Vande Mataram is from West Bengal. Vankim Chandra Chattopadhyay wrote it. Odisha has a bad habit to claiming Bengal's culture as their own, from Rasogolla to Vande Mataram they stayed true to their nature.

Rangabati and vande utkal janani have been compsed ages before ram sampath... Vande utkal janani is our state anthem and have same music since it was written and composed in 1912...and rangabati was composed in 1970...but yes respect and thanks to ram sampath he presented it on such a grand platform....

Hi i m from Odisha, India the language is Sambalpuri an Odia... This is a fusion of 2 songs. First one is Sambalpuri. In the song the boy is singing to his girlfriend calling her Rangabati(means shy girl) and by flirting asks her to talk with him with a smile(Rangabati Hasi pade kahalo Katha). Then the girl says " i m so much blushing that my head is spinning so please atop flirting with me(laje laje jhuri jauchi matha lo nai kara nai kara atha) and i m stuck in queen's thread for having dream of a king.(Sapana Rajara sapana Ranir lagi suta mali helena gutha) 2nd part is the national song of the state... In the song we are praising our mother state and saying its always full of happiness and always full of life our mother state.... Other name of Odisha is Utkala..
