prompt on the dash. 2) With the new mirror, is Auto High Beam still used? Thanks

@@firescrap to my knowledge ahba still works with the camera, the ldw is a message on dash and a vibration in the steering wheel, you might need to fit the LDW switch which replaces the lecy boot lid switch down by the drivers knee (there are 3 types of switch 1 just for the lecy boot, one for lecy boot plus LDW, and one that has boot, ldw and lecy steps, there might also be one just for steps and boot. if that switch is there is might make the steering vibrate as you can use this switch to turn it off without having to navigate a menu on the motorway

come to think of it the vibrate function might only be if there is lane departure correction where it doesnt just warn it steers you back into the correct lane. so it might just be a visual

Pretty pointless really. Would have been better to at least show the reinstall of the mirror
