@22:20 One improvement I suggest on the Rane firmware side : Ability to permanently map the filter resonance setting to one of the knobs on the mixer in order to sculpt the sound without having to go inside the menus to adjust it. For example we could be able to assign that to the Sample level, Cue/Mix, Mic Tone, Time or Beat knobs.

I sold my s9 and about to order the rane. Can’t wait to play with it

@8:00 My couple of suggestions for improvements in the transport mode : - Some pre-mapped shortcut to switch from INT/EXT mode - When in paused mode, ability to use the two top left nudge transport buttons to cue the track when playing without decks (could also be a shift + Deck browse encoder like on the AMX :))

I like the Rane Seventy.The cross fader tension adjust and seperate loops are the winning feature that make it more appealing then the slightly over the top Seventy Two.The Seventy has the features i need but not a whole bunch of features i will probably never use.Its also cheaper so its a major contender for becoming my main mixer with the Numark scratch as a back up once i have a few quid.

@3:10 the saved loops is strange, I would expect it to work like cues : - tap an empty pad to save the loop - tap normally on the loops to trigger them - shift-tap to a saved loop pad to erase it Why this inverted logic of having to use shift to trigger the loops and no ability to delete them ??

Hello, I would need technical advice regarding the RANE 72 to find out if this mixer is compatible with Mac OS Catalina 10.15.5 (latest update) The drivers available on the RANE site are they functional under Catalina, as well as the firmware update of the mixer. I just got the rane 70 mixer and was wondering how do i play regular vinyl? Does Serato need to be up as no sound is coming out? I just replaced my rane ttm56 mixer where i played regular vinyl without serato.

Yeah, you need to have Serato running like when when you use control vinyls and simply switch the source knob to PH/CD. That should do it.

They did good by having independent loop buttons. Rane 72 dont have that

The auto bpm locks sometimes. Do I always have to hold tap to return to auto bpm. Is there a way to constantly keep the auto bpm engaged without locking the bpm?

Hi guys, I’m wondering if i can add a midi controller as a complimentary device for my Rane Seventy mixer to control more than two decks in Serato DJ? I’m currenly using a rane seventy with a pair of twelve to control deck 1 and 2 and would like to add a midi controller to control the deck 3 and 4. I’m planning to map the midi controller as a deck transport control and also mixer control. As the Rane Seventy is just a two channel mixer, will it able to send all the decks (1-4) sound output into the mixer master output?

Hi there - using more than two decks is not possible with the Rane Seventy.

So I really want a good 3 channel Serato mixer with pads on it and the only mixer I can find is the Mixars Quattro, but I don't like the pad arrangement and the efx and some of the other features. So would connecting the DDJ-SB2 (or some other controller/mixer) via usb, be best way to get more channels?

Actually I think I want to use a CDJ as a 3rd table. Can I use a CDJ connected usb to the laptop, then the rca's out to the Seventy Session, then use the Session knob as a fader? Also how would I use decks 1 & 2 on the Seventy and the CDJ as deck 3 in Serato?

3 channel version would be sick

I am assuming the x3 means all faders are mag 4

What sucks is these companies start isolating out the old equipment and then U purchased a new equipment and it’s not plug and play

If Virtual Dj gave all these features natively they would be an uproar. But because it is on expensive equipment it is evolution lol. Nice mixer tho.

Funny I know two guys that bought this mixer and they both ended up in the shop cause of problems!!! Rane you need to test your shit before u send them out for customers
