Since this is an American channel and they don't know where the different states are located, that's the reason for mentioning south Indian state. And it's just a way of speaking. This is the film directed my sukumar, who is the same director of pushpa. There is a lot of subtexts in this film. You will be blown away for the climax for sure!

10:00 that action is to take away the "dhisti", Dhisti means "evil eye(s)" caused by a lot of people focusing on a person due to his/her good looks or wealth.

Dishti is vikruthi form for the word drishti (prakruthi-vikruthi). Drishti = vision.. In this case bad/jealous looks.

Pushpa is not a great story but allu arjun slayed his acting,I could say one man acting 🔥🔥🔥

Even after watching pushpa, i still think this is Sukumar's best film.

It is good wishes, especially towards kids or young people, to protect them from people who envy about their appearance, deeds or wealth. Generally speaking. Its a broader concept tbh. Mostly movies show Moms do it towards their kid.

This is one of my top favourite tollywood movies.....everything about this movie is perfection 👍🏼

That gesture represents, "I take your bad luck upon myself". Because you do the gesture to their head and then bring it to yours. It's prevalent in most parts of India.
