Reminds me of the JLR reverse camera which always fail. Dealer charges £300 for it. Despicable.

Remove the outside door handle and all those cables come out with the lock

JLR parts are very expensive so you can understand people trying to save some money but it ends up being false economy in the long run.

The power folding mirrors are affected by this fault too? as soon as drivers door actuator replaced then door locks and power folding mirros will operate properly. Ive already checked them diagnostically and they both fold in and out with actuator diagnostic test. Did you find the mirros would not fold either with the faulty door lock? Just wanting to double check before i replace one.

Clearly word is getting around bonnie Scotland that Roderrick is the man. Gettin fresh Range Rovers in the noo

Common as muck these Sandy, modern day electrical garbage , handles out , so much easier , my mate near me specializes in Landrovers , but he hates the modern ones , he prefers the old nuts and bolts ones , he did a set of points the other day on a series 2 defender , he had to get the old timing light out and dust it off 🤣🤣

What if the door locks with key but not button on key fob

My least favourite jobs faffing about with door internals stripping and fixing door problems could be a profession all on its own.

It’s one of the electric motors that fails. You can buy a new motor for about £20 and replace it. It’s a we bit fiddly but no difficult. This is a common fault that should be fixed by Land Rover as it affects all doors, probably using cheap inferior electric motors. Edit~ I’ve replaced drivers door twice- LR parts and drivers rear once - replaced electric motor.
